I realise this has little relevance to a lot of people on the boards, but I just wanted to say good luck to any players getting their AS/A-Level results tomorrow.

Hey guys, I can't rotate my camera with either the Page Up/Page Down keys or by clicking my scroll wheel despite the fact my control settings say those are the correct keys.

Turn Left/Turn Right also acts differently with my arrow keys than it does on WASD. When I jump I can turn left and right using WASD while still moving forward. If I jump while moving forward I can use my arrow keys to turn right, but not left.

I find this bizarre, all the keys/buttons involved work outside of the game.

I am running Vista Ultimate 64 Bit, I tried running the game in compatibility mode but it didn't work. I suspect it being 64 bit may be causing the problem but I am not sure, would any 64 bit users be able to shed some light?

Any help is appreciated.

As said above, the prices only relfect what people are prepared to pay, if the sellers didn't know they could hold out for stupidly high prices, they'd have to lower the reserve in order to sell.

Hey guys, with being able to have 2 builds coming relatively Soon™ I figured I'd try and spec my Fire/Dev for PvP in either Siren's or RV. I always heard that /Dev is generally geared towards beating Stalkers so I figured a "stalker hunter" would be appropriate.

I need a rough idea of where to go with my build, I assume Stamina and Acrobatics are essential. Super Jump for my travel power. Is Tactics still needed? Do I need Aid Self?

That and any tips you can offer.

Honestly, I was sold on this pack the moment I saw the HUD. It was a 'MUST HAVE' moment. I like self destruct, the animation rocks and I love the steam jets and also the way the explosion is HUGE compared to the average nuke. I did quite like being able to self-destruct then self-rez with Rise of the Phoenix, though that may be because I just love RotP... obviously it'll be changed, but hey it's fun.

I think the heroes of the city would overlook it for the greater good .

I'm quite tall and heavily built, I'd go for either Tank or Brute.

Iron Inferno lives in his lab for him to perform upgrades on himself and recharge his life support systems. The more machine he becomes, the less actual 'sleep' he requires. I've never really thought about where his lab would be though.

Ghost Wraith currently lives in the abandoned sewer complex that makes up his lair, since being resurrected he can't sleep so he spends his time in there training.

Fenrir Blade lives in an apartment in Steel Canyon, his landlord isn't too pleased with the 'decorating' Fenrir has done with training dummies and umpteen swords.

Competition is always going to be a factor in a multiplayer game. Competition brings smack-talk, if you don't like it - but like PvP, ignore it and carry on. I personally quite like competition, it motivates people and raises the stakes. I don't PvP in CoX at the moment, I wouldn't mind giving it a proper go though.

A 1Tb RAID 0 setup is begging for trouble. If you really want to lose that much data, then by all means, go ahead, but embedded RAID controllers on consumer motherboard are almost always cheap and/or nasty and likely to lead to array failures or at least errors, which with RAID 0 usually means total data loss.

Ok, so I'll be building my new PC soon-ish. I was just wondering from anyone who might know how loading times from a 10000rpm HDD compare to 2 7200rpm HDDs in RAID 0?

If the Raptor would boot Windows and load games faster then I'd probably go for a 74GB Raptor then a 500GB secondary drive. Otherwise I'm looking at 2 500GB in RAID 0. Any thoughts?

They already said why it was a 5 minute warning. They were coming up to peak time and the more players that log on, the amount of players affected would increase exponentially with what is game-breaking for them.

It wasn't rude, it was a well co-ordinated fix where everyone involved could quite easily be informed about it on the boards.

The message wasn't inaccurate, it just didn't go into detail. They're 2 entirely different things, you're complaining about what was an emergency message, emergency being the key word. All the info is in the Announcements thread.

Somehow I think you'd be more annoyed if you were one of the players with trial account restrictions put on you, being unable to level etc.

I think an engine update would be excellent. However, NC don't want to alienate some of their player-base at the lower end of the hardware spectrum but at the same time, there is little doubt in my mind that an engine update will be required to prepare for the competition.

If an engine update isn't on the cards I will be highly surprised.

Probably anything by Dragonforce - I liked listening to them while hurling fire at people *shrug*.

E3 was on a while ago, and many people were more intrested in that as it once agained brought out a lot of new stuff. And since CoX players don't have much things to grind their teeth into, and I don't really want to play Aion, I guess not many will attend.

Except that E3 is an invite only press event with little to no chance of regular people getting in. Beyond the announcement of FFXIII for 360 (which lets face it, was always going to happen with a big budget game), E3 was rather lackluster this year. Many of the journalists that went are speculating that it will be the last one as a matter of fact.

I'd make the line between hero and villain be decided using a BioWare-esque morality scale based on what you do. With certain contacts requiring you to be of a certain morality. Of course this would require a complete game overhaul and would make the game rather different... it'd still be cool as hell though.

Also, you can probably find game time cards in online stores. So you won't have to go rummaging around on the high street for one. I realise you said you can't be fussed with that - but buying online does take a lot of the hassle off.

I have been subsribing to this game in the same way since it came out of Beta in Europe. Why should I have to go hunting for other ways to pay in order to continue playing it? Shouldn't people who want to take your money from you make it simple? It's just another example of the terrible customer service that we get and seem to put up with. Its no biggie to me, I've signed up for a different MMO. I just find it disappointing that this sort of change is made without any information being given in advance, and someone who is supposed to be a community liaison (Ghost Raptor) has actually visited this thread but not commented. That and the fact that support stuck a metaphorical two fingers up to me have convinced me that COH don't seem to want subscribers. Luckily its a very competitive market so I can just choose other games to spend my money on.

Yes because a 2 second search on Amazon is such a hassle, wow... such a terrible world we live in. If you wanted to play the game you'd find a way around it - like I did in 2 seconds, but evidently you don't even want to so it doesn't matter.
