Most abused costume piece..

Most of the Cyborg pack shoulders, the Valkyrie cloak and belt (and lately the shoulders/gloves/boots too), Large Robotic gloves, the Samurai chestpiece and "belt", the assassin/ninja face/mask, and the male face with green eyes (Face 7?) have all been used many times on my characters.

Aside from that I really try not to overuse anything.

I use Assassin Mask a lot as well. Mostly it's since often I don't like the expression on the lower half of the face and find it better to just cover it up so you can just imagine what it might be for yourself.

If I use the female scarred face that has the closed eye, I cover up the lower half with a mask too. For some reason that face gives her a slightly open mouth, and it just doesn't look good to me.

Capes, i rush my characters to 20, because i can't stand to look at them without one...

I think an armored dragon-girl would be a right nifty idea.

Justice Gloves w/Plate, Mimee hairstyle, Work boots, Motorcycle boots... that's it. >.>

Oh, I forgot the Mimee hairstyle. Works just as well as Posh for not clipping with capes/jackets. I have a weakness for Posh just because of the way the primary/secondary colors tint it, though. Love the 'highlights' effect.

I like the Motorcycle Boots as it's one of the few female options that doesn't have silly high heels built into it.

Same here. I also put a Tech Monocle over the scarred eye.

Where you spying on me when I made my Earth Control/Earth Assault Dominator?

One of the female faces - I think its Face 11 or 13? A lot of my characters have/had that face until more faces came out in Issue 15.

  1. Chains, single strand or multi, around the neck.
  2. Neck cover. If the same color as the top, it makes a nice mock turtleneck. If a contrasting color, and especially under a textured top, it gives the illusion of a shirt layered underneath. If used with a solid colored scarf, it makes an elegant wrap.
  3. Face 14. What Eis calls "the stern blue eyes".
  4. Stillettos and glam hair.

Layered shoulder pads....when I first I saw them in CoV Beta I instantly knew that's what most of my characters were missing .

I also tend use the tucked in Cargo pants with Combat boots a lot, the Enforcer Visor as well.

Female Young Face 11, Fingerless Gloves, Uniform Jacket w/ Sleeves, Chinese Pants, Combat Boots. Hard to find a character of mine that doesn't have at least one of those.

Having Vengeance and Fallout slotted for recharge means never having to say you're sorry.

I forgot government glasses. I detest the look of eyes so I always use those.

Every female character I make has at least one outfit that includes the Bridal & Lace Top + Gloves and a bridal style miniskirt. I like textured dresses as opposed to the painted on older outfits and the ONLY textured dress that has gloves to go with it is the bridal dress. The witch outfit does match up but I hate the boots and the rest just looks way to slutty for my taste.

I also frequently combine the Bridal & Lace top, bridal gloves and bridal skirt with a sleeveless Wedding tux and strappy shoes - makes for a formal, opera style look.

My most abused male outfit is a the thief hood + baroque pattern full body tights for a wraith/spectre look.

EDIT: Oh - for female faces I pretty much always use supernatural face 4 or hostile face1 - I can't stand any of the others, to bland. For male faces my favorite currently is supernatural face 2 with a van **** or magician beard.

What costume piece can you not stay away from? Are you down right addicted to it...?
Well, everyone over here has Monstrous hands, because I hate the "oven mitt" look.

As far as an actual "most abused" costume piece, not sure what its called, but its a female "tights" option pattern on the plain tights that makes it look like female characters have a bad case of Plumber's Butt. I know guys think this is the end-all ['scuse the pun] be-all of Sexy, but to me it just looks stupid. So I deem this the actual Most Abused Costume Piece.

The one that scoops down to show off the... uh, tailbone? I'm pretty sure that's Excess. Aptly-named, if you ask me.

For me, it's definitely the Serrated Sugar hair for females. Best looking hair, in my opinion.

Capes.

While they are iconic to the genre, they do not fit the concept of every character nor do they improve every character's appearance.
Does your average street scrapper need a cape? Does that cape need to be the long, flowing one?

While I'm usually the last to say no to a new costume piece, I've shied away from capes recently, just too much for some alts.

Heh, if we're talking about what costumes we see other players use a whole lot, the Organic shoulders have to be up there on the list. Those are the ones with the "fingers". If there's a hood on the character as well, the likelihood of Organic shoulders increases significantly, and if the color scheme is black and red, it's about 99%.

Capes used to be on practically everyone, whether the outfit looked good with them or not, but that's calmed down a bit.

My new favorite face is Face 20 (all my characters are female, so this is Female Face 20) and I am likely going to change all of the costume slots to this face on most of my girls.

I also like the Star Eye face detail or the Monocle, both used with the single eye Combat Aura.

I'm also with Zek, the Tribal belt is awesome, unless she's in armor, in which case it's the Enforcer belt or the Tactical with Ampules.

Lotsa Thigh High boots as well.

Glam Hair, V belt, Thigh High Boots, the Leather Bustier, Large Robotic Gloves, Enforcer Gloves. Winged Headband (I like the way the front parts frame the face)...

Obviously, not all on the same costume, that would be silly. Unless my name was Rian Frostdrake
