  1. what is the easiest way to access EE Pither with a hero turned villian (lvl 50) with NO villian contacts ?
    my understanding is that this badge is NOT accessible through Ouroborous.
    EE Pither wont talk to me, Arbitor Daos wont talk to me, Dr Forrester wont talk to me.
    so i could run papers until Wiggly intros me to Terrence, to intro me to Dr Forrester, to intro me to Arbitor Daos, to intro me to EE Pither, but will that even work? will terrence even talk to me at lvl 50?
    iirc completing O arcs does not add the contact.
    please tell me there is an efficient way of getting access to the efficiency badge.

    Brute primaries

    I have a few questions regarding Brutes. I have only one Brute over lvl 20. Although I like my current shield brute, I still have never felt the awesomeness with any Brute, that others feel about their Brutes.

    1) How would you rate Brute primaries?

    2) Do you think Brute primaries are slow? Or fast? Or somewhere between? Regarding playability (blasters are fast, controllers are slow).

    3) What are some of your others thoughts about Brutes.

  4. I have never gotten a brute to lvl 20 although I have started a few. When I saw the animations for Kinetic melee I said I have to make one. I decided to try a brute again because of my lack of interest in the past (trying to get out of my box).

    So that's where I'm coming from. However, I don't know Brutes well and I don't know Kinetic at all. So here is a quick mids I threw together. I am not a min/max er, I just like to have fun and I do solo a lot (PVE only).

    I am at lvl 12 and it has been fun (albeit slow). So I'm looking for advice on, what if any thing that I've taken is skippable. What are some general ideas/attack chains for Kinetic, etc.

    Huge benefits to tankers. When I first heard this i immediately though of tankers. My Dark tanker with take the damage aura now, because i will be able to take phys perfection and be able to have on eight toggles (yes u read that correctly). My invul scranker will now be able to get weave, i never got it because i wanted a lot of attacks (scranker) and never needed weave, but always wished i had it to convert greatness into uberness. Those two are just off the top of my head, when i sit down and think about this seriously. WOW

  7. Wow this is a great change for the game. Basically three new powers. This can change good characters into great ones and great ones into uber ones. Everyone having stamina inherent all the time, etc. This will be great for tankers for so many reasons. Way too many ways this will be great to list.

    So just to be clear; we will have 97 slots now, not 94. Correct ?

    If my Rogue goes full Hero can I run story arc mishes by introducing myself to a contact, or will I only be able to run story arcs through Ourobouros?

    the description reads:

    Maga was a mischievous and rebellious tomboy in medieval England. At just fourteen she posed as a boy and boarded a pirate boat headed to the Northern Isles. Maga fought many vikings with great many kills, but the boat was attacked by a sea creature and sunk. As the lone survivor Maga dived into the depths to kill the beast. But it was no sea creature, in fact a goodly witch. The witch saw Maga's true gender and enslaved her mind. Maga was made to do many goodly acts, and Maga reluctantly saved as many lives as she took. Maga was eventually struck down by an evil pirate while saving a small child. Refused from heaven for her evil intent she joined Satan below for a while, but Satan learned of her history, for her goodly acts Maga was banished back to Earth, without feeling, but not before she was able to acquire some rather unique "gifts" such as demon summoning. Now Maga kills all she sees in hopes of a future welcome to Hell.


    I just got her to lvl 32 today. This demon MM has been one of my favorite characters.
  17. You shouldn't have major end issues with Stamina, especially if you are also getting recovery bonuses from sets.
    Your natural recovery rate is 60 seconds to recover 100 endurance. With Stamina and three lvl 30 end mod IOs that should go down to about 35 seconds (approx.).

    The 2.62% total recover figure is correct because naturally it is 1.67% and with Stamina slotted as I suggested you should be at 2.5% (approx.).

    Stamina usually only needs four slots, three generic end mod IOs (or SOs) and one slot for a +end proc. You can put a set in there (efficacy adapt) to get the set bonus, however, make sure you are getting atleast 95% endurance enhancement from the set.

    If you are choosing parts of the end mod set that are not getting you to 95% endurance enhancement you need to replace some of those. It is always best to start any end mod set with the one IO that is end mod only, obviously because it gives the biggest % to the main objective.

