As for the fancy later event... i don't own dress shoes or even regular sneakers. Although i do have many pairs of boots with varying amounts of eyelets, zippers, steel toes and straps. And a pair of sandals. Barring steel toes my pants situation is similar. Along with multiple pairs of jeans and no slacks that aren't slightly charred or paint-stained. Outside of Henley/t-shirts i do have some clergy shirts and a few button down shirts in addition to the scaled and shiny shirts. My jackets tend to have patches, plates, bolts, assorted other hardware and painting on them.
Eh, i'll think of something.

A "Mishii-Eye For the Geeky Guy" makeover sounds very tempting, but I'm not sure I could afford to go clothes shopping in Manhattan.

On this side note, ya phillygirl! I bringing out own skirt or maybe top combo. I may going to New York to buying a new dress, and heels for the night! We should have a pre-meet shop spree! And maybe we can dragging along some of the guys and dressing them up for them if they have style malfunction.
I wish i had the time and money for a NY shopping spree :/ And i am probably wearing all black so you will hate me but I like it and it is classic I am not the most fashionable girl lol way to much of a geek I could use a mishi makeover too i guess

Jeans (your nicest pair) and a button down or henley with your boots should be ok. Though for your own comfort i would not wear the steel toed boots.

Actually, my "dressier" steel-toed boots are one of my more comfortable pairs of boots. They sort of look and feel like hiking shoes to the point that you can't tell they're steel-toed unless you press down on them. The other steel-toed pair is used for work and are charred, scraped, scuffed and tinted about six different colors, so not as good for a night out.

To be honest i usually just wear what i feel like wearing to events as long as it suits the mood of the event even if it's not traditional formal wear. i do have some tuxedo jackets with tails, although the best fitting one has punk, psychobilly and grindcore patches sewn onto it and a bunch of buttons and ephemera on the lapels. Then again the most formal events i usually attend are gallery openings, concerts and plays, which presumably have more relaxed standards than hotel clubs.

Oh the steel toe sketchers sneakers i got from work feel so heavy and uncomfortable to me... then again i am not used to wearing steel toed shoes so that may be why.

HAHAHA

Yeah... Like I said, it's not what you wear... but how you wear it.

Mishii, I tell you what... If you (And anyone else) have any issues with my appearance, feel free to kindly tell me
Heehee!
No one is saying anything about not looking good. Just not into following trends or rules.

Oh, and anyone who thinks about whether a look is dated, is generally not worried about dating themselves to the current time/trends.
Of course... few ever think modern trends will eventually look dated, hehe.

(All of this is with a smile and excitement to meet up on Friday... Especially if James is wearing a red bow tie!! )

Ugh... is the dress code for the after party or the entire event?

I work with high school kids and on a friday its jeans, skull tshirt and converse...I hope the "Upscale Casual" is for the after hours party only.

If anyone from the champion server is gong, let me know!

It does say for the after party specificly. Also I've been PvP'ing on Champion does that count?

Out of curiousity, where exactly are the codes given out?

If a minor were to come, would it be at all possible for them to get code(s)?

I believe the codes are being given out at the meet and greet which a minor can't attend. They are only doing a panel at the con i don't think they took a booth there.

I'm inordinately tickled by the mental image of James Joyce rolling up to a club in jeans and a tee shirt.

Or hey, maybe I can go in a James Joyce costume. Big fat striped tie and some small round glasses... I'll need that pimpin' hat, though. And work on my Irish accent.

That would be a relatively ironic way to get past the dress code, at least.

Edit: n/m, any respectable Joyce costume would go with the eyepatch motif:

I have a feeling asking PvP-related questions will be met with the standard response.

^_^ I'm too cute to be ignored, no worries. I will have more than usual '' To be announced'' or '' we're'' working on it by the devs.

Phillygirl and I will getting very mean if we have to and double team question panel until they cracking. I am tiny but have very loud voice. And if this not work I guessing we could charm them or offer truth-serum muffins.

One way or other we get answers for all of you and community Mac.
