they aren't showing up for me either, but you can see them in the 2009 Hero Con Wentworths thread:

Remember, shortly after PAX East, be ready for a surprise Chicago area meet and greet at an undisclosed location (likely an abandoned warehouse but might be a Chucky Cheese)

RSVP message sent, Hilton Boston Back Bay hotel reservations are confirmed, and the wife ("Clipp") and I will be there for the Meet & Greet!

Frantically looking forward to seeing our fellow ostentacious players, our freem-tastic devs, and the most auspicious Community Relations team ever (ok, Stan Lee's over-adjectivized writing caught up with me..)!

Edit: I play on any/all servers (mostly Freedom and Guardian), "Clipp" is a Champion server player most of the time.

I want to go! Anyone in Southern California want to carpool?

Boy, my son has sure lucked out! Travelling to Boston to meet up with friends from one of the many forums he is involved with only to find out that PAX East is sold out and now the Co* meet is restricted to those who are 21 and over (he's 19).

If he stands outside and waves at you all is that ok?

Yeah, we hate to sound like wet blankets here, but a DragonCon or other more-Southeasterly appearance would be nice. It's all West and Northeast. Almost all of those bad rumors about the the southern US are either incorrect, out of date, or vastly overemphasized, we promise.

Asking because I'll likely have to leave for the Saturday night concert in the middle of all the fun, sadly.
I'd also be interested in a response to this. I certainly want to attend, but I'm going to PAX with a friend who's still only 20. I'm sure he wouldn't mind me stopping in for a bit, but I wouldn't want to have to ditch him for too long. =/

You (and the person above me) make it sound as if you are going there for the prizes.
If so...why go in the first place?

I certainly hope you have to be present and I hope the timing of it is a big surprise.
It would suck big time for those of us who are going there to actually "Meet & Greet" to see a bunch of great stuff given away to people who couldn't stick around for more than ten minutes.
Its going to be a ton of fun!
Why worry about what you're going to get out of it.
I'm going to get a good time.
If I hear my name or number called it will be a bonus. But it's not going to effect my good time in the slightest.

I'm getting mixed signals here.

I'm of the attitude that if I win a door prize, great; if I don't, well, that's par for the course. And while I'm fine with however the Paragon folks decide to handle it, I wouldn't begrudge anyone winning a prize if they could only stop by for a short while because there was something else going on at the same time and they couldn't be two places at once.

Because I already know I'm going to have a fun time with great food and that I'll get a chance to buy great CoX merch. But since I probably won't be able to stay the whole time, I'm curious about the one point that's unclear.

Likewise. The prizes would just be a bonus. If I can't be around for them, so be it, and I wouldn't bother even getting a ticket to save the rest of you some hassle of looking for me/redrawing.

I didn't get an "Undeliverable" message, but I never heard back from them either. Not that I expected to.

No bounceback on my end. And I sent in my RSVP when they first announced the location.

No reply either...so far.

Got a reply yesterday - I assume that volume is slowing down any responses to us.

Looks like I am going to the event solo - looking forward to meeting you fine folks, having some fun and getting the scoop on GR!

I got my reply at 2:08 AM ET this morning, which was 11:08 PM PT last night. I would say that these were just a form e-mail reply, but mine was different from the one BlackSun17 got - for example, mine didn't mention the bar's dress code. Which makes me wonder if EMPulse was sending these out one at a time and semi-personalizing each of them? Late at night, on a weekend, to boot!

Thanks for posting the dress code, Blacksun.

To any Community Relations folks that might be reading this - do you know if it's OK for patrons to bring in backpacks? Like if someone was to head there right from the convention?

Ooo, good question. I expect I'll still be carrying my messenger bag, which is pretty danged bulky, too.

I wrote back to EMpulse, and this was her response:

I’m assuming it is fine – as it isn’t listed on their website as a no-no and Jillian’s has not mentioned anything to us about it. Plus, I am assuming that even though we will be providing bags for merchandise, some people will want to bring backpacks to put their loot in. So, I’m going to assume it’s okay!

As I was saying in the Contest thread, don't worry if your Photoshop'ing skills aren't up to par with some of our talented forumite artists. As long as it makes us giggle, we'll consider your entry!