    Also if you've been fighting carnies (or malta sappers) they sap end with their powers and when they die, although I doubt this is your current issue.

    I haven't heard a lot of hate over master of badges, but definitely some frustration.
    Personally I have never stated my frustration (before now) about them but I am somewhat frustrated with the some of the players that join Master of TFs. I am not a hardcore badger (im up to about 650) but the MoSTF is very desirable to me. It is rare that I have enough time in one sitting to attempt it so when I do I give the missions my complete attention. Many of the MoSTFs I have been on have had a few players who are not all that serious about it and are not paying enough attention.

    I have been on about twenty failed MoSTFs. Many of them failed because of a logicistical mistake by a player who was not well instructed by the leader. For example, one failed MoSTF i was on the leader forgot to tell the group to kill the chief last, half the team blasted him first and the ambush ran in from the side while we still had the entire mob on us and the empath went down in a millisecond. It is frustrating, but it happens, I can accept that.

    What makes me mad is when people just dont pay attention. I was on a failed MoSTF where a person that i play with occasionally, that started the TF, became complacent and just casually jogged right into LR while chatting with the team. We had breezed through all the AVs including GW and that would have been an easy badge. That pissed me off. I wanted to go to his house and punch him.

    What makes me mad is when people dont listen to the leader and think they know better.
    I had a MoSTF team that struggled through to the AVs, there was no snipe on the team at all. Now my ice/ice blaster had been asked to pull the AVs one at a time on two previous occasions and with skill (and luck) I was able to get them one at a time, ofcourse the only time I was asked during a Mo I got scorpian and mako. We start tearing into mako and the tank taunts mako then scorpian repeatedly, scorpian ignores us completely, but mako keeps doing this little turn around look before the tank taunts him back. So the tank starts screaming for everyone to move back, we all do except for one person (controller?), the tanks tells her to move back atleast four times, which she ignores, mako is mostly dead, turns and pawns the controller. Long story short, just F***ing do what your told !!!

    If youre a player and you join a Mo TF you must completely focus yourself for those few hours. Dont IM your friends. Dont assume you can do what you think is right. Remember that there are other players that take this seriously. If you just want to have some casual fun, that's GREAT, its just a game, BUT do it somewhere else.

    And dont get me started on the blaster that thought he could tank a lvl 54 AV on the last mish on the Kahn Mo that we had breezed through.

    Because of these reasons I have stopped trying for Mo badges. Until I can find 7 other players that are serious about the badge. I dont care if I fail a hundred times, as long as its not due to stupidity or snobiness.

  20. All MMOs took a hit first quarter not only NCSoft. I suspect that a lot of people who had stopped playing in 2009 didn't renew their subs when the bill came. People who in previous yrs may have continued to pay thinking "that game is fun, i'll probably get back into it in two or three months, I'll let the CC autopay another yr" now decided "i dont play that game anymore, although its fun, Im cancelling".
  21. As has been stated negative energy is the least resisted (iirc) with fire near the top as well, and lethal is the most resisted damage type in the game. However, remember it is not only about how much damage being resisted that makes enemies die fast. Fire or energy attacks may have longer animation times than lethal attacks, debuffing an enemies defense goes a long way in how quickly it will die, debuffing an enemies to hit will greatly increase your survivability. My Katana scrapper only does lethal damage but enemies drop like flies around him because he gets a huge Defense buff from divine avalanche and the attacks are quick and he can lay down a long chain of attacks faster than the enemy can dish it out.

    That is a ridiculous statement. Firstly, the devs dont want us to be able to store more in the vault because they want us to put almost everything into the market. That's why the vault storage is so tiny. Secondly, the vault is char based not global and recoding it to be global was probably more difficult than recoding email to take attachments. Imagine trying to recode 30 characters with 40 salvage items EACH into one global with 100 slots, what would happen to the hundreds of extra salvage pieces? If you made the global storage unlimited, that would destroy the First point. Thirdly, the devs have made many changes to the game to make RMTs more difficult, so obviously they are NOT getting a cut.

    EDIT: If by "special" you mean, an additional global set of 20 items, where only the "special" are global, that would have meant coding something new and separate from the current vault. Which would have been a lot of new additional coding, again probably a lot more work than just adding attachments to the current functioning email system.
