Quote:Honestly? No. It's called being facetious. Yes the subs are somewhere around 100-150k, which is still a guess due to a lack of transparency since the end of 2008. And I am aware that the peak number of subs online at the same time (in-game) was around 17-20k in 2008. Here on the forums though, I seem to recall only seeing about 3k on at the same time. Apparently I wasn't here on the 29th either and missed the gathering of over 10 thousand of you fellow forumites. My initial question, "Anybody seen numbers this high before?" has been answered.Actually, it was listing 2244 members, so even farther from 120k.
i'm surprised any servers at all are still online if Echonis honestly believes that the game has less than 5,000 subscribers. -
Just seems odd to me. I don't ever recall seeing this many people on the forums. It would be nearly all active subscriptions on at the same time (I'm guessing since we don't get to see sub numbers anymore). -
Would be good to know, seeing as they either dropped again or never came back up. I could play on another server, but that would be sacrilege.

Same issue. Not sure if it has to do with earlier mention of "Market Spam", but restarting the client didn't work for me. Will try rebooting system when I get home as someone else recommended, but not sure how that will help an apparent interface problem. Worth a shot I suppose.
-
I also have the same issue with the grayed out "Get". Can't pull any of my purchases off the market. The "Post" also doesn't work to sell, but I too have been able to sell by entering the price and pressing the enter key. It was able to get purchases I made that were hanging over before the update, but all new purchases won't budge. Also, for some reason the "Bidding" and "Selling" numbers aren't showing on the items I have listed. I can search for the items and find it that way, but it takes more time. I need that information when crafting so I know whether or not to make a lvl 30, 35, or 40 enhancement. Don't want to throw 20 lvl 35s on the market if 50 of them are already selling. Needless to say, with both issues my crafting has ground to a halt.

After 8 hours of leaving it run, this is what I'm looking at now.
-
Well, thought I would check out the new graphics myself. I recently purchased a new PC, and this update was a large part of my reasoning. Windows 7 64bit, and I'm having the same problem. After the download stalled several times yesterday, I started it over and disabled my powersaver settings and firewall. Figured I could let it run in the background for a day. Unfortunately, I woke up this morning and the updater had closed itself. I started it again, and it says that it's fixing a sound file in the pigg files. Download speed is flatlined at 0kb/sec. I already downloaded the game onto this machine, so it definitely is specific to the test server. Surely someone has come across this and found a fix.

A few nameplates for some SG mates and myself.
That's it for now. If I get more time I'll add more to this. -
Just for fun... after the Martial Arts Booster Pack was announced.

And here's the old States and LR done for the City Scoop in 2008.
-
I just finished this a few weeks ago. There's only a handful of CoX based projects I've undertaken. I stepped off quite a bit from the detail of my first one with Statesman and Lord Recluse reading the City Scoop. Hope you guys like this shot at my main

I know it's not the intention of this gift, but it also provides for a free character rename. If I understand this correctly, I can create a character with the same name as an existing toon on another server. I can then transfer my previous existing toon to the server with the new one. My old character will receive a generic name and a free rename token. I can use the rename token and then transfer the renamed character back to the original server... and all for free!

Quote:No reason the bike can't orientate right or left under the rider depending on what direction you move. Say the rider wants to strafe left, the rear tire burns a little rubber and goes left with the rider still looking straight out. Turn on a dime? A good enough rider can turn two wheels on dime with ease. Since power customization the devs have set the bar pretty high on pulling off what was once thought to be near impossible. Plus, we can dream can't we?That's one of the problems when these things come up. People think "Bike!" and assume that forward run is all you'll ever do, but if it can't strafe and turn on a dime, it'd be a pretty crappy travel power, and if it CAN, it'd be a very SILLY travel power. Bikes and other vehicles need an entire new subsystem to handle them. You can't just plop down a bike and expect regular in-game running to handle that.

How much does Matt Miller like Ninjas?

Making it work with all the body types, sizes, costume pieces, etc, etc without horrible clipping issues would be a huge undertaking. As has been shown in the past, just because it works on NPCs with limited numbers of scripted animations doesn't mean it'll work on PCs with a far wider range to be concerned with. The Bruiser summon is just a brief, scripted animation...

