If they won't pay a salary or periem, why not free time cards?

Sam's videos are the best video advertising ths game has. The official videos are [Brawl] compared to Sam's [Nova].

We get issue 16 and a new Samuraiko vid for it as well. Now that goes a long way to making the world a little bit of a better place.

I just watched it, and I got to say...

About the slickest and most professional output you've had. Very very well done technically.

And I got a little school girl when you used the black-and-white with the color blending/fading in trick early after we talked it about months ago.

Overall, well done, Samuraiko/Dark_Respite/Michelle.

City of Heroes was my first MMO, & my favorite computer game.

Took John and me like nine tries to get that right. We'd shoot, I'd miss. We'd shoot, he'd miss. We'd shoot and do such massive knockback that it ruined the shot. Finally, I was like "all right, we're trying ONE MORE TIME!" That's the shot that ended up in the vid.

Even if I knew who the hiringmanagerpersonthing for Paragon Studios was, that still wouldn't matter.

Please allow me to set the record straight right now.

I have applied to Paragon Studios no less than three times in as many years. I have done my best to make contacts within the company and within the industry as a whole, done research online to learn more about the industry, and pushed my limits to keep improving my work. I have made it QUITE clear that I would crank out videos for COH (commercials, cutscenes, tutorials, how-tos, you name it) as the day is long, if given the opportunity. Up to and including bringing my own software, making all my own contacts in the music and voice talent industry, and even moving to Mountain View AT MY OWN EXPENSE.

And unfortunately, ever since Lighthouse left, I have lost my most vocal champion at PS. (As a group, the rednames may enjoy my work, but Alex was my biggest fan, bar none.)

In short, I have tried. Repeatedly. And I have failed. Repeatedly.

Ok, so I get back in here after a grueling week of classes. I see the Dev's Official Vid and think "What is the artistic design here?" It really doesn't show off what has been done in Issue 16.

Then I go to the source I know will never disappoint. Samuraiko completely nails the essence of Issue 16, catalogues the changes so elegantly, and blows the Dev Vid so far outta the water that it devolves from its gills into a mouth breather.

Waking up to find THAT compliment waiting for me was a great way to wake up. Thanks, Shadow!

Still, I do think that David and his team have been getting better and better at making videos that have more 'oomph', as it were. Just more of a challenge for me!

As always, an excellent video. I was so glad to see you come out of retirement and make a video for I16. You never disappoint, and in that respect, your win streak has continued. Congrats.
