Bless you for the effort! But didn't I hear you are job hunting? I'm thinking my viewing pleasures for a Friday deadline are not anywhere near as important as that.

You heard correctly - I'm currently unemployed, and have been job searching for the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the current economy is making that EXCEEDINGLY difficult, even with all my qualifications.

Still, that's sort of how I was able to make a trailer for Issue 16 - I finally had the time. And it helped take my mind off the fact that my job search is going nowhere. *shrugs*

Personally, I wouldn't suggest threatening kneecaps. It doesn't have the same effect anymore.

What you do is this: Tie the man down to a chair in a dark and cold room. Pull up a chair and sit facing him. Don't say anything. Yet.

Have two rather large and scary men walk into the room, one with a railroad tie, and the other with a sledge hammer. Have the first place the railroad tie over the little toe of your victim's right foot. Have the second hit this railroad tie with the sledge hammer. The first man now moves the railroad tie to the second smallest toe on that foot.

I'd like to think I could get hired on the basis of my qualifications, not because of a player uprising or threats of bodily harm...

And guys, I really do appreciate the support, but the rednames have NO say over who gets hired. At best (and even this is a guess), they MIGHT be able to put in a good word for me, but if the Powers That Be don't want me, then nothing the playerbase says or does is going to change that fact.

There's actually a poll on my LiveJournal at the moment about what my next video project should be.

The choices are:

  • A music video done to "(Do You Wanna Date My) Avatar" (and believe it or not, after much hoop jumping, YES, I got official permission from the Guild to make said video)
  • The GOING ROGUE teaser (this one will be a bit harder, but manageable)
  • My comedy video CoVIDEOHELL (if you've seen AMV HELL, you get the idea)
  • The first of the Freedom Phalanx: Genesis series (Synapse's video, and another instance where I got official permission from a band to use one of their songs in a video of mine)

Even if you're not an LJ member, you can at least leave an anonymous comment on the entry with your forum handle and cast your vote. (People have also been submitting their votes via Twitter... I'm there, of course, as @Samuraiko)
