since Preatoria is a mirror universe.

will we get to meet our mirrored self ?

maybe if your a heroes you will have to fight your mirror self.

Going Rogue will feature "Doppelgangers" according to the Going Rogue info released recently.

And actually, Praetoria isn't a mirrored universe to ours. Things will be opposite, but not a direct mirrored image. Some heroes and villains are either non-existant, dead, or possible even good or evil like their Primal Earth counterparts.

pohsyb: so of all people you must be most excited about the veats
Arachnos Commander: actually, I am
pohsyb: I mean you kinda were one already anyways ^_^

Doppelgangers were never mentioned at all - and certainly not in any GR info

It's an alternative universe - it's not a mirror universe

mirror universe or alternative universe is globally the same thing.

because a mirror universe IS an alternative universe.

alternative is the umbrella term.

edit: oh and **

Golden Girl is correct in both cases.

Mirror worlds are not the same as alternate realities.
Doppelgängers have not been mentioned (officially) at all.

But an alternative universe is not always a mirror one

The only time they've been mentioned was in an article about I17, and the "nefarious new enemy" that will match us "blow for blow" - so some kind of doppelganger does seem to be suggested by that, as well as the title "Dark Mirror".

I thought it is called Dark Mirror because of the new reflective surfaces and shadows from UM.

so maybe the doppleganger thing is for Issue 17 and not GR

It's possible - having to fight a mirror of yourself, with exactly the same powers has been requested quite a bit.

No one mentioned doppelgangers save the fans. All that's been mentioned officially is "a new enemy that will match players blow for blow."

Well, that's one possible meaning, but they usually seem to give Issue titles that are tied to something in-game, rather than something like a graphics upgrade

The new enemy is also "nefarious" - not sure if that's important or not

well, it seems like dopplegangers would be easy enough to make. just take the two power sets of your character and place them into the custom foes for MA. as for the costume, just copy your costume, and then move every color 1 or two steps darker, except for the already black. boom, evil you. although actually, I'm not sure if it could work... it seems like it should be possible to change the nature of a mission based on the character who has it. ($name is what I'm going on here, but it probably wouldn't be anywhere near this.) whatever. I'm probably way off base here.

But I don't think it's really a mirror in the way that you are thinking.
Not everyone has a living doppleganger.
Recluse's counterpart was killed. (A mirror would be that Recluse would be a hero. Spider-Man?)
Nemesis' counterpart died as a simple toymaker.
It's a place where history took a left turn where ours took a right, and the rippling cause-and-effect added up to quite a different place, but not 100% opposite in every way.

Another example of it being alternative rather than mirror is the Devouring Earth - they have exactly the same motivations on Praetoria, only they seem to have been way more successful than on Primal Earth.

If this is the case, I demand a new inherent: Windex.

Hate to burst anyone's bubble here but War Witch explicitly stated it's NOT a nemesis-type system.
