COMBINED

Powers

General

  • Corrected an error in Critter powers which could prevent them from being shut down in appropriate circumstances. Good examples are Reichsman keeping his max Resistance despite being shot with the Dimensional Grounding Ray, Green Mito's in the Lady Grey Task Force keeping their Healing Aura despite being held, and some critters retaining Hide when damaged.

Powers Customization
  • Characters that had customized powers in Issue16 will no longer lose customization the first time they log in to Issue 17.

Auction House
  • If the MAKE OFFER and POST are disabled due to too much activity, you will no longer be spammed with a huge number of announcements telling you about it.
  • If the MAKE OFFER and POST are disabled due to too much activity, the buttons will become active again after a short time as they are supposed to, instead of remaining greyed out until the player logs out and logs back in again.

City Zones
  • Midnighter Club – Fixed a bug that sometimes caused characters to get stuck in the ground when moving between the Midnighter Club and Cimerora.

Global Email
  • Messages with "<". "%", and "&" in the subject line will no longer be garbled.

Gameplay
  • Fixed a few more rare random crash bugs.

CITY OF HEROES
  • None

CITY OF VILLAINS
  • None

Shame the most common one with the tailors STILL not fixed and crashes everytime despite being told it was been worked on the day after i17 release...

Why fix the rare ones first and not the major ones?? It makes no sense.

I've never experienced a crash with the tailor in Issue 17, so apparently it isn't as major as you think.

Meh nothing on Intel shader and general gfx fix.

That's why I haven't been playing the game in the little time I have.

Because they haven't figured out what exactly is wrong thus needing to be changed/fixed with the crash? For all we know, someone added a piece of salvage (Say, Cheesecake) forgot to close some field on it properly, and THAT is what's causing the crash.

Fixing code is a lot like fixing a leak in a foam filled hot tub - just because you can see where the water is leaving your hot tub cabinet doesn't mean the leak isn't on the other side of the tub.

I'm crashing everytime I try to select a server. This didn't happen before I17.

I thought that was the last patch that has already gone live? It was supposed to re-enable Intel options.

Still here, even after all this time!

It fixed it for some, but not all.

Kioshi is one of the unfortunate ones that it didn't fix things for.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Maybe because they are still working on that one but it isn't that easy to fix? Should they hold back all the other fixes they do in the meantime, so they can release this one first?

Or ... or they're having some sadistic sense of fun letting the tailor crash in the game on purpose or they're just trying to spite you specificly. Pick your favourite.

How does this affect characters that have logged in since I17 and have lost all power customization that was in place before I17? All of the characters I've tested (copied to Test to check) thus far do NOT have their power customization restored to what it was before I17 with this patch. They have all logged in since I17 because of the new content/badges/anniversary event.

Well actually including the ones I know from tech forums and the ones in game as well, theres 43 I know of now. Pretty sure theres gonna be more since I'm only one person, 39 of those people are ready to leave if it isnt fixed by time there sub runs out.

Im not trying to give ultimatums or anything, just stating facts. Its affecting a fair amount of players but not everyone uses the boards.

Well I believe those settings are gone. Likely overwrote the saved character data on the server so you have to start from scratch.

Then /that/ specific issue needs to be addressed somehow, preferably by saying "we know this happened, if you logged characters in when I17 went live your customized powers are gone and need to be recreated" if they /cannot/ be restored.

They're fixing what they can as they can. Nobody is deliberately ignoring anyone's specific issues. Have all of you with crashing problems or shader problems - or other issues that have not yet been addressed - contacted Tech Support?

I'm going to humor you with an answer: they have moving AND non-moving tails now.

Ava, I'm gonna just say that we need to either have the customization DBase rolled back to before I17, or have tokens issued to fix the fallout of this bug.

We already got tokens with the release of I17?

And most of all, they need to announce whatever policy they do decide on. I could go fix, uh, scores of characters manually now, using costume tokens, but that's a HUGE waste if they rollback. Someone said a rollback would lose all the NEW stuff people have done since release...and while that's true, that's got to be less than aaaaaaaaaaaaall the customizations done in I16 when it was brand new and so many established characters used the new system. But whatever they decide, I wish they'd make a clear public announcement, so we're out of the limbo Issue 17 threw us into and can proceed.

I doubt they would do a rollback. Costumes (and power customization) are part of your character's data. The only way to fix this without cut/pasting database entries (which, really, do you want to risk EVERYONES characters getting corrupted to save some time at the tailor?) from the live and saved databases would to be a full rollback of the servers - including XP, INF, etc.

Do people need things spelled out for them? They fixed it so no more characters that had custom power colors would lose them when they logged in. Wouldn't it reasonably follow that it's ok to go ahead and fix yours that were affected without being told so?

Surely you have enough tokens laying around to do that. You really don't want a rollback...seriously.
