How many languages . . . .

Can everybody in here speak? Just a bit curious as to the variety of different languages that are in the game really

Mine are obviously english both speaking and writing.
Welsh i can speak ALMOST perfectly now but still majorly struggling writing it and happy to admit it [stupid mutations!]
French and italian and im currently trying to learn.

I am a horrible monoglot.

I have very little aptitude for languages, much to my eternal sorrow.

I've learned bits n pieces of languages over the years but never stuck it out long enough to be able to hold an intelligent conversation in one. The following is the list of languages I can utilize to 1. find out where the bathroom is and 2. say hi, goodbye, sorry, and thank you in.

(in order of speaking ability from decentish to terrible):
Korean
Spanish
Japanese
Latin (2 yrs of lol high school)
Swahili

I just tell people I can only speak English really. The other languages only come out when i'm in the respective country and need to find the ladies room. lol

In order of proficiency:

Portuguese (native tongue)
English
French
Spanish

and then I know a smattering of words/expressions in Italian, German and Latin.

English.
Some German and Latin.
I should know a lot more German than I do but I was drunk at the time.

I know... I don't belong in here, but I miss Germany.

Does sign language count?

I've done 3 years of French, 5 years of Spanish, 2 years of German, 2 years of Italian and 1 year of Urdu. My head is a mess when it comes to languages that I don't even try. I can go on any euro server and pretty much have people speaking english to me anyway.

My advice, get into one at a time. Read actual books and magazines in other languages (forcefeed yourself). Doing 2 or 3 at once is a nightmare.

I had gotten somewhat fluent in Japanese at a conversational level, but it's been so long since I used it that I've forgotten most of it.

And the French I learned at school is even further back...

I didn't have to, god was an English man.

English.. but over the years i've picked up a few words or sentences in other languages, mostly "Hello, how are you?" and a few other useful phrases. Although i can just about hold a very limited conversation in French.

and I can understand some German, though I don't speak it.

English, although I can just about follow Dutch and Russian conversations even though I'm not able to speak them.

English is my native tongue but I can pass in French and at least can say 'Hello' 'Goodbye' 'Thank you' and the favourite English word 'Sorry' in Arabic and Greek. Although I do like to find out what the native version of 'Cheers' is in every country I visit.

We are forced to learn english and swedish at school. So I can speak littlebit english and can say a few words in swedish.

French, enough to get by if I go to France so I won't starve and can ask basic questions

New Zealand English as a native language
Dutch learnt 13 years when living there. Still able to hold a conversation if the person I am talking too knows I'm not very good.

enough to get around in the other 3, but not anywhere close to fluent. I did play in some french speaking groups on Freedom in the early days, but really struggled to talk, even if I understood most of what was said.

I know smatterings of Italian and Japanese but not enough to have a decent conversation with someone who's fluent.

A little bit of Esparanto too, and 'hello' in a few languages.

Swedish, English, German. Some phrases in Japanese (mostly concering food and ordering food). Spanish (same as Japanese).
