So the PI mission changes...
I think the new missions are awesome, and you did a great job on them - but I also think they're still too similar to the old ones to be separate events - plus there are those whole ""So, Statesman. How does it feel to be a prisoner? Mine is an evil laugh" goatee antics going on in the old ones which really don't fit with the new deeper and more complex Praetorian content GR has given us.

New Maria Jenkins:
You and Statesman team up to head off a Praetorian invasion. Eventually Statesman is kidnapped, and you track down clues leading you to uncovering and stopping a vital part of the invasion plan. You then rescue Statesman from the ONE place on Praetoria that is proven strong enough to hold him (that same cave). |
"Your princess is in another castle." Exactly

Shadowhunter should no longer be required for Dimensional Warder. I believe we made that true when the new arcs were made.
As for them being "the same stories", I have to beg to differ (MASSIVE SPOILERS AHEAD): Old Tina Macintyre: Unknown dimension, first contact, who are these people, in-fighting between Anti-Matter and Neuron. New Tina Macintyre: Known dimension. Anti-Matter and Neuron still in-fight, but the reason behind it is because of the events of Old TM story line (AM is no longer a Praetor, Neu replaced him). Fast-time dimension serves more of a story purpose than previously. Old Maria Jenkins: Statesman Missing (has been for some time). She's the only one tracking him down. Mission after mission of "your princess is in another castle". New Maria Jenkins: You and Statesman team up to head off a Praetorian invasion. Eventually Statesman is kidnapped, and you track down clues leading you to uncovering and stopping a vital part of the invasion plan. You then rescue Statesman from the ONE place on Praetoria that is proven strong enough to hold him (that same cave). I also took amazing pains to make sure as MUCH of the dialog and text was changed and updated as I could. I would argue against "quite a bit of the text is almost identical." Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy the new missions. I had a lot of fun working with the guys who did the storylines for Praetoria to make sure my stuff was lining up with theirs. I wanted new players to get much the same "experience" as the old players did with the old arcs, but I didn't want to say the old ones never happened, since a lot of you guys did them and it's part of your personal story! So you can do both and while there is some "samey"-ness involved in the structure, I tried to present stories that built upon the previous ones, yet stood on their own for players who this will be the only experience of them. |

I heard that you'll get updated models, but that's all - so if you're in Mother Mayhem's old asylum, you'll still get the old text and minions, but she'll be the new model.

The arcs/contacts are still a bit of a mess Live at the moment, or at least as of yesterday.
-Maria is still giving out the OLD Marauder's Cell mission with old dialogue, old 'street punk' enemy group, the NEW Marauder model with OLD dialogue still referring to Cole as Tyrant.
-Siege's one-off mission can't be working as intended. He looks like the old Siege, but his bio says he gave up that body long ago. He's using Warwalker attacks, and concequently is unbeatable for a lot of people because as an EB his fast recharging self-heal goes off at 10% HP and he heals to 50%. Take him down to 10% again and he repeats ad infinitum.
And some other stuff I've been /bugging since Beta.
Also, the new arcs can't decide if they are trying to be sequels to, or retcons of, the old arcs. You can't have it both ways. You say:
Known dimension. Anti-Matter and Neuron still in-fight, but the reason behind it is because of the events of Old TM story line |
The new arcs could work as retcons to the old arcs with some dialogue adjutsments. They don't work well as new stories or sequels because they are way too close to the old stories.

What arch villains do I need to defeat for the Dimensional Warder badge?
See this site: City Info Terminal's Dimensional Warder badge details Only 13 of the 16 Praetorians are needed. They are: Anti-Matter, Chimera, Nightstar, Siege, Bobcat, Neuron, Battle Maiden, Black Swan, Malaise, Infernal, Diabolique, Dominatrix, & Marauder. |
Edit:
And now I have to find my working file for the Dimensional Warder checklist. Still annoyed to need one thanks to no clues as to which EB/AVs have or have not been defeated. Maybe now that both heroes & villains can have the same amount of total badges, getting a defeat badge for each EB/AV could happen.

Yeah, Caves pretty much hold everything in this game back....including statesman
I enjoyed the revamped arcs. I loved teaming up with Statesman and other iconic heroes to take on the Praetorians. It made the arcs feel much more epic in scope. When you have Statesman telling you to "take the lead," you know you've reached the big leagues.

Although, repeating your evil plans is what all the best villains do - just look at Darth Sidious - the heroes destroyed his first gigantic battle station, so he just goes and builds and even bigger one with an even bigger exhaust port

"It's mooning us!"
Dr. Todt's theme.
i make stuff...
What sort of impact does all of this have on players who were mid-arc when the changes were made? Are the existing clues updated? Do they remain the same and get mixed in with new clues until the arc is completed and the summary is only the new stuff? Is Chimera the father of Nightstar's cyborg baby? Will Dominatrix leave the convent? Who is that mysterious guy with the eye-patch who looks exactly like Neuron, and what is he plotting?

Arc #41077 - The Men of State
Arc #48845 - Operation: Dirty Snowball
The old ones are still available from Ouroboros, and while Positron has said they're still canon, it's kind ahard to find a way to make that be true

Black Swan slumped into an amusingly obscene position after defeating her the other day but I doubt that's what you're looking for.
I hope not, anyway |

You heard some other heroes asking around for people to help with a task Statesman assigned to them. You followed the heroes to Independence Port, only to find Statesman standing there, unharmed! Mystery solved!

Ran Tina's arc tonight. It was a lot of fun, especially for some members of the team that don't have GR yet and hadn't seen those maps or enemies. Very glad you updated these! For all of their problems, the old Tina and Maria arcs have always been popular -- lots of AVs to fight.
Love the new looks for those AVs too!
Antimatter's Orbital Space Platform needs a window to the stars...
my lil RWZ Challenge vid
Shivans invading Atlas Park is also canon. So is Manticore hooking up with Recluse, and Marchand remaining president for 70 years. When in Ouroboros, just assume everything is wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey.
You can still post the screenshot CLUE! You heard some other heroes asking around for people to help with a task Statesman assigned to them. You followed the heroes to Independence Port, only to find Statesman standing there, unharmed! Mystery solved! |

"Look, Maria, she was a great gal back in the day and all. But let's face it, the years have not been kind to her. I'm the greatest superhero in the world, y'know, and I have a certain image to uphold. I look like I'm perpetually 29 and she looks like my grandma.
"So, look, here's what I need you to do. Don't let on that I'm over here in Independence Port. Just pop through a few portals and tell her that you're looking for me. Play it out for as long as you can. Then when she finally sees me on the news or something, just tell her that you rescued me but I'm too busy to come and see her.
"C'mon, do it for me and we'll be pals."
And that's how I became Statesman's Pal.

"I've been watching you LadyLiberty."
"I want to go out with you" ("to place X to kill Y things" but still!)
and a few others I can't recall offhand. Maybe I'm paranoid... maybe it was intentional, to make fun of Jack, I dunno.

Allied to all sides so that no matter what, I'll come out on top!
Oh, and Crimson demands you play this arc-> Twisted Knives (MA Arc #397769)
You can play the arc to resuce Statesman without having to go to IP - so the worst one is still Doc Delilah - the mission to rescue her almost always takes you right past the place where she's standing
