I agree with you Gray. My older rig with 1GB of RAM was playable, but my load screens and markets were really slow. I just got an awesome laptop with 4GB of RAM and a dedicated graphics card and CoX runs like a dream! More RAM truly helps! On that note, I probably won't grace the forums with my presence for a while because of the awesome DP blaster I need to re-create from the test server onto live!

Same here. I had even made a couple of posts about it before her posts showed up.

If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.

Win7 requires 1GB of ram just for itself bud. All that shiny stuff in Win7 uses more ram. Though it works alot better.
And okay okay I have a pretty good complaint if people are mad that there crappy computer can't play CoX if it is under the recomended requirements. Yes if you have a laptop i feel sorry for it. But if your using a PC I am going to laugh at your. $100 can net you a computer that can easily play this game. Heck my data server can play this game. It has a cheapy P4 1gig of ddr2 and a piece of crap graphics card. The only part of that computer that makes it cost over $50 is the fact that i have 2TB of hard drive space.

Alot of people haven't upgraded from using there old P3s. I don't get it. P4s are so cheap to build right now. But then I build computers too so I have a advantage of being savy enough to get decent deals and not have to pay someone to work on my computer.

We already have a pretty good idea of what's going to be included. I can't blame them for not committing to exact details this far out from release, since a lot can change over a few months. Would you prefer that they promise things that might end up getting cut from the final release because they're not finished by the deadline, or that for whatever reason turn out to just not work? Then people would be screaming bloody murder because the devs 'lied' to them.

I'm sympathetic towards people with reasonable complaints. This isn't a reasonable complaint.
Remember, this is a pre PURCHASE, not a pre ORDER. I can cancel a pre-order. Can I do the same here if the end result is not up to expectations? It doesn't matter to me, since I'm not pre-purchasing, but I made that choice based on lack of information. There is indeed a difference here and it is a valid concern to some people.

Hi, not sure if this is the right place to bring this up, but it's been a while since I've been to the forums and I'm all disoriented.

I tried pre-purchasing GR today but when I do, after I enter my card's information and after it asks me to confirm the purchase, it gives me a message that goes something like this:

"We're sorry, but we are unable to accept your order at this time. Please try again later or tomorrow. If you continue to have problems, you may wish to visit one of our retail partners."

I live in New Jersey and I had no problem purchasing the Martial Arts $10.00 booster last night, so I don't see why my region would be a problem, or why they can't accept my order "at this time?"

I would appreciate any help with this-- I'm super-excited to start feeding people lead sandwiches.

I believe that's being caused by more people trying to pre-purchase Going Rogue than the online store's software can handle. Your best bet is to just wait it out.

Already discussed this on page one of the thread...

Wait until at least 24 hours have passed since you purchased the Martial Arts Booster, then try again. Or, like I said earlier, try using a different credit card.

This is a bit of an exaggeration, or perhaps due to latency from your rather large distance from the servers. I can solo, and reasonably duo on a level 50, and probably won't disconnect on up to a four person team. Larger teams, especially in higher levels, where there are more AoEs being thrown around are right out at ~48K actual connection speed. I've just recently done a bunch of rapid-fire missions on a three member pick up group in the Hollows, just to see what it was like, and had no problems. Nobody was set to higher than basic virtual team size, since we were fighting at level 7, with two of us exemplared down and having powers up to level 12.

I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone on dial-up, but it is playable, so long as you avoid larger teams, and a lot of other really fun things.

I live in the UK and want Going Rogue, does this mean I am restricted to getting it via Digital Download or is the box likely to be launched in Europe as well?

My Connection is fairly consistant but the speed isn't meaning that Digital Purchase is not a feasable option.

Please check back again soon.
Where is this scheduled? I haven't seen anything about it being scheduled in ANY of the message boards. How long will this scheduled maintenance last?

Thanks!

No boxes for Europe.
Yes, I'm annoyed too.

Bingo! I've been checking it since 8am (est). No word of this anywhere, at least someone could address it. Brief announcement or some such. Really frustrating...

Paragon Studios has no control over the online store, guys. It's run by NCSoft.

Check the PlayNC and/or NCSoft websites for details or to contact their support, rather than getting ticked off at the game developers.

This is why I'm still seriously considering waiting until July. I know that my little $29.99 isn't going to hurt them that much, but what if other people out there are considering the same thing? It wouldn't be so bad if there was some sort of announcement, I know that SOMEONE at NCSoft has to know, one little announcement: "Hey we're sorry. we'll get it fixed ASAP", would go a long way towards creating some goodwill about the situation.

I feel like I'm getting a big "F-you, we don't care about you as a customer...
