Samuraiko Movie for Issue 16

Some folks are trashing the official vids here.

Really, what's wrong with the movies NCSoft has produced? Especially the latest ones? You don't need to trash the official content just because you like Samuraiko's. Some of you seem to think one has to be awesome and the other sucks, rather than both being genuinely good.

Maybe they won't hire her because of job security worries for the official video makers? Nothing threatens job security, promotions, salary, bonuses, etc than one worker shining like a diamond while their coworkers are still stones in the rough.

The official videos are okay with the exception of the Captain Amazing videos that made me cringe and want to play another game. They absolutely stunk. They didn't sell the game at all.

And that's my opinion.

That's okay, Michelle. I'll just keep pitching myself for the Issue 17 or GR trailer you're bound to make.

No need to feel mopey, you're stuff makes alot of us happy.

I would have to include the I'm a Hero/I'm a Villain in the latter category. The idea behind these ads is NOT to be clever, but to make folks that know nothing about the game want to play it, and buy a subscription.

If you watched Captain Amazing or I'm a Hero..., you come away knowing exactly nothing about how the game plays, unless you already know it. Reaching the Reached is not the idea.

The Samuraiko videos highlight gameplay and the attractive plot elements in a manner that makes you want to participate.

The i16 product from her is in keeping with its predecessors. As a stand-alone enticement, it is not as strong since many of the major aspects are cool simply because you have to know the before and after, ie, "Oh, you can have RED LIGHTNING now instead of a standard color? Cool!" But compared to Captain Amazing or I'm a Hero..., there is just no contest.

(Insert obligatory "POWERS THAT BE: HIRE THIS GAL NOW!" here)

Hey, just planning out a hero in Mids is an accomplishment for ME, so I like to give a shout-out to Samuraiko (and Mids!) for efforts that obviously require tons of work and for which they receive no reward other than whatever compliments are generated.

NC Soft doesn't know what they are missing. I do think the devs know what they are missing.

As to the employment thing, I am overqualified for the jobs I'm applying to all over the country and yet, nobody is even showing remote interest. Just keep plugging away and somebody is bound to realize just how talented you are.

I am absolutely LOVING the soundtrack to the I16 trailer- I can dance to that like nobody's business. Where can I get a copy of that track?

Yeah, yeah, I'm double posting, but this couldn't really wait. I waited for a while to see Sam's latest video. It took the better part of an hour to download, so now I'm feeling rather ripped-off. Yes, I said that. I swear, for something like that to take so long to download... nothing can describe the rage I feel right now. Paragon Studio's trailer was better than usual, but only took about 2 mins to download. For one of Sam's vids to have such a long download time... I tell ya, someone's gonna get a real nasty e-mail from me.













I thought my internet service was better than that.

I want the uber-awesomeness of Samuraiko vids streaming into my computer as fast as possible. I want to be so overwhelmed by the continual coolness of her vids that I won't say anything dorky for a year. Having to wait for so long for a video to download, especially one of Sam's videos totally ruins my mindset. I go from sheer joy and wonder at the fantasticness of the video to foaming-at-the-mouth irritation that I have to wait forever for another one to download. I currenty have SBC Global as my ISP, so if anyone knows of a way to make it faster (I can't change it due to the whole family being on this plan) please let me know!

I, along with legions of other forum-goers, enthusiastically request more vids from the best CoH/CoV video artist that I've ever come across (FYI, 42 month game vet and counting). Keep up the good work Sam!

(Sorry if that first bit had anyone worried {especially you, Sam }, but, if you've seen Sam's stuff and heard my other fan-rants about her, then you'd have known that this was kind-of a practical joke. If it was too offensive, I apologize and promise that this was a one-time thing as far as I can tell. I'm a rather whimsical person with a demented sense of humor, so I never know when I'm going to do something like this. After dealing with myself for almost 20 years, you'd think that I'd have better self-control.)

Having now tracked some of the stats on my I-16 trailer, some folks are posting/embedding my video on their blogs or on forums to tell people what Issue 16 is really like. That is cool. Always nice to know that people have mentally linked my videos with the game that strongly.
