Is double XP applying to the AE missions?

Yes, you get double rewards for AE content. Yes, even non-Dev Choice.

When I asked that same question in Atlas Park and replied with "wow, just wow" after I got a confirmation someone said I was crying. It amused me. But yeah... WOW!

Yes, it is. My new toon, AE Baby, created just for this week, went from level 1 to level 20 within one boss farm and we didn't even complete the mission. What's funny is none of the original teammates stayed on the team. Everyone until I was left with the star. Other members were invited as we moved along down the street.

I don't normally farm as I like to participate in the regular content with the temp powers and badges and other fun stuff, but I just thought I would see if I could get a toon to level 50 in just one weekend for Double XP using only AE. Hence the name, AE Baby. Kinda poking my tongue out at farmers.

Yeah I was kinda hoping AE wouldn't be included too. I have a perma 46 I was holding onto just for this. Oh well, that's what the delete button is for.

The devs should rename it to "PL Weekend"

Yeah but previous "Double xp" weekends where usually a lot of fun, this is just "Double AE Players", "Double the farms", "Double the shouts", and "Double the annoyances".

I personally look forward to going rogue, I also notice how the devs have implimented this loyalty thing, coincidence that it coincided with champions online's release? . . .

I don't think it is all a nemesis plot, the MA servers went down briefly on Union yesterday, my fellow Handprints and I were speculating if the dev's hadn't removed the dxp from MA...

...although none of us could be arsed to go check it out.

well i took a lvl 39.6 to 41.4 doing ae missons,and didsome imf farming,just 6 mill worth, the rest of the weekend I did 2 clear all itfs and my first Kahn, i need the merits to buy a lotg+7.5 :-)

In case one of the DEVS reads this, how about of a 2x merits weekend?

My short double XP story:

Went AWOL for awhile because I got burnt out from the game, for various reasons, but topping the list was the AE controversy. I finally get the urge to play again today after a month off and I'm excited after seeing that it's double xp weekend. I had completely forgotten about it. Well... you see where this is going. I log on, while anxiously awaiting the chance to play while my face is lit up like a kid waiting in line to play Capcom vs. SF in the arcade (back in the day). I quickly realize nothing has changed with AE, and that with double xp it's only worsened, and after forcing myself to play a couple missions I end up burning out again by the middle of the day.

On a side note I was awfully surprised to see that the servers were all green like a normal sunday. How does that happen on double xp weekend?

Anyway, I'm just waiting for I16 to come out so I can make some new characters.

I got a bunch of friends together and played a bunch of hours. Some in the AE, some not. 2XP for the XP is sort of like... gaming conventions for the stores? Not a great metaphor. Anyway, it's a time that people make an effort to be on the game, so you get to see people you barely ever see. It's a chance to try new projects. To finish off old projects that are stuck at inconvenient levels. I have a fresh shiny L31 INV tank, I got three levels on a 37-ish character and four on a 43-ish character. I did some lousy arcs, some agricultural and some not, but on the other hand... I found out the secret of the Spiderling Cookies . Arc 288916 , by Mindshadow.

If you don't make any plans for 2XP, you're going to get in PUG's doing what PUG's do. I don't know if you can say anything but "Working as intended" about that.

Double XP was a blast for me. My roommate and I got our Cold Defenders to level 50(him archery, me dark) and spent a little over a billion a piece fixing them up. Our first attempt to duo after buying IOs was destroying Infernal(AV). I knew these characters would be powerful with perma hasten, but damn. We then ran an ITF and murdered it. Rommie didn't stand a chance. He was running away most of the final battle. Next on our agenda is to duo the ITF. I don't expect it to be too hard.

I also sold a PvP IO for 1.7 billion influence. If that was all I did this weekend, that would have been ok with me.

just happy its over i get in way more teams normally. found 1 team the whole weekend for a terra volta trial, no pugs, no tfs. its over now back to normal! played on infinity all weekend. dead except for AEs. i find no joy in an AE bldg.
