Your Dustiest Character

So with the addition of the server transfers, I'm getting a few toons transferred over that were old classics on my original server. I used to play on Pinnacle back in the day. In doing so, I found some real ancient toons.

The one I just transferred over has no IOs of any sort. She's using all SOs. Not only that, some of the SOs are still gray. She has no recipes.

She had no vet rewards claimed. I'm up to 36 now. She must've existed and been played before vet rewards were released.

Logging her in earned me more than 15 badges.

She has 39 free tailor tokens, not counting vet.

She doesn't have an Ouroboros portal, despite being 32.

Her costumes are using outdated texture names (?) and trying to edit them defaults everything to tights.

She has a large pocket full of base salvage. Anyone need Body Armor Fragments, EChips, or Fir Bolg Hands?

I guess I don't have anything nearly as dusty as Dispari on my own account, but that's mainly because I make it a point to log everyone in for holiday badges, etc. While on, I usually try to do at least one mission with the character. So that makes my dustiest character ATM one logged in at halloween.

But in terms of "not played", then it's the two above. The PB is stuck at 12 - and has been for over a year now.

Now my husband's account is another story. I gave up logging all his alts in for badges, just logging in the ones he actually played back in the day. So he has at least a dozen characters that haven't gotten the last 8 or so Vet badges.

Mine was a scrapper, made a while ago: 1886 days offline.

Mine is a 38 Emp/NRG defender, my second toon ever. On Triumph. back when there were other people on Triumph. I made her secondary energy because LOLENERGYPRETTY. This was before I discovered how much people hated knockback. Doesn't matter because she only has the one attack, unslotted.

Pre-ED, all SOs. Pre-salvage. Pre-scale slider. She has a cape, so she's not quite that old. Issue 2 I guess?

my oldest toon would have to be my stone/invul brute. i stopped using it ages back but on rare times (mainly to get the molrsf badge) to play him.

Well, I have a couple of characters on a server where I don't play any more. Both are around level 15.
Dyno Joe - an energy/energy blaster.
Trollkin Samurai - katana/regen scrapper and you can guess what he looks like.

I dusted off an ancient Warshade that I had gotten to the mid-30s (back when they were, like, NEW ATs) with the free server transfers. I was always too lazy to level another one since kheldians were cursed with the hybrids suck syndrome. Kheldians...just sorta suck. PBs even worse than WSs. Had something like 50 free tailor sessions, heh.

maybe i'll finish getting it to 50 on a populated server. At least voids and quantums aren't one-shot kills anymore, and cysts aren't nearly as dangerous anymore.

I have a few in the 1600+ days offline club on random servers from back in the day before I settled on Virtue. As for Virtue itself, I have a Inv/EM Tank that's been shelved for over 60 days and counting.

Gods, I miss EChips.

I've deleted a lot of my abandoned characters, but I do have one that keeps gathering dust, my second-created villain, a level 50 mercs/poison mastermind. It's hard for me to talk myself into deleting a 50, I'm still happy with the concept ... but dear gods, the thing solos worse than a corrupter. I had been keeping it as my PvP character, because it was just lovely in Arena PvP, and looks on paper like it might still be. *shrug* I log it in for a few minutes once or twice a year to update badges and such, but it's desperately in need of a respec.

huggs mchuggins was a goofy character made for an event where everyone tried to make their most gimped characters on freedom. he is sitting at 1767 days unplayed. he was a katana scrapper who only took pool powers, and his look was too insanely mismatched to be random, a work of art by my standards. When coh finally shuts down i plan on popping him on on the last day.

I have an ice tank that I made around Issue 1 or 2 and played to a whoppin level 5. Didnt touch him until I moved him last week. It is hilarious to compare the costumes from back then to now. It like watching an 80s movie with the difference in fashion

I think I have a couple that haven't been touched in a few years.

My original toon was created in early July 04 and has sat at level 8 ever since.

It was an invul/mace tank, and faced with the choice of passive or toggle and no numbers, I took the passive ... d'oh

My second toon was a claws/invul who I picked up again 4 years later and finally got to 50 after 53 months.

Most of the others I've created, have actually been actively played but I do have a few over 1000 days inactive.

Oh the irony.

I think that would be my scrapper on Defiant named: Foxclaw.

No, I don't know what I was thinking when I made him...I like foxes and it is a claws/something scrapper seemed like a logical name.


I also have two toons which I made for friends of mine: Super Layla and Super Kimmie...but those I never played(it was more to make hero versions out of them and show them the screenshots)....and are quite dusty.

I have several in the 1800+ day range, mainly on servers I stopped playing on.

If anyone on Virtue's been waiting the last five years for "Neutron Blast" to open up... totally my bad.

Oldest 'dusty' character is a scrapper sitting at 1925 days offline at the moment.
Also have a now neglected old-school fire tank who I've long left stranded in the Paragon Dance Party.

I have about a dozen that were made within the first 3 months of the game.

Honestly there are some i haven't logged in on in about 4 years. I guess that would count under the "dusty" classification.

I don't really have any inclination to use them though, since i do have pretty much all the salvageable characters i actually want to play dispersed among two servers.

As far as oldest surviving characters, (i've deleted more than i can count) i do have one made in June 2004 and another in July 2004 that i still occasionally take out for a test run. I'm thinking maybe i should create a SG just for the "2004" toons and call it "dusty old farts"!

Fidel From Hell, on Liberty, has not been logged into for 2,049 days.

He had two companions, Undead Lenin and Trotsky Reborn. Both of my friends no longer play the game so they've probably languished for a similar length of time. ^_^
