Havent been too bothered about them to be honest. The nicest perk about the day jobs is the patrol xp.
That aside all of my main characters have 2 day job badges each at least and one has an accolade (cant remember the name of it).
@Damz Find me on the global channel Union Chat. One of the best "chat channels" ingame!
Can't say I'm really paying attention to them. I like the Patrol xp and some of the temp buffs but I don't log out somewhere particular to get a badge.

Slowly coming along... 
I usually park my toons somewhere if I have time for it. It's nice feature but not a must have.
I must admit that the only reason I have been specifically working towards them (and the accolades) is because CoH has lost it's shine for me at the moment. I am hoping i14 will improve things for me but I am tending to log in only to move log out places at the moment lol

4 Dayjob Badges and 2 accolades so far on Lord Spawnus
for me it's a gimick and doesn't add anthing to the game - in fact I have an intense dislike of patrol XP. It's not like we need to make the game or levelling curve any easier.
The Badges are a bit meh... it's like being rewarded for not playing a toon - silly

I have secured an accolade for each of my main alts. The accolades were chosen from a RP perspective that suited the characters. I have since added more DJ badges to each but without any enthusiasm.
I can recommend the 7.5% recharge bonus from the Predator badge.

Well I've picked up one badge name I liked, the rest are kinda based on when I can be bothered when I log off

I try to log off in a day job location if I remember but not always the same one so a lot of my characters have part filled completion bars for five or six different day jobs. After all, whats the hurry?

Usually try to log of in a spot with a job but keep forgetting.
Do like patrol xp though, helps get past some of the more grindy parts and makes soloing a little more berable.

As a badge-affordable friend I've gotten several of them.
Must admit i've not concentrated one one at the time (having progress bar on several now 
)
Dont want to let my main badger be offline too much, so I play when i play and im very certain to place all chars on dayjob locations.
(even though who are not badgechars.. *sigh* )

every 30 days I have to spend an hour or so moving all my badge toons about. But it's nice to get something for nothing

Mostly I'm just going for the ones with the titles that I want for my characters' backstories, (Undead Alice went for Mortician, Mineralogist got Professor, Snowglobe is going for Socialite). I was a bit disappointed that Mortician (or maybe Caregiver)+Law Enforcement didn't end up as Medical Examiner, but...
...The Pocket D, out of combat recovery boost, does help noticebly if you're soloing pre-stamina/SO, whilst the Ouroboros, extra recipe on mission complete, is great for when you've only got an hour to do some of Borea's, Marcus Valerius' or (I guess) Meg Mason's repeatable missions.
Doing OK so far, 7 day job badges + 4 accolades is my best. Lost some time (also 55 merits and ~50 mil worth of recipes) when my main badger got rolled back but he should have 7 day jobs + 2 accolades in a couple of days.

Oh, Slowly but surely working my way through the Day Job badges one at a time with preference given to those with a title suiting my various alts, like Arachnos Agent and/or Web Weaver for my VEATs or Pain Specialist for my Pain Domination Corruptor.

lol, kidding... paid no attention to them at all. Nice idea but don't really care for temps.

I am feeling a little conned by them to be honest. I have characters that haven't roamed the streets of paragon for over 60 days. When I did log them in I don't get the badges for the locations they are logged out, or huge amounts of patrol xp. Characters I play regularly get a little bonus icon showing saying things like "extra enhancement when completing a mission" and then vanish before I can complete one short mission. As far as I can see they are "oooooh shiny" and not much else.

The patrol XP is nice for me, I've so many alts I can just flit between them harvesting double XP. I might even get some to 50 this way!
The jobs themselves are pretty much a waste of time for me though, cannae be bothered.
Loving them, actually. Now that my mighty mountie Canadian Maid has both the security chief and police chief badges, logging off in a police station gives me a ranged AOE hold and a mid-mag disorient, while DW is stocking up on bonus heals and runes of purification.
And for Rangers Emily and Marianne, there's no situation that can't be improved with the judicious use of hand grenades.

Following a break of a month from CoH I logged onto my main to a shiny new Day Job badge taking my grand total to 5 following a mthodical logging out regime! Following this I was wondering how the general community was getting on with these pesky badges!
