It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.
... wow.
Very, very happy with this change of plan. Kudos to all those responsible!
sorry i dont know if i can ask a q,
id like to know if there will be a price limit placed on items in the market?
Not keen on the idea but ... going to happen.*
I have to say I don't really see someone who would use Wal Mart, happily buying stolen goods in a car park (which is the equivalent of this merger).
But it's a game so whatever. I never thought redside was expensive because I play there more.
Can only presume this was more due to technical issues more than anything else. It's a shame they gave everyone so much notice though because the price gougers are going to have a field day.

Please add to the FAQ:
If a bid has been filled, what will happen?
My guess: the item bought will go into "storage" mode.
Alternative possibility: the bid will be canceled and the inf will return to the bidder, the item returning to "storage" mode on the seller?
If an item up for sale was sold, what will happen?
My guess: the inf received for the sale will go into "storage" mode
Alternative possibility: the sale will be canceled and the item will go into storage mode
If an item up for sale was not sold, what will happen?
My guess: the item will go into storage mode along with the listing price
Alternative possibility: the item will go into storage mode but the listing price will be gone for good(you'll have to pay it again to relist)
Another alternative possibility: the item will go into a special storage mode where relisting it for the same price will be free, but you can't get the listing price refunded.
Edit: for you price limit proponents... please consult a basic economics text if you have the time. If not, please take my word for it that price limit will not help make anything cheaper. The only thing that will make things cheaper is one of the following
Either reduce the influx of INF - reducing INF rewards for farming, etc - or make it harder (probably not going to happen) OR increase the supply of items, either directly (place some for sale for whatever price they like on the market via a SQL script or the like) or indirectly (if something is deemed too expensive by devs, raise its drop rate, or make it cost less in merits, which would result in it also costing less in INF)

If you're asking if say Alchemical Silver can't be sold for more that 1,000 then you will only be pushing items off the market to be sold P2P.
No discussion of "Information"?

In all fairness, they should be returned. In terms of practicality, it is a simple math script based on the listed price. This shouldn't be too much to ask.
Overall, though, I think I like this change to the markets.
We knew you folks would be curious about how the market merge will work, so we’ve done our best to answer some of what we think will be the most commonly asked questions. As we read more feedback, we will add to this FAQ as needed.
Q: When will the market merge occur?
A: The markets will be merged with the launch of Going Rogue.
Q: So what will happen to my inf when my characters switch alignments? Previously were heard about some sort of escrow system, will that still happen?
A: No. Influence/Infamy/Information, Salvage, Enhancements, and Recipes will not be escrowed. Your character will retain all their possessions and inf when they transfer sides.
Q: You said that there are some restrictions that apply to what items we can mail to our other characters, what are they?
A: The restrictions on mail will be as follows:
Q: What will happen when the markets merge? How will current bids be resolved? Will all my items stored in the AH disappear?
A: All bids will be returned back to the “storage” state. For example, if you placed a 1000 Inf bid on Boresight, and that bid has not been filled, the 1000 inf bid will be cancelled, and will be returned in a “storage” state for your character to “claim”.
Everything currently on the market -- both items for sale and bids – will be cancelled and held in storage. In the case of bids, a message will display in a BIG RED FONT telling you that the bid was cancelled due to market merger.
Q: Are the currencies being renamed, or will they still be called “infamy” and “influence”?
A: We will not be renaming influence or infamy. On your character ID cards, we will be changing the appearance of Influence, Infamy and Information to “INF”.
Q: What will happen to the bid histories?
A: Wentworth and Black Market bid histories will be wiped, and will start with a clean slate.
