Double XP weekend?

I remembered a post from Niviene ( http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=184083 ) about another double XP weekend....so did I miss any announcement about it or did they forget about it?

P.S. I did a search for this but couldn't find anyone else posting about it, so if they did then sorry!

dude you really want double xp?
told you in game the xp's coming scary fast these days (at least scary to me)
really dunno if i want my 40s to go by in a matter of days as opposed to weeks

*grumbles* If one of you US server players mention how much fun your having in your double xp weekend, we EU players will invade your servers!

Question: Would it be deemed offensive if a whole bunch of EU players got trial accounts and hosted an "invasion" style event on your servers?

damz... do it.. we welcome all invasions... as long as you invade with cake.

i also have been wondering about the double xp. but im not rushing for anything enjoying what we have now(which is pure epic awesome)

I don't know... The way I read it, I would find this to be an entirely awesome event in which I'd HAVE to be at.

They have an uncanny knack for announcing the things for when I'll have the whole weekend off to play.

Unfortunately, I loathe 2XP weekend, the lag, the manic completely unrelaxing style of most teams, the way it makes the market go nuts for the next week or so, the whole mess, and usually take the weekend off from playing the game. If I log in at all, it'll be to work on my VG base while hidden from searches, with all chat channels removed from my display.

Everybody else though, I really do hope you have a great time!

[edited to add] a server could be locked and people will still cry it.

ZOMG only Freedom is Locked, and Virtue isn't, the game is DYING.

or

ZOMG only two servers are locked, merge the rest of them now. Queuing is good, when I want toplay I want a server filled to beyond capacity such that you have to wait to even have a chance of teamign with me...


Heck even if every single server was locked during the double XP weekend, I'd lay pounds to pence that within a fortnight we would have a 'game is dying' type thread.

Not for me I have to give work at least a 2 week notice to request vacation time. Still gonna try tho, and then there are no guarantees I will get the time off since it's the weekend before inventory. Man, I really don't want to go over there on my day off to fill out the paperwork but if I want he days off I guess I better. Plus I won't get my vacation check for 2 weeks so I will have to watch my pennies. but I can deal with that.

Virtue seems to be the popular server these days, more and more. I'm wondering if it'll be locked?

Ah well. That's why I have a 50 on Victory too, I guess.

I'm hoping that with the reactivatin weekend, some of the folks I've sent global tells to about names will be around to actually get them, and free them up for me!
