Anyone can get started. It's so easy.
Bravo. I'm to much of a casual player to have figured this out.
I usually just rely on selling the salvage and recipes that drop for whatever I can get at WW.
That way I'm earning more slots, working on WW badges and I usually end up with well over a million by the time I get ready for SO's at level 22.
Doing it your way would save me the trouble of listing every junk salvage I get while still increasing my bank flow.

Capt. Biohazrd - PCSAR
Talsor Tech - Talsorian Guard
Keep Calm & Chive On!
I did this with a level 10 WS and earned a little over 5 million in about 5 hours.
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

Making money is easy. Overcoming over 2 years of myths, misconceptions and outright lies about the market to convince people of this is the hard part.

If like me you have more vetspecs than you know what to do with, or have a freespec spare, there is a further wrinkle. Once you have 50K, buy 10 49-53 SOs at WWs for 5K or less each. Respec and sell them for full shop price (500K+ if you buy the right ones). This gets you enough capital to do some more serious stuff on the markets if that's your plan.
It's true. This game is NOT rocket surgery. - BillZBubba
Nice post but no matter how many times we post the same stories in different ways there are many people who would just rather complain than make the easy money
Grats? Sure it can be done as long as you love traveling back and forth to WW as opposed to doing other in-game things.

But the OP was explaining how to get a decent starting bankroll for a new character. He explained how it's not hard and it doesn't take too much time. Do you remember being so broke you couldn't afford to fully SO your character until he was in his high 20s or early 30s? I sure do. The OP was kind enough to share a straightforward technique to create a nest egg for a new character. Why you feel compelled to damn it with faint praise, I don't understand.
Freedom: Blazing Larb, Fiery Fulcrum, Sardan Reborn, Arctic-Frenzy, Wasabi Sam, Mr Smashtastic.
Let me post another of the usual disclaimers: If everyone did this, it wouldn't work.
The corollary is, of course, that we'll never get everyone to do it.

If "this" is "making half a million every time you log your character in", it wouldn't work.
If "this" is "scavenging up half a million or a million by the time you hit level 12", it will work just fine. One level 50 who sells all their junk at Wents (for 11 inf or whatever) once will, approximately, pay for one level 6 to get their starting bankroll.
Mini-guides: Force Field Defenders, Blasters, Market Self-Defense, Frankenslotting.
So you think you're a hero, huh.
@Boltcutter in game.

Maybe, when making a Hotpocket, he glares at the microwave, taps his foot impatiently and mutters, "Come on... come on... I haven't got all day!"

Why you so stupid!!?? You not hungry for girl! You hungry for HOT POCKET!!
LOL. I will prolly keep posting stupid posts as long as these posts are made. Everyone knows this. It's been posted every week since WW came out.
1) place a 1 inf bid on a level 50 SO. then ruuuuuuuuuun to the store and sell it for 15k.
2) place a 2,222 bid on a thorn tree then sell it for 150k
3) place a 2,222,222 bid on a kismet +acc recipe, ruuuuuuun craft eeet and sell it for 15mil.
nothing new here people. move on.
If everyone knew this stuff, then we wouldn't have all the marketearing threads every few days.
Or maybe not everyone cares about just making inf. Hard to believe in CoH, huh.

Ah, so original there Goat. There's plenty that don't care like myself. Check all the "killing the game" and fed up with WW posts... I have a billion, so what? I don't have to come gloat in here, post pics, leave guides or whatever self indulged people have to do to feel better about themselves.
Noone needs a guide, it's easy, SELL STUFFS.... der.

Redside: Mercy and Port Oakes BMs are very close to NPC stores.
Not a lot of travel time, and quite accessible to lowbies.

Defeat things, level up, der? Really.
Perhaps... making and managing money is hard for some people, and they feel a sense of accomplishment at reaching an otherwise arbitrary goal, and enjoy sharing their joy with like-minded individuals.
Oh, I get it, you're the Star Wars fan that goes to Star Trek conventions and calls everyone Kirk-loving-spock-suckers.
I just wanted to gloat. Been playing for 4 months. Made well over 3b on 2 different servers. To quote the famous Strongbad "Sometimes I look at myself and can't believe how awesome I am."
LOL. It's a pretendy game... doesn't do a THING to make me feel better about myself. What it does provide is entertainment. I have fun playing my character and I have just as much fun playing the market. Thank you Devs!!
I don't really want to see any knowledgeable players complaining about not being able to afford things.
As a test, I wanted to see how easy it could be to make some easy money.
I made a new character.
I skipped the tutorial.
I killed some NPCs and sold the TOs that dropped.
Grand total: 300 inf
Flew to WW (I'm a PB) and filtered rare recipe 50-53. Bought the taunt recipe at that level rech/end or something like that for 300 inf.
Sold it for 10k to an NPC.
Searched around for other crap recipes no one wants. Had about 150k in a few minutes flat.
Got bored of running back and forth with only 1 recipe slot so I did Sunstorm until I was level 6. I have 4 storage recipe slots now and can bid like 7 items I think. Did some more of what I did before.
maybe 2 hours in (most of which spent leveling) and I'm sitting on 500k inf. Enough to buy my enhancements at least until SOs and that's assuming I don't make any more money.
