Yeah, me too. I'm not a big alter (though I have more alts here than any other game), so it gets to be a drag after a while not to be able to do anything for my characters. It's also a bit frustrating that not all characters can get as much out of IOs as others can. I'm hoping that the Incarnate system equalizes power levels a bit.

Both of these weigh very heavily in my mind. The character I'd want to utilize the Incarnate system on is my WP/Fire Tanker. What worries me a bit is going through it with him, and screwing up. As with all systems, it'll take time to explore and find out the nuances of the system. Looking back at my first characters, first IO builds, etc... yeah...

I don't know if there will be any choices to be had (I'm hoping there are), and if so, will they be reversable if I do pick poorly?

Likely Decorum (Inv/EM), the first hero I made in the game...sort of (I "recreated" him on Victory after starting on Virtue, where he's still at level 22, long before transfers were allowed).

Dec out.

Same here. I hate raids, plain and simple. They are retarded design and a lazy designer's last resort.

I will also avoid the Incarnate system if it puts a character on the hated story-rail. CoH should be a sandbox, where everything story-based about our characters is *our* choice. Game mechanics are one thing, pigeonholing us into creative straitjackets is infuriating. It's one of the primary reasons I dislike CoV so much.

Sunwind of course, my Fiery Melee/Willpower/Fire Scrapper. She is the only one I play these days.

As for others, hard to say at this point. That will depend on what is needed to do, how long it takes, and most importantly, what the benefits are. Since I rarely play alts, I will probably not take them to Incarnate levels though. Maybe Blitzwolf, my Huntsman/Bane.

Though for Sunwind I will jump through all hoops the Devs will put into this system regardsless how they are set up, I second previous posters in that I hope it won't be a heavy forced teaming thing.

One of the main reason I am still here is the openess in the reward/content systems. You can raid for Hamidon-Enhancer, or buy them, you can raid the mothership for Vanguard merits, or you can get them yourself by defeating Rikti. You can run TF all day in big teams for merits, or you can get them yourself by doing story arcs or buy the stuff directly. Sure, the team based rewards are usually (much) better/faster, you do however still have the option to approach it as you like.

As I love to solo myself most of the time, but enjoy running a TF or a raid from time to time it works out perfectly for me as it is now. So hopefully the Devs wil follow previous approaches on how rewards (in this case the Incarnate system) are attainable, as in there are always options, solo, teamed, raid.

I know I am not alone with my opinion here.

Well, I'll ned to see whatsort of powers and abilities you can get - like I have several purple sets in storage because I prefer the normal IO set bonuses I have - so new powers aren't always the best powers

Amerikatt already has powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal feloids, power granted by The Great (Cat) Mother, to whom she is the loyalest of servants.

It's only natural that Amerikatt should explore the Greater Mysteries which shall allow her to become an even more efficient servant, not only for The Great Mother, but to the furred and non-furred beings whom the "Imp of Impervium" is sworn to protect!

For me, it has to be Tsumiju Zero, followed by his temporal counterparts.

Zero however, will always get updated first for things like this

My main hero and main villan...

Nightseye
Who already was planned as an incarnate of the goddess Bast...

Elizabeth Bathory
Who is a very evil vampiric witch that will draw powers from anything she can.

- The Italian Job: The Godfather Returns #1151
Beginner - Encounter a renewed age for the Mook and the Family when Emile Marcone escapes from the Zig!
- Along Came a... Bug!? #528482
Average - A new race of aliens arrives on Earth. And Vanguard has you investigate them!
- The Court of the Blood Countess: The Rise of the Blood Countess #3805
Advanced - Go back in time and witness the birth of a vampire. Follow her to key moments in her life in order to stop her! A story of intrigue, drama and horror! Blood & Violence... not recommend to solo!

I have the same disclaimer of "nobody if it's really tedious hardcore raid type content", but that aside:

For sentimental reasons it'll probably be my first character, Biowraith - Dark/Dark/Dark Defender. Unless it turns out the population size on Victory at the times I play makes that a drag, in which case it'll be my favourite character, Pinchy - Crab Spider.

Since I don't know what an incarnate is, or what I'll have to do to become one, I'll wait until there is more information to use in making a choice.

But I'm with others. Raiding? Bleh.

Whatever the task is that is set before him, My main character Mind Lasher will be the first to take the plunge for me. His AT is in my sig.

I am sure he'll be followed by his nemesis Spirit Lasher in that also no matter if it is annoying to do or not.

Goodbye. Not to the game, but the players. Goodbye. Everyone, remember to have fun. That's all I can say.

Apparently the person that necro'd this thread didn't realize the Incarnate stuff has been removed from GR.

Oddly, story wise, my self-dubbed "Japan Trio"

Takezo, my katana/SR scrapper would be the one I want to get first, ironically, storywise, he can't become an Incarnate because he's the reincarnation of basically a god/demon/angel/fey killing psycho. But in theory, this also means his "Incarnating" would basically be him learning to make full use of that without the desire to kill most of his friends, acquaintances, contacts, etc. cause you know, in the City of Universe, trying to avoid planar outsiders it like trying to avoid air.

Then Kaede, my emp/energy defender, would be the incarnate of... Herself? Well, her virtue-self managed to attain lesser divinity in her life and gained inter-shard awareness, soo... Yeah. (She'll feel really weird about the ego-centrism too)
Also, given how useful she ends up being on a team compared to even my scrapper, she's likely to be my first incarnate despite my wishes.

Likely my last to incarnate will be my archery/energy blaster: Sakura (my love letter and deconstruction of magical girls), and depending on how powerful it leaves a character, I plan to totally play it as her becoming an Exalted.

You guys do know that you don't "go incarnate" you just unlock incarnate based merits by running TF's that are used to purchase a global bonus which is called Incarnates. A 33% Global Recharge Bonus is an Incarnate.

There is no epic storyline or new powers or new levels you just grind new incarnate based merits to unlock a couple global bonuses.

Without a doubt, Blood Speaker, Necro/Dark/SM Mastermind. First character, first 50... and (concept-wise) the avatar of cosmic entropy and destruction.

Where to find me after the end:
The Secret World - Arcadia - Shinzo
Rift - Faeblight - Bloodspeaker
LotRO - Gladden - Aranelion
STO - Holodeck - @Captain_Thiraas

Obviously, I don't care about NCSoft's forum rules, now.

1) That remains to be seen; the devs are tweaking the incarnate system for full release with I-19, instead of releasing the first part with GR. Things might change.
2) Still works for me.

In that case, it'd be my main TF toon. Charlie Chitin, an Earth/Emp Controller.

If it's possible to grind incarnate points solo (non-tf), I will use my Mace/Shield Brute.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Anyway, Bitt Player and Rosa Kreuz are my only Level 50 characters, so I guess they'll be my first two Incarnates.

As a storyline fan, my first reaction to reading that was, "This is kind of sad." But I trust the devs; so far they haven't let me down, so I'm going to go ahead and keep looking forward to this. I don't have any 50s yet, but I have a 45.

From a storyline perspective, I'm getting the impression this will allow characters to become demigod-like (or actual demigods/gods). It sounds like the magic-origin version of "ascending to singularity" in hard science fiction. So, RP-wise, maybe I'll be able to apply this to a couple of technology origins too.
