anyone else having issues after last patch?

I had my first crash ever on my new desktop (basically only has City of Heroes, Elemental, Firefox, Mediamonkey & Office installed) minutes after my first post-patch login.

Then, last night on my first ITF, *inside* every mission I was redlining netgraph most of the way. As soon as we stepped out of the missions, it was fine. Afterwards, I did a few tips - inside 3/5 I also redlined, 2 were fine, and outdoors was always fine.

I've also seen some flickering graphics artifacts that seem to come and go.

Yes I'm getting terrible netgraphs in missions and certain zones, but in other zones it will be flawless. It's pretty frustrating. This happened last double xp weekend to me as well I think, but am not positive.

I've been having issues too after this latest patch. Game was flawless previously.
Now Iinside missions I see people/mobs walking in place, warping about and other various oddities. I don't notice any lag in chat though.

I thought it may have been my ISP (Comcast) but now I'm guessing it was the patch after all? If so, I hope it's fixed soon.

I am also on Comcast (in Portland, OR)...but I was running flawlessly right up until patch time, so I'm more suspicious of the patch.

It looks like it's happening on all 3 of my machines ... with 3 different types of video cards, so it could still be Comcast, but it seems like if it was the ISP it would lag all the time instead of just inside certain missions.

I'm going to try updating my video drivers now just for kicks.

not sure if this is related, but I've been getting a lot of mouse and keyboard input lag. Sometimes the mouse movement sticks randomly and quite often I have to double tap keys for the game to respond.

I've also noticed odd behaviour from mobs such lag warping, getting stuck below the mission map (indoor and outdoor), or inside parts of the terrain or walls - really frustrating on defeat all missions - I either have to petition or reset the mission.

Well, I've had two contact window crashes - one working on an AE arc, one doing the "origin of power" arc - window starts to open, game freezes, "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered," game dies. Both today.

Going to tackle the usual culprits - the machine's well maintained, drivers fairly recent and working fine but I'll look there anyway, just has not done this before, period.

I was having similar troubles. Every time I was on a team and went into a mission my ping would go through the roof and eventually I'd lose connection to the mapserver. At first I just figured it was related to the server load due to xp mania. But I tried again once the server load dropped and the same thing was still happening. Even getting some crazy ping spikes while solo in missions now.

There are a couple other threads about this. Current ATI drivers sound to be the culprit. The advice is to rollback to 10.9 drivers. Sadly, for some (me included), rolling back is not feasible since the new drivers fixed other issues that take precedence over CoX. So till Paragon gets their own fix out, I've got a good handful of now unplayable redside characters. *frown*

I'm thinking at least some of it must have been 2xp server lag of some sort - because when I ran my last ITF @ about 11pm pacific last night I had none of the lag that I had on the previous 5-6 during busier hours. We'll see how it goes now that the servers are back to normal...

Lag aside, I have now had 2 hard crashes since this last patch, compared to 0 before.

I crashed consistently every time I attempted to open a mission in the 30-34 range in Ouroboros. Shutting off the Geometry Buffer option in Ultra Mode settings seems to have fixed it.

I haven't had many network (according to netgraph) issues but I have had frame rate issues.

Although lately there are two missions in the Kahn TF where everyone in the team was having major lag (like ITF "lag hill" lag).

The latest patch actually seemed to help me a little bit on the frame rate issue(s). I've been going back and forth with NCsoft support for about a good three-four weeks trying different things

I been having the same problem with dialog windows causing a crash after updating my ATI drivers to the current ones. That's happened multiple times to me from different sources (Ouroboros, the MA system, contacts inside missions).

Player FX also seems to be causing some problems too; specifically if someone isn't in your field of veiw and suddenly runs into it the game lags while it tries to draw their FX. It's not a long period of lag. Maybe half a second, but it's noticeable if you're not used to playing with lag like that.

Is there any reason why that version (the 10.9 one) is advised over any of the other ones?

I've been having odd framerate issues too, even though my FPS is running around 55FPS in missions and 30fps in crowded outdoor areas. I've had it where my wireless keyboard completely stops responding even though I know for a fact the batteries in it are fully charged. I often get attack power and animation lag spikes, and quite often my mouse sticks or lags.

Now I've been testing this on several of my toons, and I never have this issue on my Bot/Dark MM. I first started to get this issue on my SS/Inv Brute who uses the alternate animations, so I thought that it might be those animations causing issues. But I also experienced this quite a lot over the weekend on my Fire/Fire Dom, DP/Dark Corruptor and Peacebringer - the rest are all fine.

Now the only thing in these laggy toons have in common is they use the new Origin Auras. I've tried dropping resolution and Ultramode settings, and kept checking my FPS for any major fluctuations, but I still get these sticky lag spikes and keyboard/mouse issues.

Now this may not seem totally relevent to the OP, but since the last patch the issues I've been have have gotten more frequent.

Note: I'm running with the nVidia 266.58 drivers

As far as I know because it is the most recent driver that resolves the contact crash issue. Which I'm still having, since I cannot rollback.

My problem is I've had to make the same character twice and with this next time three times because...

In Praetoria, I made a new character and went into the tutorial, chose loyalist and spoke to Marchand, but I never got the level up that he gives after speaking to him, this has happened twice.
