Not sure what to think of it yet. I also paired Staff with SR and it's certainly interesting and that combo seems to work well together but I'll hold off on judgement until I get somewhere around the mid levels as to whether I think this is a keeper.

I do wish there were a few more variations of the staff in the character creation. It took me a while to choose one and make a themed costume around it and I'm sure I'll end up changing it a few more times before I'm through.

I look forward to more levels and powers so I can make a more educated deduction as to Staffs hierarchy on my favorites list.

Seems rather dead, both in the forums and on the server.

I recently came back to COH after a long hiatus and made my first character on Exalted.
Since he is mostly going to solo anyway it shouldn't be a problem but it is a shame to see such a lack of a player base here. Maybe it's just a misconception on my part.

Anyway I am looking to find some in game friends since all the ones in my Global have apparently left, never to return again. It would be nice to know there is life out there...............................somewhere!

Just rolled my first Dark/Dark and I really can't wait to try several other combos as well.

I just recently returned from a long hiatus, don't completely understand all the new stuff yet but the Dark set for Controllers is something I wanted years ago. Curse you choices!

But oh the fun I will have.

Does it count if we stopped playing for a year and a half and just came back?

Honestly i've played off and on since April 2004 and i am a hopeless altoholic. I have well over 100 characters and i've deleted at least that many. I know i have some obscure toons on random servers that i haven't logged into the game in about 4 years.

Wear your altohilism with pride. Some of us can never seem to get it "just right" the first time. Or the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. In fact some of us simply want to experience many different variations of every Archetype. Why? I really don't know other than to say that variety has kept me playing this game off and on for 7 years and i know there are others out there that have done the same.

Oh what joy.

My two biggest gripes have already been mentioned.

(1) "I could care less". (when they obviously mean couldn't)

(2) "loose" when they mean "lose".


Also terms that have been mutated over the generations:

"The want of money is the root of all evil" became "Money is the root of all evil".

"The proof of the pudding is in the eating" became "The proof is in the pudding".

I think i dislike these the most since removing key words completely changes their meanings, making them ridiculous (rediculous) :P

I have about a dozen that were made within the first 3 months of the game.

Honestly there are some i haven't logged in on in about 4 years. I guess that would count under the "dusty" classification.

I don't really have any inclination to use them though, since i do have pretty much all the salvageable characters i actually want to play dispersed among two servers.

As far as oldest surviving characters, (i've deleted more than i can count) i do have one made in June 2004 and another in July 2004 that i still occasionally take out for a test run. I'm thinking maybe i should create a SG just for the "2004" toons and call it "dusty old farts"!

I got to send my fiancee (who lives overseas) the funds to have a nice birthday party for her two year old son. Since this is his first B-Day party ever i thought it would be a nice gift for both of them.

I got to spend time with my elderly, disabled mother and have a nice dinner.

I got to keep my job. (unlike so many others)

In short, i got everything i wanted in the immediate future and for that i'm truly blessed.

I just want to post in an uber thread.

MA makes congressional leaders raise taxes to support bills that are both wasteful, and doomed to failure, thus increasing our already unmanageable national debt.

It also supports various tyrannical regimes, refuses to use "dolphin safe" nets, promotes social strife among the poor, and mocks pie while shouting "let them eat cake!"

I once heard that MA dated Britney Spears then went on an all night orgy/drunk-fest, capped off by a police chase, assaulting a Papparazi, and urinating on the famous "Hollywood" sign.

Ma holds the world record for most consecutive belches in a row.


It is without a doubt............................the most interesting thing on earth.

I'm having the same thoughts about mine.

I love them both (and i've played them both extensively) but for sheer fun i prefer the Fire/SD. Nothing like starting every mob with a build up, shield charge, then a fire sword circle. It is my hands down favorite for obliterating mobs.

I'd second this if you simply want to solo. Nothing like baking the BP (Banished Pantheon) for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
(Not to mention it's a great stress reliver)

If you just want fast, where fun really isn't a prerequisite then farming with others is probably your cup of tea.

Earth is still among the tops in locking down multiple mobs and making difficult mission insanely easy for teammates.

Theres nothing like juggling 3 mobs at a time while your teammates giggle hysterically while annhilating everything in their path.

Yes Earth is still the bees knees.

Quad core, probably a bare minimum of 750 gigs HD space, (preferably a 32 mb cache if it's a 7200 RPM drive) and i was leaning toward Intel.

3 grand is exactly the cap i was looking at for building my new comp too.

Although i already have many ideas on how to spend that i would welcome anyone else's opinions on a great gaming rig for that price.

Don't know if the OP was interested in buying the parts and assembling it themselves but that's exactly what i will do.

Interested in hearing others opinions.

Also, i do remember twixt. I hated PVP but some of my friends ventured to the zones and universally despised the guy.
