Horrible delay lag

I am currently getting horrible lag in game when it comes to moving, and typing. There is about a 10-15 second delay from when I cease pressing 'w' to go forward to when I actually stop moving, and my chat box is so lagged behind when I type that I am finishing sentences, and starting new ones before the text even appears on my screen, let alone in the chat channel.

I know someone else on Protector is having this problem, is anyone else dealing with this too? And how to stop it?

Update: When moving, my computer starts beeping as it does when there's a keyboard buffer overflow. I probably don't have the exact technical term, but that's what's happening.

I'm also experiencing this issue but I do know not everybody is. I suspect its related to system drivers or even the base computer setup (as in, not up to snuff for ultramode).

However, turning down all the graphical settings has not resolved the delay issue. Before release of i17 (was on at the time of the announced maintenance update last night/early morning) I had no issues with gaming. Sadly however, that is not the case for me at the moment.

Also posted on a few threads, and yes this was reported in closed and open, some could fix it, for others we had no reply and the thread ended.

Same issue in Ultra Mode. At least while in Atlas or my base. Didn't try other zones.

FYI, the other older settings no longer look like they use to. Ultra Mode has affected everything across the board, it seems.

You're describing it a little differently, but this does sound like the horrible choppiness I noticed back on test and are now suffering on the live servers. I can't play the game right now ^_^ way to go devs!

Getting very similar results here. I know my machine is too old for the graphics so I've not even tried to use them. My problem here is 'sticky' WASD keys for movement. If I press any of them for more than 1-2 seconds, the character keeps moving in that direction for several seconds. In effect, the game has become unplayable. Any Useful suggestions?

The LAg even seems to affect things OUTSIDE the game on the PC. I have dual monitors and tried to open IE to check the forums on the PC having the issue. There was a noticable lag when opening IE and changing sites. I closed down CoH and the computer began running smoothly again.

2 days ago I could run on the highest settings "non-ultra" mode. I did not run the Test Server on this PC. When logging in this afternoon I was asked if I wanted to turn on Ultra Mode. I did say Yes.

The game was laggy so I truned off Ultra Mode - No affect.
I lowered all the settings to minimal - No affect
Updated ATI Radeon HD2600 PRO AGP card Driver - no affect

What ever is going on with the Game seems to be affecting my entire PC AS SOON AS I get to the login screen. That's when I notice the entry of text from the Keyboard is slowed and delayed.

Please let us know what we can do to address this as soon as possible.

That fix actually worked for my ATI card. I'm back in business again.

Nvidia 9600 GT here -- same problem.

Mod08, do you know of any Nvidia fixes?

Same problem here. I've also got an Intel Chipset card, not an Nvidia. I submitted a tech support question, so cross your fingers.

I got a reply to, it contained the following line:

"I am escalating your petition to a Senior Customer Support Representative to further assist you. Please be aware, however, that there may be a delay in reviewing the issue, based on ticket volume at the time your ticket was submitted."

Which has me more than worried to be honest, especially if this is a large tech issue.

I have checked all my vid card drivers, unintalled and reinstalled, they all worked fine before i17, heck I was even all over the shard no problems on sunday, and have done 3 or 4 itfs alone in the last few days to let alone other TF's. I play 8 hours a day minimum at the moment. I know my computer worked fine pre i17, so something in i17 is the cause of the problem, not my system, or anyone else whose systems worked fine pre i17.

Anyway I'm going to stop there, working myself up a bit so stopping typing, and hoping that this is fixed soon.

Now i'm even more worried, I stated I had an nvidia 8600GTS in my email to them and got this this time:

No lag here just the controls dont feel the same kinda like im floating everywhere and I continues shortly after letting go of my movement keys.
