There is a hard cap of 2 billion inf per toon. E.g. if you're at the cap and you try to collect more inf from Wentworth's, then the inf over 2 billion just disappears. And, yes, I've seen this happen.

I have about 125 million on one of my brutes and am waiting on about 120 million coming from the AH. Who'd have thought Numina's regen/recovery were going for 90 million on Villains??? I don't even have it up for that much!

I never really understood inf hoarding to be honest. Inf is 100% useless if it just sits in your character I.D as a long string of numbers, you can get much more use out of it if you spend it on IOs and slot them.

Not sure my current main has about 22mill and my last main still has about 35ish mill but i tend to spend inf i have.
tho i have noticed as i tend to slot with IOs from about 30 and just replace those with higher ones as i get salvage/recipies that my inf supply tends to just grow steadily as I'm making more money selling all the extra stuff i pick up from drops and with merritts than i am spending on crafting the odd 2 or 3 recipes every other mish.
I buy and craft alot so i dont hoard inf unless its a recipy that i gain less from using merits.

I always spend my inf, so the most i had was around 90 mil when i pooled inf i had on a bunch of characters and started kitting out my first shield char.
Prob spent some 6-700 mil or so on her by now, but the most i had at any one time was 90 mil, give or take 5.
After having just spent a few hundred million on my Scrapper.. I'm now down to 72 Million. I think the most I've ever at one time was 450 Million. Which dissipated very quickly, I don't see the point in hoarding inf for any amount of time.
Considering the constant inflation that seems to be happening, just letting it sit there seems to do nothing but make it slowly worth less and less as time goes by

I made over 300mil Inf last week - and now im back down to under 20mil. I have a bad habit of getting hooked on making the Inf then deciding on making another toon, getting it to 50 and blowing all that Inf on it.
Why keep it and save it up when you can just spend it and make a 'Real Hero/Villain' rather then just a platic SO enhanced hero/villain?
I had 5 enhancement racks in my base and I sold pretty much all of them in one go as I used to make all my recipes, I ended up with just shy of 1 billion inf, Which i then used to slot purples and convert to prestige for my base. I have just over 200 million left
I can only say woah, I have 278.123 inf (At the moment) and I acually thought that was good work for a lvl 20 but it seems I was wrong hehe. Aww well what can you do... I need to beat up some bad guys

I spent like 460 million for a full set of IOs - but that was when the Invention System first came out

Most inf I had at anyone time was 80m, back when I was hitting RV regularly to get the pill badge...(which i'm still 700 short of 
) but have been affected by altoholism again. I'm also like a kid in a candy store... when I have inf... I spend it, then need more... especially on lower lvl toons
