Do the build spag posted and you cant go much wrong really, atleast for the power choices. If you can afford it get the same IO´s to, i played his elec/therm and it was so good it felt harsh against the 1 i was facing.

Don't confuse it guys, seriously, that ^

You will notice many pvp´rs have left EU servers, and some off uss have moved to US servers where PvP still excists(myself included) and are unleashing pwnage there
And ice/ss tanks are silly OP atm, i got 1 purpled out and they are very lol to play, not much can stop those things. -
This build is very similar to my fire/fire scrapper. Its a bit expensive but was well worth it

If you dont want to put the time and effort to get the IO´s thats fine by me. But give me 1 reason why we who actually worked hard and spent alot off times in tf´s or farming for that matter, should be punished for it? To be honest its not our fault you cant be arsed to put the effort in to get them, since they are there for everybody to get. Its just a matter off how much effort YOU are willing to put in.
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
IO's are earned, be it through farming, playing the markets or simply ploughing through taskforces.
They're *in the game* ... why penalise those that spent the time to get them?
It's like telling a formula one driver "sorry, we're going to a wheel off now. You've gotten quite good at this driving malarky now and we want to level the playing field again"
[/ QUOTE ]
Point is they have to be GRINDED. GRIND GRIND GRIND.
giving a big advantage to those people willing to do it will put people like me who cant be bothered with it off the game.
By not penalising those that spent the time to get them youre penalising everybody else. Its either or.

Tank: Ice/energy is still good, but these days id go for ice/ss, and go with either fire or ice epic. Throw KO blow and throw the hold from the epic´s, wich will hold the sqiushy´s, wich means you can burn the BF´s and greens pretty fast.
Controller: Ice/rad will destroy anything in the game really. Both imob´s, holds and slows from primary and the mighty debuffs from rad. illusion troller isnt that bad but ice simply outperforms ill in duel´s very much.
Blaster: Fire/energy is still probably the king here, followed by psy/energy.
Defender : the old FoTM Rad/psy still holds its ground good, but im not sure what to go for here, cold/sonic or rad/psy or sonic.
SCrapper: Spine/regen is excellent for duels (especially against blasters, can take the hits) untill you run into a troller. -
Thanks for the good times mate. And thanks for having me in the sg
-
If i have the time i might stop by and get some fun before subs run out.
-
Many here is moaning about my blaster cant do that, my defender cant do this etc...Dont forget that this game is built around TEAM play. Playing solo in this game will never be balanced, there´s a counters to everything. Just doing duels and playing solo in zones etc is the most dull pvp IMO.
Bringing a team off 4-5 or more with Mixed AT´s (pentads for example) thats some fun pvp, keeping buffs upp, combining spike´s with debuffs etc, locking targets down, keeping enemy blasters etc taunted. There are loads off tactics to be used.
Some fast paced action that needs good reaction´s and at the same time keeping your nervs under control while your adrenaline rushes in your body. ( Like playing emp when spag is enemy blaster)
Solo this game will never have balance im afraid, but teams we could very much get close to it, especially now with the patrons/ancillary pools getting changed.
There we go, just needed clear my thoughts a bit...
I would happily hold a friendly pvp night to proove to the peeps that most off uss isnt that hostile towards you pve´rs. Arena ofc. -
Elec is the best choice for a Kinetic Defender, when it comes to end draining anyway. Its a great suport toon for team pvp aswell. That toon IMO would be more fun then any melee tbh.
With 250 mill you can make a decent toon i think. I will try to make something upp in mids thats playable, when im back home(at work now). -
I remember playing a mate´s EM stalker, and lol, stacking loads off +dam from sets and dam proc´s , a stalker is fully capable off deeling with a blaster on its own, i see it almost every time in RV, hell even Spag have problems with some stalkers
. And a stalker that needs a AS to kill isnt a very decent 1 tbh. I hardly ever use AS unless i find someone thats silly enough to stand still when stalkers are around. And with practise its even possible to land a AS on a jumping blaster, the very best stalkers on Union can pull those things off(shame its very few left now), its just a question how fast you are with timing it.
This goes for Zone´s tho, in a arena its very different. -
No harm in asking, just since we are on the doorstep off i13, it would be better off waiting with rolling a new toon atm.
But if you still wanna have a go, i would from these, wp, ice or fire/ss or EM. they are the most popular choices atm.
[ QUOTE ]
So where´s the harm of getting a general idea of how it works now?
[/ QUOTE ] -
This is also true
[ QUOTE ]
might aswell wait to see i13 changes before pimping a blaster at the moment as your money might be better spent elsewhere...
[/ QUOTE ] -
This to me looks playable
You will have 1598 hp with just the 2 easy +hp accolades, can slot for more hp to cap it, but i prefer more rech then getting 7 more hp :P

Remove webnade from weapons mastery? sad tbh, almost the best choice for a scrapper epic for pvp.
-
Yea, rewards maybe in i19 ?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Well, don't forget there's this new merit system coming in I13 too, and so far, it's not been said if you can earn them from PvP as well as PvE - so it's possible that changes to make PvP easier combined with rewards for PvP might be a good boost.
[/ QUOTE ] -
Yer, i still dont understand why no reward system isnt even talked about, that would make LOADS off people come to the zones/arena IMO.
I very much doubt that any off these changes will make any difference.
