I'm assuming "Good Units" is a bar/club and that is where the 21 and over assumptions are coming from.

Well i need to lrn2read sorry.

Also i just called and ask and during the time of the meet and greet it is not an age restricted area. (also it's a meeting space not really a "public club")

Also glad i called since i didn't pay attention to the date and for some reason thought the con was the first weekend in oct. I am really loosing it glad i didn't book a hotel yet would have been the wrong date.

I'm guessing that you don't need a Comic Con badge or anything to get into this event, but would like to know for sure. Anyone?

Wouldn't it be lovely for a bit more clarification? I was over here scratching my head wondering if I need to purchase a CC ticket (Don't think I'm going to that this year) or wondering if I need to RSVP (no mention of that in the announcement). I would hate to take an hour long train ride from Brooklyn just to be turned away at the door. I decided to check out the CoH Facebook page and sho nuff there is a RSVP to the event from the FB announcement. I used to love it when we used to get the latest information from one source, the CoH boards. However once again it seems FB and Twitter trump the CoH boards. Which is a pity since every player has access to the boards, but not every player has FB or Twitter...

I believe that RSVP at COH's Facebook page is a function inherent to Facebook's events page type. It's probably not official.

And no, you don't need a Comic-Con pass to attend the Meet & Greet. You do need one for the panel though
Thanks Avatea!

Mmm, hopefully it won't require a Facebook account. Otherwise most of my friends may find they no longer have an excuse to keep telling me i should get one.

If the RSVP requires a Facebook account, I might not be able to attend because I refuse to reopen an account with that site. Hate Facebook.

Now I'm torn.

On the one hand, I finally have a M&G on my coast, that I can get to w/o flying (though it's still a moderately long trip).

On the other hand, I'm extremely disappointed with the complete lack of "official/red-name" communication regarding the overwhelmingly negative response to the Party Pack, and its poor value as compared to previous packs/boosters. There were some very valid concerns voiced in the official threads, including demonstrable, documented mis-communication by Positron regarding dance emotes in GR, and the direction CoX is taking towards micro-transactions. There was a slew of requests for some kind of response/clarification/assurances and we got absolutely nothing.

Hmmmm...

Soooo... if I go to the M&G will you actually respond to the community's concerns regarding the Party Pack? Or will you ignore people looking for answers there, as you have in the 2 official threads on the topic?

It is my understanding that they are sending letters to the company protesting these Adult Only M&G's as well.

It's their way of saying, "If your alcohol is so important for you that you are willing to ignore a large portion of your player base, then I have no need to meet you."

I recommended that they post something in these forums themselves to show how upset they are. They said that the whole recent "Emote Pack" issue, and how NO ONE at the company ever responded to them, seems pretty clear proof that these forums are useless. (Their words, not mine. Though I am starting to see their points.)
That's not a boycott. It might be, if NC Soft was solely in the business of running Meet and Greets.

Alas, they are in the business of collecting subscriptions. Which, until some of these "displeased" parents are willing to cancel, will ultimately have no effect on NC Soft.

Writing angry letters and storming around the message board (referring to the Party Pack specifically) doesn't impact NC Soft's bottom line.

Wake me up when a real boycott beings.

Your semi-right and I get your point. I have not seen any of them on-line now since the day of the whole M&G message so they may have done just as you say. That would make a total of 5 subscriptions lost for Paragon Studios. Only time will tell though.

Hubby and I plan on being there. Just look for the couple you think are someone's parents and that will be us.

Reed Expos did the Speed Dating thing at the Star Wars Celebration convention last month. I was morbidly curious about it as well, but skipped the convention that day to hang out with family instead.

Just watch? That looks like too much fun. I want to be IN it. However, I don't know how they pair up couples or generally how it works at all. I'll have to check for Youtube footage from previous cons.

I'm not really into cosplay myself (and it can get COLD in New York around October) but I wouldn't mind being on stage for three minutes with the new Mother Mayhem. I'd even have a ball if I ended up with the Hamidon. It's all in good fun.

I'm not sure if I'm going though. My work schedule is a succubus, but it isn't at all pretty.

Fuzzitron, I've never participated in speed dating, but I think the way it works is:

1) They seat all the women at numbered tables.
2) All the guys get a number as well as list of table numbers.
3) The guys start out at the first table on their list, and talk to that woman for three minutes.
4) A bell rings and the guys all move to their second table and so on every 3 minutes or whatever the time interval is.

Well not sure about your cosplay comment fits this event more: http://www.newyorkcomiccon.com/en/NY...F-Dating-Game/

The link you posted was for the speed dating event: speed dating is like 5 min quicky dates mixed with musical chairs. Basicly say you have 10 girls they each sit at a table then guys sit at their table and they chat when the time is up the guy moves to the next table rinse and repeat till you've cycled through everyone. If you hit it off you exchange numbers.

Now that at a comic con is why i want to watch lol.

The one in San Diego was free. I doubt there's a cover charge.

You never know since this isn't an NCSoft-sponsered event.

Well, now we're even with respect to reading comprehension because I read the following post from Avatea as saying, "Since it isn't an NCsoft M&G..."

Oops.
