Where would YOU put an exploration badge?
I would put an exploration badge on a moving object - specifically the blimp in Atlas Park.
Paragon City Search And Rescue
The Mentor Project
Dead center, lowest point in the sewer network. Call it something like "The Pits" or "The Pit of Dispair" or some such. It will add a new goal and challenge to the newbie sewer team runs.
On the tip of Jurassiks nose.
In the hidden office under Grandville and at the bottom of the dam in Faultline once we can travel underwater.

Hi,
under Lanaru the Mad in the middle of the Shadow Shards Storm Palace
Cheers
So many cats - So few recipes!
Age is of no importance,
unless you are a cheese!
There is a giant Stone chair in the Shard. That would be a nice place for one.

lol and call it "Numb Bum"
Edit to add: Actually I don't think I have ever seen that, can you give a location please, want a screenie next time I am in there, thanks.

I'd put one on Monkey Island in PI.
In the "Arena Loading Room" in PI.
(Its an artifact room from i4 when players were beamed into this special room before entering the real arena battle. Only accessable by going to a doorway on Monster Isle. Then logging out, and back in.)

On a side note, the Monkey Island underground door glitch is not the only way to get there. There is at least one hole in the "border" of the map that allows you to pass through it and swim far enough until there isn't any more water and then fly back under it to the Room's location. It actually takes about the same amount of time to get there, but without having to relog. Also, if somebody is already there, they can just TP others there, but be careful.. you CAN get in trouble for TPing people there, especially if it's without their knowledge and/or if they don't have a TP power or Ouro portal to get back out of it on their own.
On another side note, the underground/hidden door trick works in a few other zones too.
The top of the head of Galaxy Girl's statue; the badge would be Galactic Hero(ine).
I can't actually recall the exact location for this; someone might have an old screenshot. In Atlas near the City Hall as I recall. Someone copped an attitude at BaB in game one time, BaB enabled PvP mode and smacked him down. The badge commemorating this, of course, would be Brawled. The description text would be "On this spot, Back Alley Brawler taught a newbie a lesson."
Arc #40529 : The Furies of the Earth
Red side, I'd place one right by Scrapyard's grave in Sharkhead.
There is a door in the SS that you can only get to by flying. Fly Boy (Girl) "The truly determined must make a choice to reach this destination.)
A badge in the University in Croatoa. Bad Location "This should have been placed in Talos"
In Kings Row, where Palidin(s) like to go in the corner. Artificial Intelligence "The clockwork, regardless of how functional they are, are still mindless robots."
Atlas Park in the alcove of the building. Portrait. "Many screen shots have been taken here of many heroes. You are not the first and will not be the last."
YMMV---IMO
Ice Ember
A three-parter. Visit the top of the globes in AP (Top Dog), Warburg and Cap Au Diable and get "Globetrotter".
I'd put one under one of the "Spanky's Boardwalk" signs in Talos. Name would be "Under the Boardwalk"
Another would go in the far Northeast corner of Talos. Name would be "Hardcore Explorer". Description reads: "You must really be a hardcore explorer to come all the way out here"
I always thought there should be a badge on the dance floor of Pocket D called "Everybody Dance Now"
Another would go on one of the Carnival tents in St Martial. Names would be "Sideshow"
And finally, I'd add "Bargain Bin" next to Krazy Mark. Description reads, "You wanna buy a TV?"
Putting a badge at the entrance to the Wolf's Throat in Striga might help people to find it.

What were we talking about again? Oh yeah.. badges.. good plan! lol
In front of Faathim the Kind.
Titled The Kind
Maybe a badge on top of the Megamech's head in the cockpit in the Hess TF like the Head of Hydra badge.
You could call it the "Shock and Awe" badge.
In the Arena of Logic, I fight unarmed.
With the advent of all the new exploration badges, I thought it'd be an appropriate time to indulge in a little wishful thinking. If you were a dev, where would YOU put an exploration badge? Plus appropriate title and explanation, naturally.
Diligent explorers are even now searching out all the corners of the maps in beta, so we only have a little window before the beans start getting spilled.
To start with, I'd put one here in Cap Au Diable:
Alone on a Deserted Isle: The Rogue Isles have never been noted for coastal safety services. Seafarers must exercise extreme caution in these territories or risk more solitude than is preferable.
Something more linked to Cap Au Diable's history might be more appropriate, but you get the idea.
Statesmonkey Sez: Lighten up! It's a game, for Lincoln's sake!
Also: Six years of casual play begins to look an awful lot like one year of hardcore play.
