No worse than or current tails...that said I didn't like how they did the fox tail. :/ It needed to narrow down more at the connect imo. As it was, it was way to wide and made it look terrible.

Well I look at it this way: I hope that the animated tails we get here are an improvement over what they got in CO. But even if they aren't for some reason we're still going to get, at the very least, our old legacy tails with belts. I've been wanting tails and belts together as an option almost as much as animated tails themselves.

As with all artwork, it's not a question of drawing "just something," it's a question of drawing something good. Granted, I haven't seen our tails, and they may make me wish to punch people (though I doubt it), but even then, BABs has been known to pay a LOT of attention to what looks good, rather than just throwing something in to tick a box. With this in mind, I'm not worried.

Hell, there is one as a Boss in Okami. Ninetails is NOT unique to Pokemon, Naruto, whatever, and you could trademark it as much as Marvel could trademark 'Hercules'. E.g. they cant.

Those CO tails looks kinda rushed - like they were an afterthought, rather than planned from the start.

Without some level of graphical tweeking, bushy tails will suck. I hate using Second Life as an example, but they do have some pretty nice looking tails in there, unfortunately they have some steep prim counts attached to them, at least the good ones. The low prim count ones look like CO's tails.
As for multi-tails.... okay not even Second Life can make them look right. After 1 or 2, it just looks like you have feather duster on your butt. Lets just keep it to one.
