Adrenaline - Gavin Rossendale (used as the theme tune for the Vin Diesel vehicle XXX). Always reminds me of my main. He didn't start out as an adrenaline junkie, but the higher his leve got, the more he acted like one.
Oh, and I always get this image of leaping off cliffs under Superspeed when I hear it, for some reason.

Probably anything by Dragonforce - I liked listening to them while hurling fire at people *shrug*.
An Honest Mistake is an excellent tune! Reminds me of my DJ'ing days and I must get some Vampire Weekend keep forgetting so thanks for the reminder =)
For me it's a big mix of tunes, The Prayer by Bloc Party reminds me of leaping about, slicing n dicing with the Chosen One. Whilst Spitfire by the Prodigy reminds me of blasting about with Delphina.
Soopa Villainz album by the Soopa Villains reminds me of early villainry as does Conquer by the Psychopathics.

Lately its been something as farfetched as "The Twelves -I'm not going to teach your boyfriend how to dance".
As in nobody can tell me how to make my character.
Mostly because I got one of those annoying people telling my tanker to drop CoD...
Other than that... Nothing beats "Bonnie Tyler - I need a hero" when I want to get into the mind of a hero.
All the songs from the Alice Cooper Classics album remind me of CoH/V, as I had that on repeat much of the first year I spent ingame. Also a Metallica song I couldn't name if I tried, but whenever I hear it I go, "Aha! City Of!"

Cant beat the Coop
I get this with a lot of games, for instance SYL's album: Alien always reminds me of HL2, and Sikth always reminds me of Return to Castle Wolfenstein.....
With CoH I have such an eclectic mix of songs my playlist shifts about all over the place, but depending on what I'm doing I'll usually come down to something by either Devin Townsend or something by Marillion or Within temptation...though I've been listening to a lot of Children of Bodom recently which is good for pounding mobs to
Oh and of course "I dont wanna be a Superhero" by the Roadrunner All Stars, great song and it really suits play on CoV

Well, there's the Hamster Dance, because I sometimes play that if I'm PvPing, but I don't usually have music on when I play, because I find it distracting.

Was DJ'ing for the same station GG and had the song myself, so didnt really have a reason to Request it BUT onto the Subject at hand, Fav songs atm have to be most of the Pendulum album which I listen to alot when Playing nowadays

Voodoo Child is also very good for pounding mobs to...I remember having it on waiting for an invasion to happen and the Rikti appearing right on time (must have watched Doctor Who). No more heroes anymore by The Stranglers also a gooden along with calling all the heroes - an 80's classic hehe

Invincible by Ok-Go always reminds me of mothership raids with my main tank.
But generally Collide by Skillit usually makes me think about heroes, while Riot by 3 days grace is villains

Hmm... lots of songs from my playlist i now associate with CoH. I can't really put my finger on a specific one.

I've played it alot when playing CoH. hehe ^^ "Nickelback - Rockstar", "Audioslave - Cochise", "Pain - Shut your Mouth" are also some songs i now associate with CoH.
It's the same for me with other songs i've listened to while playing other games. "Spiderbait - Black Betty" for need for speed games, it's a nice song to drive fast to!
"Dope - You spin me right round" i always think WoW when i hear it. Most of Pink i tend to think Everquest, as i had a little phase with her when i played EQ.
1) Spiders In the night - Ozzy Osborn
I remember reading up about the CoV expansion way back around Issue 7, and there was a page all about PVP zones and Arachnos, with the lyrics to this song in italics at the top. I loved it, got the song - and it became the track that I listened to whilst I was patrolling Siren's Call fighting Toxic Tarantulas (now *that* badge took a while!)
2) Voodoo Child - Rogue Traders
This was, in my opinion, the 'official' track for the Rikti Mothership Raids, when that issue went live. I remember when there were about fifty heroes/villains all standing in the very centre of the ship, waiting for the GM's hordes to show up, and as they did, several people would shout out "Here come the drums!". It was a damn fine track for that battle - it matched the intensity perfectly.
3) Monster - The Automatics
I remember first having this on as I *accidently* caused a giant Malta GM to appear in Steel Canyon, whilst loads of low-levellers were standing around by Positron. It *was* actually an accident! I play this whenever I go GM-hunting, or on BIG boss battles. It works really well - especially if the boss is ACTUALLY OVER A HILL!

No one's mention Nickelback... Hero (from Spiderman), that always reminds me of this game. The lyrics even fit nicely: none of us just stand there and wait for a hero to save us after all.

Driving home last night, a song come on that always, instantly, makes me think of City of Heroes. The song is The Bravery's An Honest Mistake, and it reminds me of CoH as i used to play the album alot when I first got CoH, and pretty much never listened to it elsewhere. The memories it invokes are not of specific events as such, it just reminds me of my first proper character (now gathering alot of dust, so unplayed as it is). More than that though, the song actually reminds me of the feelings i used to get that made me so hooked on this game, the feeling when everything was new, shiny, never before seen and pretty confusing. I haven't had that feeling in CoH for a long long time (which is a massive shame, and its partly why i play alot of other mmo's temporarily - to get that feeling of "Woah! What the hell am I doing?!") but that song always invokes to a lesser extent that feeling when the game was so new to me.
In more recent times, Vampire Weekend's debut album and The Presets' Apocalypto both remind me of my recent evening escapades in the Rogue Isles. How about you? Do any of you have any songs/albums/lyrics that remind you of City of Heroes/Villains or that you associate with the game. The more bizarre associations the better!
