lol tbh its not worth gettin good at now tbh, pvp fails and has failed since i13 since they dont care about the playerbase, pre-i13 im sure a few peeps might of give u tips but tbh we just dont care no more as the enjoyment level is about the same as plantin a brick in your forehead
That's disappointing. Is it worth asking in-game, as while tips are helpful what I need is training, such as one on one fights.
I know I'll lose but what I need is someone to say 'next time you should do this'. I realise that the adjustments on PVP have upset the PVP community (you'd have to be blind not to!!) and I know I'm coming late to the party.
If there really is no point, then thanks anyway.
there are the occasional event where everyone joins in the lag kill fest, but ric is right its seriously not worth bothering about unless u have a a complex alogrithim set up on excel or smt like

Previous to that, lots of options would have been fun.
Arena with no DR ( diminishing returns ) is a *little* more interesting and gives you a few more options for fun builds.

Be prepared to loose and loose often, the difference between the good PvP'rs and the ones that fail is all to do with this initial phase, the people who will excell in PvP are the ones that will pick them selves straight back up again no excuses and learn from it.
This game has a steep learning curve in particular, especially with all the changes to what power does what in post i13 PvP.
My advice to you is to roll a stalker, they are great for observing the PvP environment and learning when to attack / counter attack / play defensivly ect.
I would roll Elec melee because Thunder Strike is so omgwtf good right now, go Regen if you can afford the IO's to go staminless and pick up assualt and tactics for the perception and damage boost, between Dull pain, Recon, IH, MoG, Shadow meld (Mainly to set up easy AS's) and phase you will not die.
If you cant afford the IO's needed (You will need to purchase PvP IO's for optimal results - for example 90 recharge + 30 damage and good recovery bonuses)i would roll Will Power. Again if you ultimately plan on using the arena, although im not sure much of it goes on EU side atm then i would suggest WP primarily for the Repel resist ( the repel resist bonuses on PvP IO's are not reliable enough).

Hi there Escalus. I'd like to echo Max and say that if you want to try a few fights and get advice, I'd be happy to help you out. Send me a tell or in-game e-mail and we can arrange a few fights.
Also, I don't agree with previous posts that state only Ice/SS is good enough. There are plenty of other options, and it is quite possible to get what is viewed as bad combinations to work. It will just take a bit more time, build investment and unconventional tactics.
