...add a third type of Salvage (Archaic) to the existing Salvage lists of Tech and Arcane salvage.
For some bizarre reason, when they were introducing Cimmeria.....Cimmeron.....Cimerora(?), I had this odd wonder what type of salvage would really fit drops from the Roman Era.
Worn Sandal, Broken Clay Pot, Chariot Wheel, Spear Point, Dagger Hilt?

So what are you glad that they haven't done?

("Re-hiring Jack Emmert" is already assumed.)

When Mayhem Missions were first introduced, they came with a bug that prevented the environmental objects from leveling up with you. At one point the Dev's were going to fix it, but found it was way more fun to tear through everything around you. As I tend to agree, I'm glad they left it as is.

There is a beautiful bug in the last mission of Captain Mako's arc dealing with the elimination of Ace McKnight. Our boy Ace is trying to leave the Isles on a boat, and has hired a band of mercenaries to protect his escape. Unfortunately, he apparently didn't do the research, because the mercenaries he hired were the Knives of Artemis. Who knows what words he exchanges with his hired bodyguards while you're out of earshot, but by the time you get to him they're already laying into him with caltrops and swords. After being jerked around by McKnight during Willy Wheeler's arc, it's easy to imagine the Knives' reaction to his smug snake routine.

Technically this is a faction error, but I hope that it is never ever fixed.

It wasn't a bug, it was an intentional change to resolve another issue. However people got really bothered dying to cars on their level 50 or taking precious minutes blasting a cardboard box on their level 50s. The final revision solved both the original issues, and the secondary ones.

Ahhh... but you get the satisfaction of beating his face in at the end of the Willy Wheeler arc. He's pleasantly not a very difficult elite boss either. He spends most of his time running away (or when you're a Dominator, trying to run away and failing miserably).

I'm glad NCSoft hasn't pulled funding from the game, despite the fact that it hasn't delivered subscriber numbers in the millions. I don't normally expect that kind of reasonable behavior from companies in the entertainment industry.

(Mind you, I think they will cut some of their support when Going Rogue doesn't triple the number of subscriptions, since this is what happened with the release of City of Villains, but that's a separate subject.)

By the way, I think the Archaic Salvage could be an idea for if they have more time travel zones or missions - like a Roman helmet, a medieval book and an old West six-shooter could all be called "archaic", as they're not modern things.

There already is a poop monster summoning power. What do you call Mr.Poops in the earth control set?

He's more of a "Mr. Glowing Hookworm Larvae Poops" as of power customization. Either that or "Mr. Incredibly Advanced Late Stage Crystaline Ulcer."

Amen to that. It makes sense that you'd eventually get to the point where you were nuking cars left and right.

I'm consistently dissapointed that we have a time travel zone, and yet no Time Travel based villian group, with things like Cowboys riding dinosaurs, Cybernetically enhanced Cavemen brutes, Cyborg Ninjas, and a Giant Monster thats a T-Rex turned into a mobile gun platform of death.

Back in I4, they decided to increase boss difficulty because somebody's granite block head could not permit the notion that it's fun to be able to solo your own missions. I'm glad the player base managed to jackhammer the right idea in after all.

I'm glad they didn't roll over on the whole AE thing. They said from the outset that it was expressly for the purpose of creating stories, not farming. Granted, they underestimated the lengths to which farmers would go in making everything about farming.

At that point, they had a rather difficult decision: Let yet another facet of the game be jerkhacked, or take some unpopular steps to get it back in line with its original goal. It really was a toss-up for a while in my opinion whether they would implement some half-hearted attempts to fix what was wrong, let the farmers ruin it and move on to something else, or take some kind of strong, decisive action to let people know, "We really mean it!"

I'm glad that they didn't choose one of the first two options. I'm also really happy to see Dr. Aeon's efforts to publicize and popularize the Mission Architect system, as I really think that when it comes to game mechanics, this is the one thing above all else that makes City of Heroes different from other MMORPGs, and that as time goes on an the system improves even more, it can turn into a key aspect of the game. But it all depended on people using it as it was meant and not hideously exploiting it as they were.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

Not really a faction error. McKnight is a Longbow agent who uses shady and questinable methods, and KoA are just hired swords who work for anyone (even the good guys) if the price is right.

That mission takes place in the docks of Sharkhead Island, so it's even more apropiate.

My friend refers to him as "Sir Finkelberg."

Draw whatever conclusions from that you like.

I'm glad they didn't...

... hire that assassin after some of my joke lists.

... create the Mime Defense Power Set for Tanks.

... set up that Well of the Furies Lemonade Stand for power-levelers in Atlas.

... make Banished Pantheon Shaman's anatomically correct.

... create "easy financing influence loans" to help you get that enhancement you just can't live without.

... make "horse riding" a travel power; those land-mines the horses leave are murder on super-speeders.

... finish making Sister Psyches' costume.

... take the Wii approach to the game, making you act out every punch, gun shot or super jump. As long as my character looks good in spandex, I don't feel I need to as well.

... get influenced by Final Fantasy. "In order to get your cape you need to harvest 20 kilos of cotton, get a cotton gin, collect dye of the appropriate color and get a weaving machine. Oh, and those are just the materials! You also need the History of Omega Team skill, the Cotton culling skill, the weaving skill and the dying skill. Oh, and you'd better get your Costume Choices path to the point where you uncover the Cape Icon... Good luck!"

... decide to go with an MA rating instead of Teen. Lord only knows what some of the AE missions would have looked like.

This was a direct consequence of the "video game end boss" mindset that Jack Emmert had about what was "fun" in a game -- he was locked into the idea that it was fun having end bosses that were always significantly more powerful than you, so that you had to make several attempts to defeat them, failing again and again, to learn how they acted and what their weaknesses were, and team up with other players to cover your own character's weaknesses in order to defeat them, and that only by playing this way did you get any real feeling of accomplishment, so this was how all the missions -- or at least, all the story arcs -- should end. This is equally reflected in his "Three minions = 1 hero" concept of balance.

Based on this attitude, he probably thinks that banging your head against a brick wall again and again trying to knock it down before you get the idea of going off and buying a sledgehammer to be the pinnacle of personal entertainment.

"But in our enthusiasm, we could not resist a radical overhaul of the system, in which all of its major weaknesses have been exposed, analyzed, and replaced with new weaknesses."
