Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

I just hope they explain at some point how in heck this thing is any kind of Clockwork. No Clockwork I've ever seen, Praetorian or otherwise, looks like that. Maybe the marketing team for GR messed up, thinking that Praetorian Clockwork didn't already exist?
I think we should ignore almost everything we know about the Praetorians from the old arcs we have right now - they show their world as rather beat up and run down, but the new version seems to be making everything look "perfect" on the outside.
Apart from Tyrant's throneroom, there are no unique Praetorian maps - so the current vibe Praetoria gives off is of an identical world to our one, but with villains as the main force instead of heroes - and that's increased by the use of normal Paragon citizens for Mother Mayhem's follows, and reskinned clockwork and so on - which works fine for the current concept of Praetoria.
But now it seems like the devs have decided to give Praetoria a totally new look and feel - they even mentioned that they've been working out what events from real history would have been changed or even never happened in the Praetorian timeline - so rather than just making everything a mirror, with the only noticable difference being heroes as villains, they look like they're going for a deeper and more complex alternative Earth idea.

This. It appears that the devs have finally decided to stop presenting evil as equaling drab, dirty and depressing. Going Rogue appears to finally really explore morality and I for one cannot wait.

The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.

It's sort of the Star Wars style - beat up and run down = heroes, clean and gleaming = evil Empire

That means it's just like the freakshow costume. A power toggle that completely replaces your model/costume.

Which I have zero desire for.

I want the torso, the shoulder pieces and the gloves.

Perhaps the pieces will be available with GR once it goes live since we saw the gloves in game during beta.

What's more: Those gloves only showed up on the Huge body selection. That costume power doesn't use the huge model.

So I've still got some hope.
YEAH I WANT THE PARTS! They would work on my broken down robot hero Rusty Parts! But the whole body wouldn't work I want the parts. And what with the blue color? How about shiny grey/silver or brass.

You might be able to unlock them by completing the Anti-Matter TF

Okay, while Anti-Matter and Neuron robots are called Clockworks, they have only the name identical to our Prime Clockworks. In fact, Praetorian Clockworks are real robots.

Prime Clockworks are not robots. They are only "toys" that should not move, fly, fight, or otherwise. They are merely animated by the psychic powers of the Clockwork King, a mad psychic who thinks he is the greatest robotician ever.

Why the Praetorian Clockworks looked like Prime Clockworks in game? Maybe they were designed quickly by modifying existing art and so on back then when Peregrine Island was introduced, who knows. Those new Praetorain Clockworks look awesome compared to the old ones anyway. I'm just hoping we can get those pieces eventually in game as costume options... I need that torso for one of my brute.

Maybe it's just me but when I saw the image I thought of Sark, the main villain in Tron.

I really like the way this Praetorian Clockwork looks and can't wait to see what the other new groups in Going Rogue will be like.

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

So far, the background info has mentioned Mother Mayhem's Seers (something similar to the Fortunatas?), and Tyrant's Praetorian Guard (some sort of elite superpowered bodyguards?) - so I'm guessing those will replace the Maniacs and the street thugs, although the Maniacs might still feature in MMs asylum, assuming they keep that, and the street thugs would still be ok as followers of Marauder, I think.

Here's my speculation: the Praetorian Clockwork King is either:

1: More in touch with his powers, and reshapes the metal that forms his constructs into a more humanoid looking form rather than leaving them as walking junkpiles.

2: A genuine engineering genius who has built an actual, working army of replicating robots rather than just telekinetically faking it. If he has psi powers at all, they are for controlling/building the Clockwork rather than animating them.

Of course, I'm assuming that Clockwork is the creations of Anti-Matter, not a "Praetorian Clockwork King".

Maybe he is/was a robotics genius, and Tyrant wanted to use his knowledge to build a robot army to help enforce his rule, but the Praetorian CK refused to help, so the Praetorian Blue Steel was sent to capture him, and he was almost killed like the CK on our world, and Tyrant promised him a robotic body in exchange for his help in making a robot army.
But once Tyrant had the tech, he broke his promise, and the Praetorian CK is now kept as just a brain in a jar in some vault of a Praetorian lab, in case they need to use his knowledge again.

For extra fun, the Praetorian Blue Steel could have been badly hurt in the fight with the CK, and was made into a Robocop style cyborg, and now runs the security force that patrols the Praetorian capital.

That looks pretty sweet. I will be heading to San Francisco at the end of October, but unfortunately it will be just a few days after hero-con ends. This whole exclusivity thing kinda bites.
Count me in as another who would love to have the costume parts to play with.

Maybe that's a diverting point? Blue Steel lost. Impossible here, but in a world where hings are opposite? Almost a certainty. The the Clockwork King became Chief of Police. Because that twist is too good not to do.

And it's blue...a traditional police color. You may have it! Perhaps Praetoria is policed by a vast army of Clockwork!

I like it...suggests a graphical update which I consider sorely needed.

But, of course, I'm miffed that it's not available to us all.

I'm wondering why no one has yet noticed that this guy has both blue and silver parts.

2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.

I thought this as well. Model looks really good and the details aren't bad as well, very sharp.
Gets me really excited to see GR

I can see that.

Actually, he reminds me a bit of the late actor Karl Malden, but more angular in the face.

Cool costume and, IMO, better than the Cyborg costume from the Booster Pack. I'd pay for this -- if it were a real costume, which could be customized and used in pieces, not one of those toggles that I have no use for.

I'm only ladylike when compared to my sister.

You're mistaken. We have, to date, never seen actual Praetorian Clockwork.

We've seen Antimatter's and Neuron's robots which look like our Clockwork, but those are not Clockwork.

We've also seen Psychic Clockwork from another dimension, but those aren't from the Praetorian dimension.

All in all, WOW. That looks freakin' awesome. Sexy Jay just keeps churning out the good stuff. I can't wait to see those things in-game. Also... I have intense want for that chest/torso piece. That thing is sooo pretty!

Here's hoping GR will also bring a multitude of new pieces to the character creator.
