Hmm for secondary i would consider pain or poison, pain MM's are very hard to kill. Storm is also a good set. But the debuffs from poison are just awesome, for dueling i would definately go poison but seeing as you said personally i would go pain, you're going to need some outside survivability on an MM in a zone. Lots of tanks and scrappers will go for you.
Leadership is an obvious choice to go for and mace mastery is probably the best patron for MM, that -jump power can really mess someone up when they getting attacked by your minions. I think mace mastery has KO blow now too? Pretty handy power to help finish your target.
As for travel powers i would take Super jump or maybe teleport (and fly or even just hover?), i wouldn't recomend SS on an MM 'cause it's too fast and you will get too far from your minions then BAM! a blaster just pwnt you.
Im not so experienced with MM's so i'm not sure if BG mode is either res of def..i think it just makes it so your minions take 'x' amount of the damage you recieve so i wouldn't bother with fighting pool.
As for IO'ing i'd try get as much HP bonuses as possible, MM got way too low hp slotting 3 soulbound allegience in 2 of your pets will give a nice boost i should think..among other sets ofc.
Hope this helped..Gamete. -
Actually spines/regen is pretty much the best thing around to combat a fortunata due to the forts low resistence to smash/lethal. (I don't think forts get much PvP global res?) ice/ss/earth is also a great toon to combat forts but then again ice/ss can pretty much beat anything atm, having most trouble with a therm i would guess.

My funniest pvp moment was on my Broadsword/fire Scrapper, I made my way to the villains base in RV saw a brute taking a heavy. My Trick Arrow friend applied acid arrow, then i popped Build up and Fiery embrace landed a critical headpslitter and he died instantly. Link below with the numbers XD.

Title says it all really. Just wanting to know if Flash Arrow and Smoke are autohit :S

lol yeh but to get a mayhem mish you need to do 5 papers. Don't matter now anyway got the badge.
-
Hey i just wondered if there is anyway way to get this badge using 1 mayhem? like can you reset the mish a certain way to respawn the mob that gives the side mish? Or do i have to do 50 papers
?

That sounds like some epicfail psy blaster, what was his name? Fire/ice might be good but it isnt better than a psy/em tbh. If you were fighting a good Psy/em you would of been dead by the time you root to cast snowstorm and shiver lol. Least if it was in i13 anyway. If it was in i12 then yeh you can triumph over psy with fire
-
Fire/ice blaster should be removed from that list imo, for dueling builds at least. Slows are useless now and fire blast just doesn't compare with psy or sonic as a few others have already said. I think taking /em should be even more popular now with the taunt buff 'n' all.
Also if you gonna do a defender for pvp take power mastery, especially on a kin Powerbuild up will make all your end draining ability so much more powerfull. Not to mention total focus which you will need in order to kill things.
If you gonna go for a controller go for TA or thermal. Fire/therms do really well and earth mastery on 'trollers now is just pimpin'

He gets 7.5% global rech from it... -
Nice, may i ask what you used to ink this? Did you do the colours and shading on the computer? If so what program did you use.
I'm very interested in trying things like this myselfAny tips would be much appreciated.

Well to answer your question. You need the placate proc in mesmerize. You also slotted the wrong HO's on your defense, you slotted the HO's for def debuff not def buff (Clytoskeleton is what you're after). With some tweaking on those LotG's you can remove the 4th slot on your buffs and place them somewhere else, perhaps aidself or health. The cytoskeletons on your buffs add like .5% if you slot them Lotg+rech, Def and def/end or def/rech, so for .5% more def you will be paying like 20mil or however much those HO's are now. Seeing as this is posted in the pvp and arena section im assuming this is a pvp build :P. I wouldnt bother with total domination or Telekenesis.
TK no longer repels its a worthless power and people dont tend to ball in pvp so total domination is kinda pointless. Maybe confuse or mass confuse for the purple confuse set (neither power will be one you use alot so personally i would take Mass confuse just to make MM's cry, it's also very handy if you aggro a mob of npcs in RV).
Seeing as hold sets dont increase hold durations anymore slotting mez for dmg is crucial (which you have done already). The only thing i would do is switch the apocs to your hold and put the purple hold proc there too (so you got 5 apocs -dam/rech and the hold proc). Ice blast can then be slotted with the devastation from your hold and given the proc from the lvl 30 slow set.
You also might want to switch Swift for hurlde, helps alot when bunny hopping around with CJ.
IMO from what ive whitnessed in duels and from what people have told me Earth Mastery is the way to go for controller epics. Seimis smash and hurl boulder do amazing damage. Will help alot when solo'ing. I dont think you will need hibernate with PFF and aid self (and earths embrace if you switch to earth mastery). Rock armour also grants defense so you wont lose out on a def sheild.
This is just my opinion but i think these changes will only benefit you.

