British Battler

Just 26, with over 250 alts accross 3 accounts at various levels and having built around 6 solo bases with most having the top tier command system in and max storage. I played way to much, as many did, had a blast and have some great memories.

Rift for me, did it last year on it's release and loved it, with Storm Legion coming out soon, especially with the CoH announcement, i decided to go whole hog into that. The dynamic content, rifts, raid rifts, level increase with new souls for each calling, coming player and guild housing system, huge new world with great open world events and a fairly nice community, along with some nice graphics and many other things, well, that sold it to me.

To me NC Soft has alreadt salted its own ground. I care not for apologists and GW2 fanbois, thats it. GW2 might have taken my fancy, but not now, the other NC Soft products in the pipeline might have to, but not now. WoW did in the past for TBC and WotLC for a bit, did some in Cata to...but fluffy pandas...no thanks.

So if any of you make it to Rift pop along to Blighweald or Argent on the EU servers, i am still an altaholic there, but only Guild and Raid on my Guardians on Blighweald, as I am doing my Defiants on Argent just to see the other side of the story...several times...as I usually do

Good effort. Things like this make me worry at times though. I wish people were more vocal about real injustices that go on in the world to.

The clock is ticking, signed the petition and hope CoH can be saved or rescued. Quite a lot of people would be willing to contribute to a kickstart to by the looks of it.

Well I was going to look at GW2, but now I am not and I think anything published by NCSoft and Perfect World to. That's just me, I am one of the lie to me once shame on you, lie to me twice shame on me type of people. My VIP actuslly ran out on the 31st, I bought in 3 month blocks then cancelled reccuring everytime, I was busy that friday and was going to sort it out on Saturday.

What I still dont get is the suddeness of it all, Nature had just come out, lots of things were on test and then this happens. Something smells like 2 week old fish here.

I am already playing Rift now, having had a long and 3 account career with CoH since '05. Tried WoW, GW, Aion, CO and EvE at times. My sub to CoH had been active over 7 years in total between my EU and US accounts to.

So with Rift:Storm Legion on the horizon and Trion Worlds fully commited to it, other mmo projects looking interesting...but ultimately going down, like TSW which looked great...but is failing already, GW2 looking overhyped and heading for the long goodnight (imho) and pandas with dumbed down skills not been my thing, I decided that the felxibility of Rift would be my thing.

So, after building 5 or 6 goreat solo bases accross many servers, 26 level 50s and over 250 alts, it's time to hang up my cape, crank up my Ascendants and step fully bacnk into talara for much fun and a world about to explode into action I guess.

Anyone got a heads up on this new piece of software the NC Soft installer wants to put on to monitor my gaming and pc.... just find it funny as I havent needed it before and we have the NC Soft loader now for that. What do they need it for?

Hello all, happy new year, hope you are well and awake to whats going on in the world at the moment.

Thats aside, having been a long time player of this nice game and have NA and EU accounts. Took some time off to play a couple of other mmos for a while as having 200+ alts and 25 50s accross those 2 accounts had kind of burnt me out on CoH.

Now I am returning and noted we had access to all servers, so wondered if they had in place a system for me to combine those 2 accounts into one, wouldn't half save me a lot of hassel and cash if they could.

I had approx 6 years played between them but would be happy just to go with the approx 4 years on my EU account as thats the one I played the longest, would just be nice to have them all on the same account now that we have all server access.

The system realises that Statesman was using pre ED and pre Purple Nerf powers and the Well of Furies compensates. This leads him to realsing his powersets are not that good after all. Due to all the unslotting he forgets what power she has and all his ipowers get reset, he can't be bothered to gring out all the grindy iTrials like the others so quits in a fit of rage lying abolut balance as he goes.

Certain ones, like the hamidon ones, are just cop outs imo for the davs to make broken content, other ones, like the res ones are great in allowing you to play without a healer. They are one of the great enablers in CoH. It enables you to do things you do with a "Heroic" angle, drawing on inner reserves to do things mere mortals cannot.

To sum up, Heroic Inspiration in times of need, is all you need to succed at times you might otherwise fail, so to me, even if on some alts I hardly ever need them, they are a Power all heroes and villains have. Thats how I see it, as a Super Power.

Hello, My name used to be British Battler on the NA o Battler on the EU, till I found out somehow in this Freedom change somehow my globals got reset!!!!

Anyway, I am/was a TOTAL altaholic. approx 250 alts accross 2 Accounts with 25 at 50, and about 10 of them fully decked out in IO's ( Not of the purple variety though, just a few of them). I enjoyed trying out alts of many differant types. Built up 4 or 5 Supergroup bases with one or 2 friends to be pretty good for solo bases.

The replayability used to be the main point of the game to me, so many combos, so little time. The Incarnate stuff kind of killed this game for me, a lot, the grinding grind of grindness of the same grinding iTrials put me off totally, led me to leave for a heck of a long time, to go out, seek new mmos and new horizons. I have seen a lot more now and enjoyed every one of them, but still I like CoH, just not the flipping grindy grindness of the iTrials. Havent gone past the Alpha slot on alts now, the boredom of that content just doesnt appeal to me, its not even progression raiding and learning, its the same flipping thing you fail till you fail enough times to get enough fail points to pass....grr, nice and heroic that one. I might choose ONE alt and go for it, but dont like what I am reading about all the sudden death, oh just ignore that defence, you're dead, mechanics they employ!!

Anyway, I digress, total unadulterated altaholic of the first order

Just beacause it was the original way they were going to impliment it doesnt make it the right one. Generally having people allowed to post on fan based sections like the one the OP was talking about would be a good idsea. After all if they are posting cossies it is probably a good indication they like the game to start with.

I can see why in game they limit things to get you to sub more, but having all apart from 4 sections of the forum off limits, especially the fan based type ones, seems totally stupid, just like the chat limitations. I can see why many think its bad, but if they implimented a max post count per day for nin subscribers on other sections then at least this would help newer players ask questions in the right sections. Have it tied to how long their account has been active on the forums or if they have that type of character where they ask on specific sub section forums.

Defending something just because it was going to be a total ban and instead is only a partial ban is not a good argument to start with and totally anti freedom.

I laugh when people refer to anything new as "FotM" Builds when something new comes out.

Me, personally, I think that the "It's Shiney and new I want to try it" Brigade fits more really.

Haven't splashed out yet myself, still got so many project on the go at the moment trying to get what I want ready for GR yet to be honest. But now I have 100% ready to go SG/VGs on Virtue (mainly solo) and enough prestige to kit out relevant Teleporter rooms should we be able to use TP beacons to the other side with Grey characters, and more interested in the Incarnate area than new powersets at the moment. That and wanting to finish off 4 or 5 alts I have in the 40s before GR hits to on a few servers, well I'm kinda busy.

I still play on both sets of Servers. I started on the EU then 27mths ago set up an NA acct to. My EU acct has lapsed for 9 mths in total, but is active at the moment, due to cashflow, but I still enjoy playing both sides of the pond.

What I want to know is if they do merge the server lists....can I merge both of my accounts hehe

Nice one, now if Paragon Studios sends him Heroes and a yrs sub to the game that would give them some good PR hehe, well thats whay my salesman/marketing dept head would do.

Other than that its nice to see a story like that once in a while, news is generally so depressing these days.

I have just made a bot/pain mm and its only around lvl 13, I'm away from 5th-14th may, but can play when I get back