Can't give up my SG signature, but I'll send recruits your way

-
And I was so hoping for something like this. Similar in function to the prestige sprints, but a motorcycle or some vehicle that a 'natural' hero would be likely to use. I guess a motorcycle could be ninja in a Spike Lee sort of way. I also thought the in-game temp power flight and jump packs would be cool for a natural booster pack. Strictly as a costume piece of course. A lot I could do with a raptor pack or Goldbricker pack. Oh well. -
I always thought it would be cool if a spawn showed up in a SG base everyday that there were not at least five SG members logged in. There would have to be a limit to how many filled the base, but you could potentially come back from a six month absence and have to fight to regain control of your base. It always seemed fitting to have a challenge for heroes to face on their return to the game/base. Just throwing it out there.

Q: Tell us about the new powersets and changes to the existing sets? Will Issue 13 offer something for everyone?
...
FG: Issue 13 offers two new powersets for players to use: Shields, a defensive powerset for Brutes, Scrappers and Tankers, and Pain Domination, a buff/debuff powerset available to Corruptors and Masterminds. The Shields set is being made primarily in response to hero player requests to fulfill a character theme, while Pain Domination is being made in response to villain player requests for a villainous version of the Empathy powerset.
[/ QUOTE ]A simple 'no, but there is this stuff' would have sufficed in answer to that question.
[/ QUOTE ]
Meh, as with most offers you can take it or leave it, but it's still available (i.e. offered). I'm a base builder myself, and disappointed that we didn't get a new editor or even a z-axis tool. That said, I look forward to the Day Job system and shield powerset among other things . I'll even be giving PvP another try.

LOL, I completely sprayed Mountain Dew all over my monitor at work when I read this.Fortunately, I'm not the only one who uses it, so I can shirk responsibility for it. Although, a simple "That's all gray to me" would be more Posi style.

ALL I want is a simple bind for a War Shade to press 1 key and have the toon got to nova with a specific tray selected that I can put the powers into for that form .the same for dwarf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yah, it's out there. The Kheldian AT guides are the best place to find this stuff. Some of it gets complicated, but the most basic I feel is taken from Justaris' guide.
[ QUOTE ]
A quick note on binds: If youre going to switch between the forms in battle, youre not going to want to go hunting for your powers. I recommend you place all your Dark Nova powers in tray 3, your Black Dwarf powers in tray 4, and use trays 1 and 2 for your human powers. You can then use binds to shift your form and your active power trays at the same time. Example:
/bind NUMPAD2 powexec_toggle_on Dark Nova$$goto_tray 3
/bind NUMPAD3 powexec_toggle_on Black Dwarf$$goto_tray 4
/bind NUMPAD1 powexec_toggle_off Dark Nova$$powexec_toggle_off Black Dwarf$$powexec_name Gravity Shield$$goto_tray 1

Amazing!! I was so envious when I saw her peek and roll around the corner. I wish we could play that way. And the bomb at the end! WoW!! Well, don't want to spoil it for everyone else. As always, a work of art with a style that plays through 'til the end, Michelle
Best of luck in the contest.

SG Name: Judges of Echonis
SG Leaders: Echonis, ZapMan, Acoustic Aurora
SG Website (if any): Judges of Echonis (Guild Portal Site)
SG Recruiters: ALL MEMBERS. It has been a long standing belief that the more friends we have in the SG, the more likely everyone is to get a long. For this reason, anyone in the group can recruit new Judges.
Teamspeak/Ventrillo Server: Ventrillo (Information available to members only)
SG Peak Hours: Usually around noon and again at 6PM - 10PM PST
Other Info: The Judges of Echonis was originally formed as a solo SG. It was my expirement in the base building since it seemed I would never get a chance in other SGs. I was instantly hooked! I have lost no less than 200 hours remodeling the base. Since January of 2007, the group has steadily grown and is now ranked 29 on the Justice Server. Despite this achievement, we are still a very laid back group. Members are free to fight in SG mode, wear the member voted costume & colors, or... not do any of the above. There are no requirements other than that you be courteous to all players in the group and coalition. If you want to know more about us, then check out the Judges of Echonis on guildportal.com. We even have pics of the base and some of our most active membersHope to see ya in game!