err HE isnt heat loss, we are talking about a thermal here not a cold lol, Heat exhaustion goes on your target for 30 seconds does -50% dmg i think and -recov -regen, it affects yourself in no way what so ever.

Elec/Therm - lol. He was asking for ones that could beat his tank. Not ones that easily get beat!
[/ QUOTE ]
Kk i guess your like the best pvper on EU now so i understand why this ridiculous statement was made. Elec/therm will take out a fire/ss easily. Aim -> Heat exhaustion --> shortcircuit. If he pops geas, just as Charnell said you pop demonic or just run away til it ends. Once that ends hes gonna have no end really fast. He can pack 20 blues but it still wont matter, with perma heat exhaustion (which isn't hard to get) them blues will be gone within the first 3-4 mins of the duel seeing as fiery armour is quite end heavy, not to mention the constant rage and hasten drops.
Once his end is starting to go you apply Melt Armour and he will drop in no time.

lol so basically you want a melee toon to not be "melee" you'd rather then fire a KO blow from 20 ft away. Sounds that way to me..
Heres my quick guide to play a melee toon;
Choose your target, press F or whichever key you have binded for follow. Now press your melee attack and jump when you are near the target. [censored] YOU JUST HIT A BUNNYHOPPER!
Don't really see the point to post any further so have fun
Gamete.. -
Elec/therm Corr can beat pretty much anything 1v1 in arena
-
I give up with you tbh..It doesnt matter that the def numbers are rounded down in pvp zones because they are still very good seeing as everyones acc and tohit is rounded down aswell..
How can you say melee was unplayable in i12 when me and a few other stalkers were able to pull off AS on bunny hopping targets actually quite easily. I also had a Bs scrapper in i12 and i never had trouble hitting a ranged toon. It was brutes and tanked who make survival builds in i12 that complained melee was useless because all they did was stood still and wanted the oposition to come to them. Thats why they would only ever ask for 1v1 toe to toe duels with no insps, so they couldnt lose..
The mez changes are ridiculous i don't see how you would say they aren't when they have made 2 classes completely useless now seeing as they dont do whats said in the description. Im assuming you play villains and not heroes so the mez changes shouldnt of bothered you seeing as you had the most OP controlling class on your side..a Perma dom. The answer to free yourself from mez was a break free now the mez system is so [censored] that every player brings a heavy with them so they can have a 10 second hold bot on their side to hold their target why they choke helplessly and get pummelled. Yeh thats real good *thumbs up*
Bunny hopping does nothing now against a melee toon the only thing it will save you from is the odd AS, seeing as melee range got a buff.
The melee changes including taunt alone were enough to make things balanced in pvp, with the addition of pain doms. Now the vills have emps too i dont see why they would feel the need to complain. Imo everyone thing else was a waste of time..
A vill team could be so strong with the i12 rules if the team consisted of lets say; a pain dom, 2 therms and a kin. i dont see much dying there unless people are using vent to perform perfect ladder spikes.
Ofc you can have your opinion im just stating mine and most of everyone elses too..

My Widow is rolled as a Fortunata, the build for that can be found in the "soldiers of Arachnos" section of the forum on one of the posts i helped a guy out with but that has pretty much the same sort of def numbers as the build above. The NW build above was just an example of how hig def you can get if you build it for defense. I understand theres no phase or meds but when you got temp phase theres no point really.
My Fort is called Loartunata but its on the EU and i don't play that often on the EU anymore just now and then until my sub runs out (should be soon actually).
Gamete.. -
TA is an amazing set, i don't see why it would be disliked. The aoe slows, -res and -def debuffs will make it very easy for your minion to steamroll.
-
Just for reference heres the NW build i made..You're telling me those defense levels are easy to go through?
