You want to fight about it? Yes, it's a subjective opinion. How can my own subjective opinion be wrong? Costumes>what you said.

You keep using that same facepalm, any chance you can shrink it to a less obnoxious size

You guys are hillarious. Costumes and character creation in general is this game's biggest selling point, always has been. If you don't enjoy spending hours creating just the right look for your hero/villain, you are in the minority. I for one would have never even started playing this game if the character creation hadn't sucked me in.

Honestly, if you don't care what your character looks like.....why are you even playing this game? There are plenty of better games out there, if customizing your character isn't important to you.

Anyway, don't assume anyone else feels like you. You are the minority in this fanbase.

Tyrant's bio is intriguing - shades of grey, but slanted more towards good (propaganda probably).

POTENTIAL SPOILERS:- I really like that Primal Earth's "supers" are being made out to be the villains in all of this (admittedly I'm biased as I prefer playing villains) - similar to how the Rikti must have viewed Primal Earth's heroes after the initial attack on their home dimension too - it makes me wonder if a certain Prussian Prince is involved this time too, but then if Emperor Cole has been having trouble with the Resistance movement in Praetoria then having an external threat would prove very useful as an aid for keeping the population in line in an Orwellian 1984-style way ("obey me and I'll save you again - this time from the global threat these inter-dimensional invaders pose!"). END SPOILER

Re: the screenshot, the costume is great - especially if we can get costume pieces with colour-definable neon too - but I'm more interested in whether the background is from an actual zone or a new tileset/map - as we desperately need new/more tilesets/maps (i.e. ones that we don't all know better than the layouts of our own houses in RL).

The Well may not be (just) magic. In the Web of Arachnos novel when Marcus Cole and Stefan Richter found Pandora's Box (a leak from which had infused the water of the Fountain of Zeus with power, which then poured out into Well of the Furies) Marcus saw it as a magical artefact, while Stefan thought it was advanced tech/science.

The opening of the box started an age of superheroes of all 5 origins (as it had done once before, in Cimerora's time) so that suggests that the Box/Well has the potential power of all 5 origins within it.

"Incarnate" just refers to the fact that both Marcus and Stefan are avatars/hosts for the spirit of a "God" (Zeus and Tartarus, respectively) as a result of drinking directly from the Well, hence why they're so much more powerful than most superheroes/supervillains.

This. I've tried to play games like X-Men Legends, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Justice League Heroes, etc. (all above average to very good games) but without the ability to make the avatar I like I lose interest.

Oh, sorry, short version: /signed.

Same for maps I don't know the spawn points and add enemies I don't the dance steps to "Arresting" by heart. I'm dying for new, developer created content. Add me to the list of happy for any new info.

Thank you, City of Heroes, for giving me a superhero social network combined with amazingly smooth game play. Petitions signed with realistic expectations.

What are you waiting for? They're both in-game already

I've soloed both of them, but I was speaking about lore-wise more than gameplay-wise when I said "more powerful," as my previous post made blatantly clear

Wikipedia has a pretty good background of the Rick Roll and the "duck roll" that preceeded it.

Honestly, I always thought the joke of it was that the video was "Never Gonna Give You Up", and was following you around the Internet. Like it would take over links to take you back to it. That may not be the original thought, but I think it's funny.

And that Muppet version is one of my favorites. Mainly because, although it's obviously edited and repeats a lot, the sound is so well synchronized to Beaker's mouth movements.

I realize its not done yet but it looks to me as if there is nothing much to do in that passage way it will be just another place you superspeed through and take no notice of.
I think it's important to remember that the playerbase doesn't have identical wishes or playstyles

And now, a counterargument from Dizzy.

Screenshot tells us a lot actually. Since we're getting graphical updates and there are new groups. We also see new artwork and a new environment. Maybe it's not a lot, but we've been asking for new GR info for a long time, and this is new GR info. Marketing wouldn't let them show off too much. This is basically the right amount of info.

Costumes dont make this game.
I do a lot with costumes in this game. I always earn all my slots and make good costumes that I like. I spend a lot of time working on them and get a lot of compliments. I have some characters who have more than five regular costumes (using the save/load function) and my main character has more than 25 outfits. I also know someone who changes her outfit daily, even if it's a small change.

Almost all my toons get new outfits as soon as they hit 20, 30, and 40. Many of them get a second outfit using salvage, which I have stockpiled, very early on. Almost none of my toons have ANY free tailor sessions. And I park some near the tailor so they get discounts.

It will me. I'm hoping GR has tons of new outfits because I've exhausted the current ones, at least for "normal" outfits. I can still do a lot for magic and formal characters, but I'm waiting for more. I'm also waiting on news about tails with belts, because my main character up there needs belts.

We don't know much about it. It may be scenery, but it may also be part of a mission map that's normally filled with guys. Plus, nobody uses Superspeed. See what I did there?

Jdub no wonder you get into trouble with other posters, that almost makes it sounds like you are saying the only reason for the game is to create a look. So they could take out the ITF, RWz, etc and you would be happy?

(Note: i really enjoy making new looks usually combine with a macro or two i've also played with people who told me they cared nothing about There look and yet they played very good.)

I agree. Looks are just as important as what you do to most of the world. Example: Tim Sylvia Was a decent fighter, and a UFC champ. He was boring as hell to watch. I was so glad when the title turned over. It is the same with characters. If I didn't care what a character looked like, I would play a MUD, or a P&P game. I play this because it is visualy stimulating.

I would be pissed if new costumes, animations, and powers dried up.

I didn't make it sound like that at all. You merely quoted one sentence from my post and twisted it with hyperbole.

There is plenty to do in CoX, but if you don't care about character customization....there are alot of games out there that are better than this one. If you took the character customization out of this game, I pretty sure it would have failed in it's first year. How many people would have stuck with this game for 5+ years if you had to choose from 20 premade characters?

Why do you think power customization and weapon customization were such huge success stories? Why after 5 + years is there still costume contests every single day?

It's not really an opinion. This game's biggest attribute is the character creation. This was true on release, and it's true now.

I have made two forum avatars for anyone that wants to have an "official" Undrn3t avatar. One is square and the other one is just a round cropped version of the square one.

Needless to say I'm not very happy with how it looks rounded... but it's there if anyone wants it. They are all the same size and format as the official GR avatars.

You'll note that I "cleverly" put the Resistance avatar INSIDE of my Undrn3t avatar.
