Fire/Dev - PvP

Hey guys, with being able to have 2 builds coming relatively Soon™ I figured I'd try and spec my Fire/Dev for PvP in either Siren's or RV. I always heard that /Dev is generally geared towards beating Stalkers so I figured a "stalker hunter" would be appropriate.

I need a rough idea of where to go with my build, I assume Stamina and Acrobatics are essential. Super Jump for my travel power. Is Tactics still needed? Do I need Aid Self?

That and any tips you can offer.

Well most /dev blasters make a build geared towards teleporting people onto trip mines, really fun thing to do works best in sirens imo, though RV is probably the most active zone atm. i do have an arch/dev which is respeced for telemining and the pools i took were Leadping, teleport, leadership and fitness.

Most go speed instead of leaping but its up to you. I think the most inportant pool is leadership on a teleminer or stalker hunter, you will have nice percept with tactics, targetting drone and maybe a perception IO. With that you will be able to see stalkers at 10ft so if one tries to sneak on you you can catch him out .

There is an alternative from telemining, i like the idea of a debuffing blaster :P, webgrenade, snowstorm from epic and caltrops can produce some nice slow, would make it very easy to kill someone under that sort of slow, especially since they are -jumped.

For this type of build i would say use speed, leaping, fitness, leadership and cold mastery. This could be done with a teleminer also but i think you would have to drop speed. You can do it with just Combat jumping on but if you get -jumped then you got no speed to run away so you will have to TP away asap.

As I have an Nrg/Dev built with PvP in Sirens with tictacs and the perception Io it's a HUGELY tight build with no room for anything you don't deem necessary in Sirens. I eventually went with SJ so I can stand up high and get a better view of the 'battlefield' and so you can spot SS'ing villains and get a snipe off before they've know what's hit them.

You'll definitely need tictacs, perception IO is also required as many stalkers have hide, stealth and Stealth IO. I've even seen one on villains that has grant invis too and said he's seen others with it as well.

Caltrops works wonders on Stalkers, it's autohit so it'll bring them out of hide straightaway and then you get a chance to get 'em but watch for the Stalkers friends!

If you want to build yourself for sirens id say build for dam and rech... Most stalkers have WP these days so /Dev has a bit more work to do, in other words 5 mines won't be enough.

Another downfall is that stalkers can see you, and if they have tp foe, well your quite screwed..

Id say try stick with 4 attacks if your going for Sirens. You will need your fitness, stamina, tp foe and maybe tactics to help on perception (against those fully stealthed stalkers)

Maybe just have Fireblast, Fireball and Blaze with Aim, that could do. Its a horribly tight build... also if you take accro that makes it even harder.

Edit: Oh yeah if you take flares that would be a nice attack if you io it up with a nice chance power.. Like Devastation's:Chance to Hold (15%)
