  1. That is wonderful news! Thank you for getting this addressed!
  2. So, I'm trying to decide what primary to pair with my upcoming staff fighter & wanted something 'natural' that didn't involve playing WP or Invuln for the 50th time.
This lead me to SR, which would be a great fit thematically.

My biggest concern though (among many, admittedly) is the duration of the taunt aura.
City of Data has it listed as a measly 1second.

    http://tomax.cohtitan.com/data/power...flexes.Evasion

That's even worse than WP's miniscule taunt duration. (Though made up by the fact that WP is ridiculously awesome)

In the newest Mids, it's listed as a 2.25second base duration. (and 13.6 for brutes? Whaaat?) I could live with 2.25, but a 1 sec duration would be a deal-breaker for me, I think.

TL;DR: What is the duration of Evasion for Tanks, and can anyone with experience chime in on how well the set performs in practice? Thank you in advance!
  3. I've been having issues too after this latest patch. Game was flawless previously.
Now Iinside missions I see people/mobs walking in place, warping about and other various oddities. I don't notice any lag in chat though.

I thought it may have been my ISP (Comcast) but now I'm guessing it was the patch after all? If so, I hope it's fixed soon.
  4. Aaand the West coast servers are down again. And in the middle of one of the best Mothership raids evar too.

The Rikti are sore-losers, that's what this is!
  5. Looks like Virtue is down again. Hard. Took a few other servers with it this time too. Also crashed the market for servers that are still up.
  6. Outside of a pair of twins, most of my chars have mundane/stupid connections to one another at best.

Couple of examples: in their civvies, my MM and my defender often play & joke with each other in online games. Neither one is aware that their nemesis lies behind the screen.

My corruptor is an android who was reprogrammed to believe it's my scrapper and is trying to replace her in society. The scrapper in question has no idea the android even exists. (yet...)

I'd make more in-depth connections, but it's always been a bit of a bummer to me that the chars would never be able to actually interact with each other.
I've thought for a while now of offering up my remaining char. slots to make chars for others instead. (like, if someone wanted a sidekick/rival/twin/student/whatever) Sadly, I have little faith in my ability to really pull that off, though.

    I'm NOT a dev!!!

At 1st, I read the title as "I'm not a devil!" I clearly need more coffee.
But yeah, like others stated above, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
  8. Oldest 'dusty' character is a scrapper sitting at 1925 days offline at the moment.
Also have a now neglected old-school fire tank who I've long left stranded in the Paragon Dance Party.
  9. This an awesome idea for a thread. I can't believe I didn't see it until now.

My question is about the Nuclear 90.
What year in the CoX timeline were they born? Who or what exactly caused the phenomenon in the 1st place?
Are there any others known aside from Fusionette? What would their origin be gameplay-wise? (I'm assuming mutant)
Is there any limit to the 'variety of super powers' one could have? (like, would an earth user or psychic for example be out of the question?)
Do they experience any negative side-effects for having nuclear reactors for hearts?

So...yeah. I guess that was several questions, many of which are probably silly, so I apologize.
I really like the concept of the Nuclear 90 though, and want to know more. I made a couple in-game myself, and want to make sure I'm not ROFLstomping the lore.

I guess to sum it up, I'd like to know more about the Nuclear 90.

    Thanks!
  10. Wow, lot's of great stories here. (Steelclaw's especially. Well done.)

Like many, I have more than a few characters with tragic bios. I'll post a couple of the older ones I have. Unfortunately, I can't access the game at the moment, so I'm pulling these from my shoddy memory.

    Defender:

Alone in the darkness, a young lady did cry
"I can take this no longer, I just want to die."
Atop an old bridge, while humming a tune,
she bid her farewells under light of the moon.

With one deepened breath, she let go of it all,
preparing herself for her one final fall.
As she decended, she head toward the light,
but something about it just didn't seem right...

The light would soon form to the shape of a dove
and ramble a message of hope and of love.
"Despite what you think, your time's not yet through.
You may not need the world, but the world still needs you."

"Leave me alone, I'm just useless and frail.
My mom is deceased and my dad is in jail-"
Before she could finish, the dove intervened.
"Your hidden potential's the greatest I've seen."

After a moment, the dove's light grew dim.
It's true form revealed the Reaper of Grim.
"Aid me in a task and I shall help you
to unlock your soul and become born anew."

Despite her gut feeling, the girl soon agreed
to capture the cruel so her soul could be freed.

    Stalker:

Once a protector of Crey Industries
their science had help her to cure her disease.
The procedure helped put her back in the fight
despite the unfortunate loss of her sight.

In return she remained in their perma-employ,
but as time came to pass, the job lost all it's joy.
The day would soon come when she told Crey "I'm done!"
But no one stiffs Crey, so they killed off her son.

The girl launced an all out attack onto Crey,
slaughtering all who dare get in her way.
She wasted opponents, no matter how big.
Her solo assault earned a trip to the Zig.

Alone in a cell her mind faded away
until Arachnos broke her out one dark day.
After the breakout, she shared a bleak toast
with her new found employer, the Widow of Ghosts.

Master of stealth and with weapons obscure
she stalks her opponents until they're no more.
With her sanity gone, she now hunts for the thrill.
To maim and to murder. To slay and to kill.
  11. Quote:
    Broadsword.
Not that I wouldn't welcome the other things suggested here, but if I had to pick one, this would be it. I've wanted Broadsword for Brutes for a while.
  12. For what it's worth, here's a quote from the City of Heroes: Issue 16 Comic Con Interview on MMORPG.com

    Quote:
"The summons will take on the color palette of the summoning spell," continued Matt, "and some powers, like energy and fire, will have additive or subtractive colors in the effects." Masterminds, however, will have a larger palette of colors for their pets, and this will not be included at launch of build 16 but will come later on down the line.
  13. [ QUOTE ]
Assuming they've found a way around the "black is transparent" problem, my Electric Melee Brute is getting black electricity.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm honestly hoping that this stays. The prospect of being able to dim some power effects down, especially for more naturally inclined characters, has me most excited about the upcoming customization.

Hasten, I'm looking in your direction.
  14. (QR)

It looks like this was fixed on test in the recent patch. I was able to break up a bio I had previously block'd, (though I had to play 'where's my cursor' a couple times) as well as create a properly formatted bio for a new character.

Please give whoever fixed this a raise.
  15. Oh, how long I've waited for this day. The system they are using is totally generous IMO. Even better is that the slots can be re-ordered now via drag 'n' drop.

Huge thank you to the devs. Their continued hard work to try to bring the players what they want shows that they really do love the subscribers and the game itself. That's what keeps me coming back. Really can't wait for I12 now.

    Again, many thanks devs!
