Didn't play much at all over the weekend, but did progress some alts a bit.

In total played 1 hour on friday evening, 3 hours saturday morning, 4 hours on sunday, then 2 hours before maintenance today.

2 bars on my lvl 31 Stone/Stone Tank
3 bars on my lvl 42 Kat/DA Scrapper
4 bars on my lvl 36 DB/SR Scrapper
4.3 levels on my now lvl 21 DM/Shield Scrapper

All solo, didn't team once... becoming a hermit slowly!

Got a DM/Inv Scrapper 1 to 20, a Claws/WP Scrapper 1 to 24, my AR/Dev Blaster from 18 to 22 and when I got in last night at midnight I went mental with an Archery/Dev Blaster I managed to get to 11 (she went from 2-11 without bothering to level) before going to sleep.

With the amount of time I waste alting and generally not playing and always solo, it was a huge achievement for me. Those two Scrappers were a real success, because the problem I have is the hump getting to 20 when I can start grabbing Stamina or Quick Recovery, because downtime really wears on my willingness to keep playing a toon. That Archery blaster is utterly awesome as well, it's like the Blaster version of Claws, absolutely wonderful, low recharge and sod all endurance cost making it just an utterly relentless pain train.

Big shout out to whoever Nova S Warshade is, whose team was was such a relentless runaway success that the Claws/WP scrapper got to level 17 with literally no enhancements. I eventually swapped for my AR blaster simply because not being able to contribute was causing me mental pain even though no-one else seemed to actually care!

I got an elec/shield brute 11 lvls.

Not too shabby:

* took a kin defender from 45 to 47 in an ITF.
* fire/rad controller got to 42.5 from something like 35/36.
* DB/WP scrapper from 27 to 38.75

The last one's the biggy as I'm trying to get them to 45+ for next weekend (without farming/PL'ing). They didn't go as far as I'd hope, but have given me a fighting chance of making it...

BTW: Why on dxp do more teams seem to think that upping the rep and picking missions that are +4/5 to most of the team is the way to maximise xp flow? Number of teams (and of longtime vets) that seemed to do this and xp suddenly slowed from a torrent to a trickle interspersed by Hospital trips...

Yeah, it was a nice weekend. Raked in some nice amounts of inf and prestige with my 50s and started a new MM-team (now level 32) with SG friends. Apart from that some long neglected toons saw a little bit of playtime again with my warshade doing the biggest jump (from level 38 to 43).

Yeah, that's really quite irritating. Enemies that are +2/+3 are quite enough for a DXP weekend considering you'll be pretty much just running through entire armies of them non-stop. I think it's better that way at all times, it's just plain boring when you have to stand there sizing up each and every spawn until someone just Leeroys in.

Last night they were Whites and Yellows on the team I joined. For a Warshade that's just XP heaven. Steamroller em and see if you can leg it to another group before the Mire expires.

Personally I won't fight more than +2s/+3s for long anyway. I hate my lovely powers getting reduced to peashooter levels by excessive purpling of mobs. That said at one point on Friday my mentor was AFK for a bit, so I was 6 or 7 levels below the Mob levels (but still within 5 of the average team level) and the XP I earned was ridiculous. I did feel useless though : "Dark Quasar blasts a Freakshow for 10 damage. Freakshow is now laughing".

[/ QUOTE ]I think it's a case of illusions. There's the continuing myth that Purple = uber XP. Secondly there's the temptation with a steamroller team to "up the diff a bit". Unfortunately that's not as linear as it seems.

Back on topic I forgot to mention getting my PB a few bars so she made it to 39.

Pretty poorly this year, got one alt from 15 to 20, another 10-15 and wanted to get one 30-36 but only managed 1 lev (lack of teaming =( )...still all that in one day isn't so bad.

Blame Eros for that Carnie , but seriously tho I agree with the problem, for example yesterday was on an awesome team blasting around the isles killing all and sundry, we were going on for a good few hours and not once did anyone ask to up the rep...we kept it at a nice pace with boss enemies conning around red for us at max.

I do agree that there is a belief amongst some folks that (and this applies dxp or no dxp) conning purps is the only way to get great XP, id like to see two teams start on an arc with similar AT's..one on medium diff the other full diff. Would be interesting to see the outcome speed and xp wise (taking into account debt earned etc)

Personally though im more happy with a team that finds the enemy a challenge, have a few "eep" moments and yet still be comfortable with the pace and level to have a bit of banter along the way.

With patrol stuff there is no debt anymore... I havent had a single debt point during the whole weekend. And that was even with my blaster

Got my new favourite character Noob Buster to level 50 (my second one! woooo!). Resepec'd him into a more user friendly build and then helped a few supergroup members get over that final hurdle to 50 too.

Was more happy that the supergroup seemed so active and got a ton of prestige than anything though (up to 700k prestige now! ).

Again got to give a huge shoutout to that major power lag that was happening throughout most of yesterday

Randomly scattered a few bits of level across several characters.

Was quite happy to get my Brute to 20, so she could have a civilian costume slot. I think that was the highlight.

I really don't see the excitement in DXP weekends.

Don't get to spend a great deal of time playing, but I did get my dark/shield scrapper from 29 to 36.

I really should do something about this signature.

Most of this weekend was spent offline (woo! Real-worldians unite!) visiting close friends. When I did grab some online, I got my Stalker to 45, helped some friends level their chars, ground the snot out of a Lady Grey Taskforce earning over five million inf per mish on my fifty Brute. I spent most of the gaming in a happy daze as people flashed white and shiney all around me. I had planned a duo with one friend, but our chars are in roleplaying limbo so never made it out of the box. They await assembly and painting and so forth. It's such fun.

Did a few levels here and there but when you have 20 odd 50s already levelling quickly isn't that much of a big deal.
