Regen with a sense of humor or a paranoia about not getting teams.
Or a bug caused it to carry over from a different character.

One thing I never understand is why some players but their level and AT in their search comment, when you can see that already.

Sets is fine but its putting 'Blaster' etc when you can see that it is a Blaster. It just baffles me.

Awesome people don't hate PUGs.

Q: How do you wreck an Abrams?

A: You crash into another one.

I read that at first as being [awesome] - [awesome]

Well there are people out there who will invite you to a team because you're a higher level. Then they'll automatically promote you to leader status because your missions have better xp. Also, they expect you to find more people to fill the team as other members commonly drop after a few missions, since you're the leader now.

Sorry, but I didn't sign up for all of that. If I wanted to start my own team, I would've done so already.

Perhaps this scenario doesn't happen to you, but it does to me way more often than I'd like it to. Thus, I don't really have much heartburn about putting that tag in my search note.

Huh, search comments. I haven't made any in so long (or searched for a team) that I'd totally forgotten about them. Wonder what my characters' search comments are?

But I showed them, and nobody's laughing at me now!

Mine are usually the standard "set/set. No blind invites."

Except on Champ, with countless blind SG invites I placed "Blind SG inviters will be placed on ignore".

Then there is redside "Blind inviters will be hunted down and tortures so long they'll think it's a career."

As for setting flags, mine usually stays at the default because I'm usually not actively looking for a team, that does not mean I will not join one.

For the most part I don't bother with the search comment box, or if I put anything in, it's "no blind invites" (or "blind invites blindly declined", which is what it is on my thugs/traps mm).

A few of the exceptions:

  • Energy/Storm Corruptor (named Clooless Noobie) has "what does this box do?"
  • Elec/Elec/Mu Brute: "like a bugzapper, only cuter!"
  • Ice/Kin Corruptor: "ADD - you have been warned"
Oddly enough, I rarely ever get blind invites on the first character - it's happened once since I've had her. The last one has since been replaced by simply putting "Poor Impulse Control" as the badge title - on most of my characters, come to think of it - and letting people figure it out for themselves.

I'm getting the distinct impression that you either don't know what "bridge" means or you haven't logged in to the game in several months.

Back before we could block invites, I set my message to "Working on Debt Badges" on several characters. It went a long way toward me being left alone when I wanted it. I'm sure a couple characters still have it.

My personal favorite is "I only team with intelligent and courteous people." My invites went from "lft?" to "lvl 40 radio mish team, care to join us? we're smart! "

My energy types have a note "If knockback bothers you I will not make a good teammate."

Mind you, I think I use knockback tactically and effectively, but some folks get upset if they see a body flying no matter where it lands.

I had a character based on GLaDOS, with a note something along the lines of "Invite me and there will be cake". I did get a couple invites asking for cake. The cake, of course, was a lie.

Hey I teamed with that guy!

I stopped giving credence to /Search notes altogether, by the 8th time I saw "Level 24 [insert AT] LFT" on a Level 38 [insert AT].

I once had a tank that had this (not really) clever little saying in the search box.

"Will tank for food."

My Robots/Traps MM on Virtue has had "Cake or Death!" in her search note for the longest time now.

Every now and then, I'll get a /tell asking for cake, please.

Funniest search comment I've seen was the following:

There was a word for that, but it just slipped my mind.
