Ocho any word on when we are gonna be able to pre-order ?? The date is quickly approaching, getting a predownload so it doesnt cut into Double XP weekend would be beyond fantastic.

my guess is going to be pre-purchase starting on tuesday(ONLY A GUESS), although there shouldnt be anything to predownload since its not an new issue.. just a small patch to include duel pistols when they start it up.
Well, well, well, now, an MMO company has offered free character server transfers during December through March, nearly 1/4 of a year? Thus encouraging players to redistribute themselves across servers, likely consolidating on some populous servers, leaving others relatively under-populated? During the worst economy since the Great Depression? When players are complaining about some servers being virtual ghost-towns? During a Double XP Weekend, when former players are expected to return in large numbers, requiring the company to expend significant resources to process transfer requests? Why would a company do this? What is the business rationale? And what is the logical conclusion?

Ya know, when this first went Live, I was like, "Cool. I'm sure there are people who will benefit from it, but I have no use for it. Still, cool."
And I ended up using it anyway. 
Also: I agree. Very smart move leaving it going until Post 2x XP 4 Day Weekend.

1) The Free Server Transfer offer was a gift to the players from the staff for their support. They extended it for a month of their own free will, again as a gift to the players, who were using these transfers to spend time on other servers, including these "under-populated" servers. Now they are extending it one more week. It is not "through March", since that implies the full month, not just the first week of said month of March.
2) It also gave people chances to visit other servers that they may not have considered before, including those "under-populated" servers.
3) Because NCSoft/Paragon Studios wanted to do something nice during said hard economic times and make those who support the game happy, even through the worst economy since the Great Depression.
4) People complain about not finding teams on Virtue and Freedom, so that happens on EVERY server, not just the "ghost-town" servers.
5) During a Double XP/REACTIVATION Weekend, so that those who might come back and check the game out may ALSO check out other servers... which may be the reason they left in the first place because they weren't happy on the server they were playing on. Also, a Double XP/Reactivation Weekend that starts 2 days after pre-purchase of Going Rogue goes on sale... a Double XP/Reactivation Weekend which will have early usage of the Dual Blasters set with pre-purchase of Going Rogue. As for "significant resources", that is simply hyperbole... server transfers do not take "significant resources" to handle.
6) Because this is a marketing strategy... show the returning people the "new upcoming shinies" and they consider re-subscribing PLUS pre-purchasing Going Rogue. $30 plus $15/month returning subscription > $10 for server transfer. Steady stream of funds will always outweigh one-time fees.
6) The business rationale is "possible susbcription renewals and maybe more $30 Going Rogue pre-purchases because we end up netting more revenue to help with development of future updates than making the reactivated people pay $10 for server transfers".
7) The logical conclusion is what little they lose with the free server transfers during that extra free week has the opportunity for the company to receive exponentially larger revenue than if they reinstated the $10 server transfer fee before Double XP/Reactivation Weekend.
