Power Spectrum is just around the corner...

Customizable powersets include
Cold Domination,
Dark Armor, Dark Blast, Dark Melee, Dark Miasma,
Earth Control,
Electric Armor, Electric Assault, Electric Blast, Electric Melee, Electricity Manipulation,
Empathy,
Energy Assault, Energy Aura, Energy Blast, Energy Manipulation, Energy Melee,
Fiery Aura, Fire Assault, Fire Blast, Fire Control, Fire Manipulation, Fire Melee,
Force Field,
Gravity Control,
Ice Armor, Ice Assault, Ice Blast, Ice Control, Ice Manipulation, Ice Melee,
Illusion,
Invulnerability,
Kinetics,
Mental Manipulation, Mind Control, Psionic Assault, Psychic Blast,
Necromancy,
Ninjitsu,
Pain Domination,
Plant Control, Poison,
Radiation Blast, Radiation Emission,
Regeneration,
Sonic Resonance, Sonic Attack,
Spines, Stone Armor,
Stone Melee,
Storm Summoning,
Super Reflexes,
Thermal Radiation,
Thorny Assault
Willpower.

Super Strength and Martial Arts will each receive an alternate animation for their powers, and Stone Armor and Necromancy will include limited customization.

SO I hear that MA will get punches they can choose instead of kicks, and I assume that the punches will be the same attack stats as the kicks just a punch animation. I also hear that the SS attacks will have some more heroic style choices for the attacks, which sounds interesting to say the least.

I wonder how the customization of colors will affect cool looking pets like the Singularity?

My Main Question is this: Are pool powers going to be visited for some base customization? For example, off the bat, Aid Self could really use a non tricorder animation for non tech using people like magic based or mutant based people....maybe a crystal choice for one and just a few hand waves or something as another?

What things that aren't listed above would you like to see customizable?

What I'd love to know is if true black will be available, much like the Villain Invulnerability black.

I'm also curious as to how the power primary and secondary colors will work... Illusion, for example, has three main colors: White (Primary), Purple and Blue (Secondaries). Kinetics is the same way: Light Green (Primary), Orange and Blue (Secondaries).

Will there only be two color choices, and then 'Legacy' options?

My guides:Dark Melee/Dark Armor/Soul Mastery, Illusion Control/Kinetics/Primal Forces Mastery, Electric Armor

I believe a true black is available for most powers. From what I tested at Comic Con, most powers use the same palette as your costumes.

Some powers like Energy and Electric blast have a "Bright" and "Dark" option. The coloring effect is different like Tanker and Brute Invuln fx.

The animations you pick should have no affect on the actual power. It should be purely cosmetic and have the same animation time as the default.

As for your main question.. I hope BaBs answers you, 'cause I'm not a dev :P

And for what I'd like to see: Tintable jets on rocket boots.

I would love it if the Epic Power Pools received the same treatment. I'm sure it's just a matter of time before they do, after all, it makes no sense to make a Fire/Fire Tank with 'Green' fire, and then get to my epic power pool and find it's still restricted to the default orange.

So I guess my wish list would look something like this:

* Color tentable/customizable Regular Power Pools
* Color tentable/customizable Ancillary/Patron Power Pools

Apparently, there's going to be some animation changes for Super Strength and Martial Arts, a secondary set of moves. My question is, can you choose which ones you want for which powers?

Other than that, though... CAN'T WAIT!

Yes. And for each costume slot; so you can, say, use the classic Foot Stomp in your first costume slot, and the new Ground Punch animation in your second.

From what I understand, there will be various earth tones available for choosing

yeah granite armor will be colorable, but with limited colors. Unfortunately, it uses an "earth tone" palette. I don't remember seeing a true black in there. Only browns, grey oranges, greens and grey blues.

You can make 95% white though, so have fun with your sundried poo granite armor.

No. Granite Armor will not be customizable. It currently exists outside of what we can access via the power system as it is an NPC with a pre-defined costume that your player is turned into.

BaBsitron, would it be possible to make additional models available for Granite Armor? Perhaps in a future update/issue?

I would think that's already in the cards somewhere, and would also explain why Kheld Power Customization has been passed for this round, due to Nova/ Dwarf forms having the same problem.

And thus spake Obsidius and my mind was flooded with glorious and wonderous images the likes of which had never been known to man and I responded in kind "Alternate models for Novas and Dwarves?"

And in less corny-sounding speculation: Possibility of different models for the kheld forms? Non-squidy nova? Armadillo-like dwarves? Could definitely add to the depth of kheld customization if you were able to choose what sort of creature your kheldian had bonded with in the past.

I'd like to just not have a costume change at all and have my character look the same in its different forms. Same with granite armor.

So no custom Granite. That's too bad, hopefully someday they could perhaps adapt the way they have the Devouring Earth's Boulder mobs in the AE to be applicable to players.

Yeah, I figured there was a confusion there. Stone Armor, the Power Set, is customizable. Granite Armor, the Power, is not.

I am certainly hoping that this issue is given a high priority, even though I understand it's going to be tough. It's been commented in the past by devs before, though, perhaps even by you yourself, that shape change powers are problematic, because they "lock" the player into a predefined appearance. You've avoided such powers, allowing only the rare exceptions like Stone Armor and Kheldians, because of this. Allowing players to customize their alternate forms will not only enable them to still be individual and stand out, which they want, but it may also open up the possibility of more shape change powers, which should give you guys more ideas.

While that might be possible for Granite Armor and Kheldian Dwarf form, it would never work with Nova form, as all the animations are written for the Nova's skeleton. Since that's a distortion of the normal human skeleton, you would go through all sorts of gyrations and deformations as you cast the Nova attacks. Check out some of the bugs that have been reported where you stay in human form while a Nova.

Solving this would require a whole new set of animations for the Nova attacks. Which is possible, certainly, but additional work on top of customizing the costume change itself.

Wouldn't be surprised if quivers and visible weapons on character come in the natural booster.

You stated "it currently exists outside of what we can access...." Can we assume this may change come going rogue?

I'm guessing that "currently" means that it is subject to change. I hope that "currently" means that it is subject to change. But I don't believe that Going Rogue specifically will change anything that has to do with it.

Just as a wild guess, I would say the time frame of Going Rogue is probably too soon for the kind of change BaB is talking about. Maybe a few issues after that.

Okay, I get that. Would it be possible for you to provide a predefined female version of the Granite Armor costume as the default for females? Or allow us the choice of two or more predefined costumes, one female?
