I think you if you are still playing CO, by definition you are a die hard loyalist and probably love the game.
CoH isn't perfect by no means, but you don't have to be a die hard loyalist to truly appreciate it. Plus everyone has their 2 inf, even if they have an axe to grind.
If you want to think optimistically, negativity on the forums is a good thing. It means people care, and love the game enough to want to see it improved. If they didn't care, they would just simply be gone.

Guess there's truth in that.
Sometimes I wish there would be less negativity here. Could scare newbies away as they could think the this game is bad.
But then the WoW boards are a nightmare and it doesn't seem to scare away anyone.
You can even find Doom posts on there that say that WoW will not survive till 2011! 
Union has been red several times too.. I was in a que even!!! Defiant is in the yellow.

I wouldn't worry too much, I think the people who come to the forum are intelligent enough to know better. Or so I hope!

Past week or so, Server maintainace was made, but it did not strengthen the servers, but to only weaken it, so that when GR came around, people thought the servers were gluttonous in people, but, infact were not.
Resistance is Futile, but the Truth Speaks Out.
(Assumtion: Server were reduced prier to marketing reasons, tried to gain an influx of players, failed to meet quota but remain opimistic that they'd stay till a fix was pre-emptive. thus will be the downfall of CoX, thus = DOOOM)

It's been said before, but bears repeating. THere is a difference between a server that is full of people, and a game full of subscribers. NCSoft has shown unequivically that they are more than willing to cull dead weight as they see it, (R.I.P. Auto Assault) and if Co* did not have enough sunscribers, they would have taken action by now.
We see it all the time in the forums. People that are sunscribed but do not log in. Some of those people are not forum goers, so they still may be subscribed but not interacting here. In addition, GR was soft launched Monday. The servers were hitting yellow and red then. Those people that preordered their stuff from Amazon, or other game stores, did not have their game until Tuesday. The servers were busy because the current subscribers found out about the soft launch, and logged in.
Could the game use more subscribers? Yes.

So yes, watch for newbies and be nice, and for Gawds sake stop ignoring the help channel. I asked two questions yesterday, and one got answered 45 minutes later, after I had already figured it out. As a vet, I have to say that is friggin ridiculous.

On the evening of the launch, 7 of the servers were 3 red dots. Well...actually Freedom, Virtue, Justice, and Infinity were pink. Was nice to see! I've been running into MANY new players the last couple of days.

Now they need to feed the beast. New boosters, zones, costumes, etc. As long as there is a steady stream of new stuff and a full-court-press of advertising, I think we could see numbers like this all the time.

Which really surprises me, considering that CO is hardly more then an empty shell of a game that still suffers from Bugs that where present during Beta. A pity really, as there are some nice ideas in CO.
Now CO is a game where I would expect loads of Doom posts.
