  • Going Rogue ($29.99)
  • Some as-yet unnamed add-on pack that includes the Alpha- and Omega-themed auras and costume sets, Shadowy Presence, and extra emotes ($9.99)
  • Going Rogue: Complete Collection ($39.99), which includes both of the above.

The second item is speculation on my part, but it would be like how people who bought the Architect Edition got to add on one of the booster packs. Or a better analogy might be the "Hero Gear" kit that they released so that people wouldn't have to buy the CoH Collector's Edition DVD after they had already bought the original game.

If they don't do that, then the question that I'd have is that if someone spends $30 and then changes their mind and decides that they want the goodies in the Complete Collection edition, do they really have to go shell out $40 more for it also, or can the just buy something for around $10 (the second item above) that will effectively give them the same thing?
It also contains base CoH for those that don't have it afaik.

Well, technically, probably not move around, since the power apparently doesn't give you stealth when you're moving.

I can't think of any other powers that take effect based on whether a character is in motion or not. Can anyone else?

Hmmm, actually, I thought they said it WOULD be used in bases, but like other indoor instances, live shadows would not. Guess I need to listen to that podcast again :P

Well, use it to avoid patrols then by hiding in the shadows

...although the rest of it sounds good, i'm just a little miffed to hear that they're lowering the EAT unlock to 20. mostly because my first character is only nw reaching level 48. CURSES!!! at least I'll get the redside EAT... ah, well. I'm sure this will save a certain amount of frustration, and allow more people o get a look at the EAT content sooner. just my personal gripe.

Thats the one bit I'm not happy with, though thats easy for me to say with multiple 50s, I guess my Brother will be happy he's a 60 month Vet with no 50s yet, talk about altitis!

The level 20 EAT's could be refering to two (or more) as yet unknown GR EAT's

That would leave the existing Hero/Villain EAT's at level 50, and the new ones from level 20, the very same level you have to leave GR and select a side.

Which would in the sense of GR be the point that you exit into existing (as of now) content, the end of the GR starter arcs too.

Complete GR starter = Get GR EAT's (Seems logical to me.)

I love when people have this kind of random wishful thinking. The logical thing is that if they were going to do something they would have announced it by now, and they CERTAINLY wouldn't release it before GR. Seriously. If it was something you got for getting to Level 20 in Praetoria...It CANNOT be released before GR.

Pre-order GR: Get to test Powersets when they hit test early.
Confirmation?

Last I heard they were testing powersets in the next couple of weeks, heavily suggesting that they are going to be releasing them for those who pre-order at that point.

Bad Voodoo by @Beyond Reach. Arc ID #373659. Level 20-24. Mr. Bocor has fallen victim to a group of hooded vigilantes who have been plaguing Port Oakes, interfering with illegal operations and pacifying villain's powers. He demands that revenge is taken on these miscreants and his powers are returned! You look like just the villain for the job. Challenging.

Collectors: Much the same as CoH and CoV Collecters had unique items. Plus powerset testing.
The powersets, in other words, arent going to hit live until GR releases. In July.
I suspect that at least Dual Pistols and Demon Summoning, if not others, will be available on Live before GR releases. Dual Pistols is available on test right now. I wouldn't be surprised if Demon Summoning begins testing next month. Those are both available for people that haven't pre-ordered anything. That gives each one a good month of testing before it would hit Live for pre-orderers, March for Dual Pistols and April for Demon Summoning.

Also, though perhaps not a strong point, early test access does appear very enticing in comparison to the goodies packed with the complete collection. If you can only have one or the other without purchasing two copies of GR, I will hold out for the complete collection.

No, you need to already have a CoH/V account in order to apply GR.

That is EXTREMELY unlikely.

Okay, this power sounds, at first glance, completely useless.

Toggle it on. You're now extremely stealthy! YAY!

However:
  • You can't move, or it shuts off.
  • You can't be attacked, or it shuts off.
  • You can't attack anyone (which would provoke a hostile response), or it will shut off.
So, unless you're a healer/buffer/etc., this thing is nothing but glitter.

Or am I missing something?

Maybe pvp'ers could use it to spring traps?

That was what my guess was going to be. Only other thing I could think of.. stand next to a mission door, click it, zone in and maybe.. in the off-chance there's a spawn near the door, you won't die.

..But you better hope there isn't a Rikti Drone or anything else that ignores stealth or an ambush that 'knows' you're there.

Final guess would be something to afk with. ..Now I'm wondering what the purpose, or at least reasoning behind the 10 minute timer is.

No, the Complete Edition has CoH/V AND GR in it. As in, it's the 'Complete' game
Which means 30 days free playtime for those of us who have the game already.

Think of it as an emote that costs endurance.

Well, that's certainly enticing.

Well, there's no guarantee that heals and buffs won't deactivate it.

I'm not sure "glitter" is the word I would use to describe something that makes you less visible. That's kind of the opposite of glitter. I'm really not seeing the appeal here. I guess it's helpful to avoid patrols while you're AFK.

P.S. I liked the tongue-sticking-out smiley on the old forums better.

bit sad that they're showing us screenies (ooh, shiny) and telling us that Ultra Mode is coming "if your computer can handle it" but not telling us what our computer will need to have in order to handle it.

still, looks nice, not sure on the EATs at 20 thing, but I suppose if it encourages new players (seems unlikely) and the other stuff sounds good. Probably go for the collectors version of GR.

@craggy see me on Union for TFs, SFs (please!) or just some good ol fashioned teaming.

Keep in mind that they're not done with it yet, so the requirements and recommendations may still change. It's not a bad idea to keep the exact specifications under wraps until they know for sure; you wouldn't want everyone going out and buying new equipment just to turn around and say, "Um, that won't work" later.

Nevertheless, Matt did post this list of video cards that should be able to handle the job pretty well. You might want to take a look at it if you're in the planning stages of an upgrade.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

thanks, Tony. been needing to upgrade for a few months now and keep holding off until any of the new games I'm wanting announce any kind of requirements. At least I can consider prices now.

Some things that come to mind:

- To rest without being targetted
- To AFK safely
- Possibly to get another critical from hidden status for stalkers and banes

Stealth powers break not on movement, but on attack activation and clicking blinkies. If this has opposite rules for breaking stealth and it breaks on movement but not on activating powers or blinkies, then you could use it:

- To click blicking objects
- To set up traps
- To be a hidden, stationary healer/buffer
