    Which Melee

    I quite fancy a melee toon for Rv, something very survivable and will still manage to get kills... What would you suggest, influence is no object.

    I have looked into;

    Wp/Ss Tank
    Invul/Dm Tank
    EnergyA/Dm Scrapper
    Elec/Spines Scrapper
    Ss/Elec Brute
    Ss/Ea Brute

    I am unsure what would be most effective or enjoyable, I am also considering Street Justice as the numbers on mids look good... so, ye em suggestions and thoughts please??

    p.s - I am trying to avoid regen and the flack that comes along with having one.

  3. Heat Ex is Perma quite easily, I would suggest you go for a better primary and add pre-emtive interface to it... no point sapping something if you can't kill it. With incand and a stronger primary you will outlast your opponent, the reason i say this is that alot of pvp'rs have ageless to fight therms so you need to pack more than -end.

    Actually another way to go would be Elec control / Therm and proc the attacks to stack with an epic/patron attacks, again i would use pre-emtive... U really want powerboost too not only for the heal but for all secondary effects. Aim for,

    1400hp min
    70 Rech (before hasten)
    70% Acc
    Tact+kismet for to-hit, also +perc io
    Tough or Phase your preference
    41Kb protection
    Range if you have space, 25% - 35% should be good.

So im looking to find out what would be the most effective for pvp, Either Brute or Scrapper, I will be making Energy aura, also what is the best attack set for either of these AT's with EA as their shields. Tempted by SS for Brute or possible MA for Scrapper, if you have reasons for your choices please note them so i can read over it...

  6. Your forgetting Enerygy Aura, I think it's Entropy Shield that gives tp res.

    or my favourite method personally, kill the droner.

  8. Thank you for your replies, I think the issue i have is that I try to build for 1 thing in particular instead of an overall view, so I went for Hp and forgot about Acc in this instance... I am leveling this toon so I will take info you have given and apply it

    Meantime i have a lvl 50 Grav/Ta that I would like to respec, I took the advice and attempted to build this from what you have told me. Does this look like it would be viable for Zonal also...?

  12. Ok, so I have loads and loads of spare PvP io's and Purples floating about, I was wondering what toon would make the most of them for RV... Any suggestions, and how they would be used please.

    New Blaster Prim

    I'm making a new Blaster to play redside in RV... I already have a pimped psi/em and I was looking into making something different. What Primary blast sets would be most effective in zone.. I have looked at Fire, Sonic, Rad and Dark... So far I am leaning toward Fire but are there anything about others sets that might sway my choice?

  14. What is the most effective way to slot Taunt for zonal pvp ? I'm aware that it's autohit, but there is an acc check for the -range effect isn't there? I have FA slottd with only end redux.

    How would you slot this to be most effective and most annoying to the other team.
  15. Ok so I'm wanting to pimp up my FF Defender for zonal fun, nothing serious but i would like to survive long enough for it to actually be fun... and I have been thinking..

    Whats the viability of Defense on a Fender in Zone, I would be using Dispersion Bubble, Weave, all io'd to max Ranged def and stacked with barrier.. heals will be from aidself and Dark blast, and PFF if needed. Would it be possible to get enough def on this toon to at least be noticed ?

    Few Exemping questions...

    Do lvl 50 PvP IO's keep their set bonuses when in Sirens Call ?

    When using Lotg+rech IO's do they need to be lvl 33 or lower to work in SC ?

    Does Alpha incarnate still effect PvP in SC ?
  20. I have made a build for my new PvP Bane, I have tried to max out Hp Resists and decent def... but I have forgotten about KB, Does anyone know if they are counted as melee toons? Or do I need to start all over again... ?

    Here is the build, please let me know what you think and if there are any ways to improve it. This will be for Zonal play, 25% teaming 75% Random encountering and the Incarnate's I have looked at will be, Cardiac, Rebirth, Reactive and Pyronic.

  21. I use TW/Fire/Fire and Its faster than any SS toon I've seen, Elec/Fire is also very good and currently i'm looking into another primary to see if I can better the 3 I have already.
  22. Okay I have gone back 12 pages, and not found 1 build for this kind of toon, can anyone please post me a PvP build for SR that will make people trying to hit me cry from missing.

    I think it's pretty obvious TW was basically made for people who wanted to make concept toons based around big dumb brutes with oversized weapons. I don't think making it super powerful was their focus, just making it fit that type of concept. Personally, that look doesn't appeal to me, but to each their own I guess.

    Oh and long animation times = better in pvp is wrong.. you can't heal during an animation time..

    You having a laugh?!! My TW/Fire keeps Fury higher than any other brute i've made... It's one of the fastest playing attackers and the Aoe's and Cones are fluid.. You just have to play it right.

    The special ability "momentum" is a dead giveaway of how this toon should be played... Don't let it drop and you're sorted.

    Currently I foud farming Fire mobs my non incarnated brute beats a +1 SS with T3's hands down for speed.
