Ahem. Because I was a dork and didn't look at some of the other entries before posting mine, mine looks way too much like a copy of someone who posted earlier for me to be happy. I even did the Paragon Protectors in the background in pretty much the same way x.x; So I went and re-did my entry! Here's my NEW submission, ignore the previous one;

My idea here was to try to approach it from a different angle, and try to make my picture in the spirit of the original illustrations that came with the first printing of the book! In this scene the Circle of Thorns summoned something they can't quite handle

I will happily accept Shia's second submission. Those original Alice In Wonderland illustrations are some of my all-time favorite pen and ink works. Really happy to see someone reference them, as they are what come to MY mind when I think of Alice.

Will try to improve this, it needs it, but I'm tired of struggling with it for today. Maybe tonight I'll go back to the original B&W and see what I can do there or maybe tommorow morning after work, before the hockey game I'll see what I can do... But if not, least it's something I can get officially eliminated with

Wow Shia! I was going to comment on your first entry and how much I loved it then the second pops up! OMG. While I think the first one screams it's connection to COH, I can't help but love the second. Snot only do you have to choose which one to enter but I have to know I don't get to choose both! Awesome stuff.

Shia, I think your second one is way stronger. Probably a good thing you had to reformulate it!

Ya'll can rest easy again this month. with great dissapointment I must withdraw from the contest. I just dont have the time with school and the other things going on in my life at the moment. best of luck to the competitors I will still be around voting etc. (hopefully)

I'm torn between two responses to Swanzies dropping out... Here's both, just choose whichever you prefer.

#1) Mwuahahahahahaha! My evil scheme of bombarding artists with so much work that they have to drop out and leave me the sole contestant and thus the 2010 FArt champion is proceeding exactly as planned!!!!!

#2) what?? But... But... But I'm supposed to get voted out this month!! You mean now everyone is going to have to suffer the torment of one of my arts yet again next month?? How can you be so cruel, Eddy... How????


But seriously man, very sad to hear you can't throw something together in time. . You know if it's my coloring jobs eating up time that I can wait til the end of the contest for you to finish them, right?? But, hard as it is for me to accept, I suspect your real life involves more than just coloring for me...

We could still have an elimination, tis up to Wassy... And I'd think eventually it would be best to start having some, drop outs or no. It would be a shame to allow this to become a mere endurance contest and if we continue with no eliminations or if it becomes to common, the real (ie not me) artists in this contest may start wondering why they're trying so hard instead of just coasting to the finals...

Okay I couldn't help my self Shia.... Your entry is now my desktop. I hope you don't mind. I have this horrible fascination with creepy Alice and seeing her eat that Demon adds to my zombie flesh eater fascination too.
