15 scrappers in RV, 2 tanks, 2 blasters, 0 trollers, 0 defenders.
Prolly the same reason there are so many stalkers on at any given time.
Sure it used to take skill to land AS on a moving opponent, but when bands of stalkers run around and just throw shraks, well its not so impressive a feat. Beside regens can live through shraks pretty easy. |
A good Regen will live through just about anything, even under zone rules. Of course, most of the Regens in RV are complete tards.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
Damn they can? Ive been killing regen scrappers with sharks for months, I wish somebody told me, now killing a blaster with a shark? Now THAT'S crazy talk! >_>

If they weren't so lazy they could have AS'd him and itd be over with, but people like fish I guess.

Dark/Shield Build Thread
Bingo. I'm built for for buffing, survivability, and evasion. i13 comes along...and DR hurts of course, but the HD and TS severely limit my potential to say the least. I started to type out a lot more here, but I'm going to refrain from e-raging regarding the dumbing down of PvP.

Even a horrible emp like me rarely dies.
First off, you're not a horrible emp, Emp; B., wrecking special people in zones is only fun for so long; and 12thly, I know I'll want to rage so badly that I don't know if I can resist the urge to immediately unsub the next time I experience TS and HD (even if they aren't getting me killed). I want to hurt somebody just thinking about it.
There are a total of two things that are fun to play in RV.
1: An SS tank, with the original animations, and preferably really tall. Every time I kill someone by throwing a rock at them I am overwhelmed with feelings of accomplishment. Not even having to be anywhere near my target to start winding up a KNOCKOUT BLOW ATTACK is equally euphoric.
2. Shrakzooka. Oh, and, I know some people think they know... but they don't. There are sharks, and there are shraks - and most people who think they can shrak are probably delusional, and bad, and biters who should go bite more pillows and less of our material. Either way, shrakzooka cannon all day. Real talk.
I see what you did there. Shraks is what you use to break the code in silits message. If you take out all the corrects words you get dis:

i'd rather be left out than play in your team divine. |
yeah, used to pvp a lot in RV but AS/sharking tanks/scraps gets very fast boring; bringing debuffer does help some but sadly all you can do with TS and DR HD bs on is trowing 1-2 debuffs, maybe 1-2 attacks and hibernate, since you can't evade, can't heal and can't even do as much dmg as scraps/tanks do :/ If there is at least 1-2 half downy psi em in zone it is not even worth to bring anything w/o high survivability.
On hero side i wouldn't even bother bringing anything but blaster (well, i don't play scraps/tanks, every time i play my brute i already feel like my IQ drops down) cuz w/o heals you can survive only so much vs sharks and doms. Bring a tanker and unless you are very bad you can make it from vill base to hero base w/o dying even if 8 man team is attacking you. Balance in my a**.
I enjoy bringing a well balanced team to RV, or running whatever, being outnumbered and getting farmed. The trash talk doesn't bother me because I can't read.
Then I miss old PvP and the folks who left because of i13 and I get sad.
But look on the bright side, the system is fully optimized for someone who will never PvP and likes making PvPrs sad.
Infinity and Victory mostly
dUmb, etc.
lolz PvP anymore, Market PvP for fun and profit
my well balanced team is composed of 8 shrakers.
don't worry guys, I'll still play my E^3 blaster in zones all the time. Then I'll complain about it in the forums and say how Elec blast needs a serious damage buff and a tier 3 blast in addition to longer time for VS to be active and have higher damage.
Also... is sonic useful in this PvP? I like using my sonic defender for stuff.
I play regen for 2 reasons. Heals are enough to deal with all the villain dmg, sharks +uber fire doms usually buffed up by corrs. I find nothing easier than all the hibernating phasing going on in the zone. Regen is alright, but God, you people make it sound a lot better than it actually is. I get heat x on me so much in zone pvp followed by 20 mezzes and pew pew pew. There is no point in playing a defender or troller in RV unless u buff. Everything outdamages you and if you even get close to a kill expect hibernate 100% of the time. Hell, if we play blasters people cry too. If regen got nerfed scraps would be even more lolmelee...takes a good scrap to take on these i16 doms

It doesn't, really. For an example, see just about any Regen in Freedom RV (Chido, sadly, is the first one that comes to mind). Most of those players are downright terrible - you can tell by the way they move (or don't) and use powers (or don't), yet they manage to stay alive and even occasionally get kills. Click heals when your health is low, click IH as a backup, use MoG when you have to. Regens are one of the few builds that can still sometimes get by without a phase power in PvP because they're just that good, survivability-wise. If you play even half-intelligently you should rarely if ever die, even under zone rules.

There another issue, why should we NEED Phase or hibernoob. I refuse to take either, I dont mind gettin' ganked on my regen scrapper, my SR scrapper, my fire blaster, my ice/rad troller, my Dark Def, my MM, my... you get the point, because I enjoy the fight, and normally I have a good K/D ratio.
TS, DR suck, Devs need to fix this **** they call PvP. And I just started to PvP, never experienced I12 or earlier, was PvE only untill a month and a half ago and even I think it sucks.... omg I wish we were all as capable as we are in PvE...
As far as your personal playstyle, that's great. But most people prefer not to die if they can help it. And phase/hiber does that.
