We’ve noticed a few users have experienced some unusual difficulties with the NCsoft Store, and we’ve made some changes on the backend to address this. If you continue to experience any abnormal behavior, please send us a PM including as many details as possible about what and how you were trying to purchase it so we can look into it.

So far, I've been:
- told I'm not entering a valid number for that type of card
- flat out refused
- suspected of fraud
- flat out accused of committing fraud
- told to try again later or try another retailer (curiously, none sell the pack I'm after, I wonder why...)

This happened before and after you messed with your backend. I was trying to buy the infamous Party Pack, with a Visa Credit Card which expires in 2012, pretty much doing the same stuff I did with all the other packs before it. No joy here.

As per advice from Avatea, I've sent a petition in.

I am trying to buy the Wedding pack, and get the following:

Trying to buy the "City of Heroes® (Europe) Going Rogue™: Complete Collection Item Pack" via the same Paypal account I just paid for another 3 months time with.

does any one know if operating system or virus protection progams are effecting this i runing on win 7 64 bit / webroot antivirus this is to see if there is another link with that or if its JUST the store so to test put yours down maybe we can narrow it down for them to fix

Okay, so explain these for me.

Firstly: Steampunk Charlie paid up his account on September 5th. Today it says his account has been canceled for nonpayment and to contact support. He can't contact support because he has no account, and it won't let him. How is he supposed to contact support like it's telling him to, when support is telling him he needs an account to contact support?

Secondly: I had a card on file with the NCSoft store. I've used it before with no problems. Went to use it today? No card on file, no way to put it on file without buying more game time. If I buy more game time now, I can't afford to buy what I wanted from the store anyhow. How/why did my card get taken off file without my consent? Why is there no easy way to put a card *on* file when you make any purchase, not just game time?


City of Heroes taught me that when the world is burning, you don't just stand by and watch, you grab a fire extinguisher and do whatever you can to stop it-even if it's not much at all. Sign the petition to keep City of Heroes alive HERE.

its there payment issue your card is fine there info is fine its there geting money from bank thats not working so you will not be able to pay for it untell its fix which i hope it will be tomarow. i would pitition it so you dont lose any thing from it

I can't purchase anything, can't update my CC info. 2 of my 4 accounts have expired since I cannot update my credit card on file. Have not been able to purchase boosters since the mutant pack came out. Was not able to purchase GR. Basically waiting for time to run out on my existing accounts and deleting the client from the local computer at this time.

Getting the same error messages as the people above, try again etc etc. Contacted support, it took something like three weeks to get the block on my account lifted (apparently trying more than once had put a block). Still can't purchase anything, cant update billing info.

Basically a six year player is getting thrown out of the game by the new ncsoft store measures (even though my location/situation have not changed for the past four years and I've never been victim of fraud on my account).

I had my account canceled on me last night. I got an email that it had 'expired' wither due to payment failure or active cancellation. *I* didn't cancel it, and the card had not been charged(it was set to automatic payment).

I only managed to get it reactivated today, and had a hell of a time getting access back to the forums and NCsoft support.

I had purchased 5 character slots the day before the sudden cancellation. As far as I can figure, the store is locked out the payment after just using the same Credit Card. Why? Beats me.

Thanks to Kyo for posting about my problem. And thanks to Tim at NC Support for re-enabling my account (twice!).

I think this goes way beyond an issue with the store though. A 47 minute phone call today to get my main NC account reactivated, and then an hour later it's canceled again. Another call to NC support got that fixed, finally.

right now NCsoft is having issues all problems are from the money not being able to come out of cards some how so it will cancel your subscription if they dont get paid. (when i say they its not the card owners its NCsoft) Also people trying to buy stuff like boosters will not work too.

I got the same response while trying to purchase the Going Rogue Complete Collection (Digital Version) for my second account. "We're sorry, but we cannot accept your order at this time." Tried 3 times over 2 days with no luck.

Finally just went to Walmart and picked up a GR Box. Judging from what others here have posted its a good thing too. The Extra game time added to the account will hopefully give support time to figure out whats wrong before that account comes back up for renewal.

i have the same issues. tried for some days now, trying to buy anything from the store as booster packs.
have a visa card.
and when i try to buy new slots for my toons ingame it says that i dont have any card registred. whats that all about?

hope you solve this soon.

btw, can you please put all the booster packs into one big so i can buy em all.

having the same problems as everyone else. Tried using Visa, Paypal, even had a friend try, none of them work

Wow, I can't buy it for either of my accounts.

I opened a support ticket and they asked all sorts of questions about when I originally activated the account...which was over 5 years ago.

I never had to answer anything like this when I bought every other booster pack.

I don't know if this is some anti-hacker security thing or not, but just a brief glance at my purchase history would show I used the same card for all the booster packs.

I was reluctant to buy this pack to begin with but now with all this BS, I'm starting to change my mind.

Yeah, I'm having the same reservations. It's like, "It's just an item pack, it's not worth this much trouble."

I've had a support question up for a couple days now and not even gotten a reply

NCsoft is having issues dont freak out and post more DOOM post just say i tried to buy X. i think every one is having this issue from CoX im not shure but maybe some one could check if its other games but anyway every thing is alright they said there working on it (and we hope they are).

So just say what you tried to buy what type of payment and NO NOT THE NUMBER OF YOUR CARD (so i also dont break the rules) just what it is like vise mastercard ect. or paypal maybe how many times and how long you have been trying but pls make it orderly they get enough tells im shure saying DOOM!!!!! a day so please dont make this thread like that.

EDIT: after looking again i noticed not many have done this sorry but for any future posters pls dont scream DOOMMM!!!

Update... after many days of not being able to make an add-on pack purchase with the card that I have been paying my subscription with for many years, I decided to try a card from a different bank, and it worked! The problem still may be on NCSoft's side, but at least this was a workaround for me.
