If your mouse has greater processing power than your gfx card, the answer is yes.

They didn't. That's why it's "unofficial".

They ALL float down here. When you're down here with us, you'll float too!

See, that's what i get for not enabling the "NPC orientation flag" under options.
There are no straights either by that standard. Well, maybe Manticore and Sister Psycho, but then they might be bi, poly or just plain freaky, since all we know for sure is that they got married.

Did you even READ my post? The point of my post was to show that anyone's sexuality is completely irrelevent and has no bearing on anything.
You have every right to be upset. Bayblast was WAY offside with his/her comment.

Why am I not surprised?

Man, what a fun OP to read!

If someone was making inappropriate solicitations of your friend, regardless of orientation, he should have petitioned them. If your friend takes offense because he thinks that someone merely mentioning that they're gay is a solicitation, or if someone took offense to him using the word "gay" as a synonym of "stupid," then--how can I put this?--your friend needs to grow the hell up.

I typically avoid discussing my (or my character's) sexual orientation in the game because frankly, it's no one's business. If asked, I'm as likely to lie about it as not. I've seen inappropriate homosexual chatter, and I've reported it. I've seen a lot more inappropriate heterosexual chatter, and I've reported it, too. Fortunately, both types are very rare.

We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

Sure, we don't have the chat transcripts, so we don't know how the conversation went, but if the first quote you cited is true, and he was actually told that he should move to another server if he didn't accept homosexuality, that is absolutely no different than someone on Guardian saying, "If you're homosexual, you should go play on Victory."

Granted, the conversation might have gone something like this:

Victory Player: "...and Virtue is the unofficial RP server, and Victory is the unoffical gay server..."
OP's Friend: "Unofficial gay server? I can't believe they'd have something like that in this game."
Victory Player: "It is. If you're not comfortable with openly homosexual players, you might have a better experience on another server."

But if it wasn't blown out of proportion or misrepresented, then the Victory player was in the wrong. Just because someone is in a persecuted minority doesn't excuse them if they make racist, sexist, or any other kind of prejudiced comments.

I have a feeling that Mousedroid's example is what probably happened.

Another possibility is that the OP's "friend" said something offensive about being gay and he was put in his place. One of the nice things about our community is that we support each other when we see certain types of behaviour.

OMG DEUCE YOU'RE STILL HERE?!?!?! Wait til I tell Mo.

In reference to your post, if something like this happens in the future, if your friend feels harrassed he/she should /petiton the offender. I mean cmon.. how many times have YOU been petitioned?

Actually,I believe you need to reread BayBlast's post,he was slamming several posters that replied to the OP.I feel it was a rather hostile remark to all those posters BayBlaster. Why the hostility? These people did not deserve your snarky, rude comment.

Of course not being there or knowing what the chat logs contained. Here is my

As any negotiator/mediator knows there are always 2 viewpoints to any altercation.Which will be skewed by each persons own view/emotions/personality/interpretations.
You will find however that actual truth runs pretty much down the center of both sides. We are after all human.. prone to emotions...prone to mistakes....and quick to defend ourselves.

Or, for added effect: Statesman/Tyrant/Reichsman/Imperious.

I think I'll better stop here.

Yeah, but they're so obviously in an on-again off-again long-term relationship that it's not as intersting as trying to find out the secret agnsty crushes other characters have for each other

Had you read my post you might have understood that I said, "the behavior you described" was petitionable in my opinion. Perhaps you would have an easier time of understanding my point had I written "the behavior AS you described it".

Observations regarding specific behavior are one thing; assigning blame is quite another.

Further, it is not within the purview of the players to pass judgment or to sanction other players. That's up to the GMs ... which is why the petition system is in place.

It is entirely possible that the entire incident was a misunderstanding that escalated. I have no problem believing that.

Like Eric Nelson, I take umbrage at Bay Blast for putting words in my mouth and ascribing motives to me that I do not possess.

And ... thanks, Spatch and General Hospital

Off topic: (or is it?) does the new (bugged?) base/mission T-port animation look like you are air humping?

I died laughing when I was standing behind a salesman in WW and decided to port to my base right fast!
