This is awesome!
Finally, I can get my toons off Freedom and move them to a server I'll actually enjoy playing on!
And I won't go broke doing it, hehe.
Losing faith in humanity, one person at a time.
Wow, 200.00 dollars too late. Guess I can finally move my scragglers.

Then check for names.
Then move your characters and delete the random one.
There was a little issue with the Knowledge Base not displaying the full Character Transfer FAQ, this should now be fixed.

Very cool! I've wanted to move some characters around but the only thing stopping me was the cost. Now I can move a handful of characters I really like to my home server of Victory and then move around some of my less frequently played characters to a "B-team" server.

I know it's not the intention of this gift, but it also provides for a free character rename. If I understand this correctly, I can create a character with the same name as an existing toon on another server. I can then transfer my previous existing toon to the server with the new one. My old character will receive a generic name and a free rename token. I can use the rename token and then transfer the renamed character back to the original server... and all for free!

Numbers....

nope. It seems as though the test server rules apply.

So, you'll have to get another player to make the Name Blocker.

Biggest Troll on the forums? I'll give you a hint:
I figured that I would check to see if I even had any characters on other servers that I would want to move (I had purged a bunch a long time ago), and found that I had one that hadn't been logged into for 698 days. I remembered the build and moved it.
Thank you for the free server transfer, Paragon Studios... now this character may have a chance to grow on my home server

This is wonderful news! I was so eager to transfer a character over to Freedom to start establishing myself there and now I find that I can do it for free?!

Even if its for a limited time with caveats, I can (temporarily) live out my dream of a serverless COH inspired by the disclaimer brought about when server transfers were first made available.
Here's hoping that most players won't use it to permanently move to Freedom or Virtue! 
Thank you soooooo much NCSoft/Paragon Studios! I'm going to be putting this gift to good use. Now I can go ahead with my new alt plans without languishing over A) spending over $100 on transfers or B) having to delete characters. Is it time for GR yet?

The people having numbers added to their character names: Are you sure you didn´t get a rename token? Because I did get them.

Gang, this is how it's working for me. For a long time I avoided Freedom because of the PvP/newbie/got-to-be the biggest stigma, oh and the incredible lag. I sit down and look at my characters across a number of servers and I see that I will be migrating lesser played, solo/experimental characters to low population servers and to Virtue and Freedom for the GR gig and to set up new groupings with sprinklings of heroes and villains across the servers I don't usually play. I know not everyone is the same as me, but I suspect other players will do the same. This strategy frees up more character slots on all servers I already play. In short, I am very much convinced this will boost character populations on low population servers.

And since there are so many free transfers available (6 per week), you can move one off the full to some other server to bring in a new one.
